I, being a 22 year old man child, still love this show. I am the target audience, the loud flashy colors and sounds really capture and hold my attention
The only memories I have of this show are switching the tv over every time that god awful theme song started. Then again, I was 20 by the time this show ever premiered and didn’t find myself watching Nick much at the time anyway.
For whatever reason, I remember 10 seconds of the theme song in perfectly vivid detail, and sometimes my brain decides to torture me by playing it on loop. This is my own personal hell.
I remember being annoyed enough by this show when it came on that I just turned off the tv and did my homework instead. The one time I ever sat through a whole episode, I did surprise myself by laughing at one of the jokes, which I still remember- the teacher announced that there had been a misprint on the lunch menu, and that “Meat Larf” should actually read “Meat Lard” - and that was enough of an unexpected joke that I laughed pretty hard, but I remember it was IMMEDIATELY followed up by the titular characters yelling and ruining the joke and it wasn’t funny anymore. Even as a kid I could see that this show’s goal was to be as loud and screechy and fast as possible, like a siren, to get your attention through sheer saturation, and I resented that.
My parents were usually pretty chill about what my sibling and I watched on TV. We could watch scary things like Invader Zim, cute things like My Little Pony, and everything in between. They told us we couldn’t watch Fanboy and Chum Chum
I also lowkey liked it as a kid, but I know that the creator of the show is really wholesome and interacts with the small Fandom around the show so I respect that

I remember Fanboy & Chum Chum blew up in popularity when Glitch Techs released, a lot of people were surprised that the creator of them was a creator of this show.
This show feels like that one hyperactive, mentally draining friend you hung out with once and then they started following you everywhere and you don't have the heart to tell them you don't want to be around them so you just put up with it
I discovered this show in my 30's and loved every minute of it. I don't know if you have to let yourself be a kid again to enjoy it or I'm just crazy, but in either case, Fanboy & Chum Chum is one of the few more recent Nickelodeon shows that I've actually enjoyed.
Yes! I remember the theme song, the earwax thing, "Roadkill Juju" and "Belly Juju". And a handful of other very vague scenes, some from the video game I think. That's it oh and "Repulsive Juju" and "Repugnant Juju." that may have been when I learned those words
The main thing I like about the show is the animation(not really the artstyle)I like how bouncy and cartoony it is that was probably my first exposure to cgi animation if I had neflex I'd probably go back and watch it honestly
Not going to lie, I used to always watch this show every morning before school. This show is so weird and stupid and I couldn't get enough of it for some reason lol
Half the time I spent watching this show (which wasn't much) was spent just trying to understand it. This show was such a hodgepodge of chaos it's very existence is out of left field.
I remember loving this show. I don't remember a single thing about it and forgot it existed until I saw this video, but I remember loving it for some strange reason.
I haven't watched it in a while, but I thought it was absolutely fun to watch. I was a grown up when I watched it and would probably still enjoy it now.
For me, this show is a classic favourite of mine. It's low on my list for the crude humour and slight body horror, sure, but its fast paced, constant attention grabbing visuals and animation was great for my ADHD mind at the time it aired (I was around 11 then). It was extremely stimulating, it grabbed my attention constantly with a barrage of things, and the fast paced nature of it all felt like a natural speed to me when I was a kid. I remember getting so excited hearing the theme song and even singing along each episode. Plus, i enjoyed the animation which, for the era it aired in, was pretty monumental for CGI tv animation, combining 2D cartoon rules and physics in a 3D environment. Nothing felt stiff, the visuals didn't feel like a weird uncanny valley thing (looking at you Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness), and it was digestible.
This really proves that ADHD is a spectrum because I also have ADHD and couldn't stand this shoe because it was too much for me visually. And also it was gross on parts
Fandoy and Chumpbucket. I dunno, something tells me something held this show back. The animation is too good and it seems very ambitious. I think if they were let to go a few seasons longer, they would have gotten more serious and the released episodes were just world-establishing episodes. This came out when I was like three years out of high school, so I wasn't a little kid. But even if this came out when I was a little kid, I would just assume that this was for hyper kids. I was a very quiet and mellow kid, and I'm still a very quiet and mellow adult. I do remember some kids I grew up with who acted like they ate Pixie Stix all day who would have LOVED this show.
One criticism I have with "Fanboy & Chum Chum" isn't how it desperately tries replicating the "Ren & Stimpy" brand of off-the-wall comedy and abstract visuals. Rather, it's transferring those styles into television-quality CGI. I'm sure that on paper, Eric had modest intentions. But when presenting his concepts as a final product, the result is a show that's misguided.
This show reminds me of the time I got grounded because I texted my grandmother to fetch me but not tell my mom that I asked her to. Except I accidentally sent the text to my mom. LMAO. I was watching Fanboy and Chumchum when I heard my mom shouting my name from the other room and I just pretended to SLEEP. I’ve never slept so fast in my life. When I woke up, I had hoped that she would have forgotten about it already but obviously she didn’t LOL. I don’t remember if I ended up going to my grandmother’s house that day, but I could never forget that text
You're making this show sound a lot better than it actually was for the most part xD I felt sorry for Kyle when watching the show, and the stalker girl was just really disturbing
Yeah, I miss that period of 2020. It was that one time where it was ok to enjoy it and people largely stopped hating it for 5 minutes. I even liked how people went and gave support to the creator on his twitter, and he seemed to really appreciate it going as far as to create new art for the show.

It wasn’t like ‘omg this show is like my whole entire life’, but I guess it’s because my energy can absolutely match that of what this show could produce, if not more. I’ve also definitely have always accidentally had a type when it came to my favorite characters from things- basically anyone that looks remotely ‘edgy’ and ‘cool’- and I particularly favored Kyle, he has a character design I did, and still do, like! ☺️ The show in general has, at least in my opinion, a pretty unique design in general that absolutely stuck out to me as a kid without realizing it. Even if I haven’t watched it in years, I think I could still get into it for shits and giggles.
4:34 AH yes... the most classfied data of the Systems Alliance of Earth... the age/classroom difference of Fanboy and Chum Chum. We have dismissed those claims.

I’m with you. I really enjoyed this show when it was on air.
Oooo that’s “bopwork orange” and “fanboy stinks”!!! Also dw you’re not alone in liking the show, I’ve been drawing fanart for it for almost 2 years now XD my favorite episode is either “hex games” or “lord of the rings” ^^ I love Kyle centered episodes what can I say
I used to watch it for fun when I was a little too
People like it enough that there is fanfiction. And it's not crack either.
I, being a 22 year old man child, still love this show. I am the target audience, the loud flashy colors and sounds really capture and hold my attention

I describe Fanboy and Chum Chum as a Chaotic mess of a Series that's not for everyone.
Unironically my favorite Nickelodeon show
The only memories I have of this show are switching the tv over every time that god awful theme song started. Then again, I was 20 by the time this show ever premiered and didn’t find myself watching Nick much at the time anyway.
I did the exact same thing. I despised this show when I was 12. Lol
I did the same thing when i was like 10
Same! I think I was 10 at the time lol!
For whatever reason, I remember 10 seconds of the theme song in perfectly vivid detail, and sometimes my brain decides to torture me by playing it on loop. This is my own personal hell.
Bro i did the same and i was like 10
I remember being annoyed enough by this show when it came on that I just turned off the tv and did my homework instead.
You're lucky. I couldn't watch Mr bean and tom and jerry when I was a kid
Having watched Fanboy and Chum Chum as a kid, I praise your parents
Fanboy And Chum Chum Was My Childhood When it Premiered On August 14, 2009 When I was a Kid
I've only met one person that actually liked this show. I couldn't even sit through one full episode 😩
I also lowkey liked it as a kid, but I know that the creator of the show is really wholesome and interacts with the small Fandom around the show so I respect that
I completely forgot about this show and I use to watch it religiously....

thought i was the only one
i don't know why but i really love how the characters look
also the lofi version of the theme song made by a youtuber I don't remember slaps‼️
I think we might just be starved for originality on the 3d front so these look amazing
The character designs looks decent. "Ugly" (at least according to the cartoon community) is a strong word, but it's far from it.
Barely seen the show but I agree.
@@poweroffriendship2.0 wym they are hideous to luck at, just look at that wizard kid. Like why? I can only wonder how uncomfortable the model artist must have been while creating him

Fanboy & Chum Chum is peak I don't wanna hear it
Judging by the ratings that's most people.
this show looks extremely well animated, there must of been a big budget behind this
wasted potential ._.
Fanboy and Chumchum don't have names, they never put their costumes off. They don't have parents. WHERE ARE THERE PARENTS?!
probably they are dead or far away so they can adopt new childrens

Fanboy and Chum Chum is one of the greatest anime’s out there. I’m glad SiivaGunner introduced it to me.
Having a stroke tryna read this rn
Same bro
It's not an anime... and I hope this comment is satire in it's entirety.
Best anime yet.
Invader Zim, Hey Arnold & The Thornberries were the non spongebob nick toons that are non annoying and worth the watch.
Just a heads up, this series was also made by the co-creator of Glitch Techs, let that sink in.
I find it VERY funny and strange that the creator of this show also co-created Glitch Techs. But without FaCC, GT wouldn't have been made and I could thank FaCC for that.
HAHAHA THE ACRONYM FOR FANBOY AND CHUM CHUM IS FACC HAHAHAHHAH

I actually liked this show, I found the character designs cute and I really wanted to drink a frosty freezy freeze. Though it's best watched in moderation, 1-2 episodes at a time tops.
Oh my god, same. When I was a stupid 8 year old or whatever, I took one look at the Frosty Freeze Freeze and wanted to have one IRL
Cute? Lmao I gotta disagree bud haha
When I was younger whenever I drank a slushy I thought of this show, till this day when I get a brain freeze I think of it💀
Damn you have some shitty taste
I remember Fanboy & Chum Chum blew up in popularity when Glitch Techs released, a lot of people were surprised that the creator of them was a creator of this show.
Weird never heard of it
@@rangerv1 Sadly it suffered from lack of promotion from both Nickelodeon and Netflix.
This show feels like that one hyperactive, mentally draining friend you hung out with once and then they started following you everywhere and you don't have the heart to tell them you don't want to be around them so you just put up with it
Discovering this channel for the first time is wild. Just a crazy nostalgia Trip
Nickelodeon gave up Adventure Time for Fanboy & Chum Chum I wonder how Adventure Time would have looked on Nickelodeon.
Probably wouldn't last as long or get drained out like Spongebob
@@CoolerMike would that be bad tho? Ot kinda got boring after Finn arm got cut off over his dad

Pretty good. Oh please do the replacements and the emperor's new school someday
Riley Daring was so attractive and stunning and gorgeous and beautiful and yummy... she was a SUPERMODEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I discovered this show in my 30's and loved every minute of it. I don't know if you have to let yourself be a kid again to enjoy it or I'm just crazy, but in either case, Fanboy & Chum Chum is one of the few more recent Nickelodeon shows that I've actually enjoyed.
I remember watching this show as a kid, and I genuinely thought this show was an actual fever dream

Who else has vague memories of Tak and The Power of Juju? Cause all I really remember is the theme song.
5 seconds of the theme song is about all I remember about it.
Yes! I remember the theme song, the earwax thing, "Roadkill Juju" and "Belly Juju". And a handful of other very vague scenes, some from the video game I think. That's it
oh and "Repulsive Juju" and "Repugnant Juju." that may have been when I learned those words
The main thing I like about the show is the animation(not really the artstyle)I like how bouncy and cartoony it is that was probably my first exposure to cgi animation if I had neflex I'd probably go back and watch it honestly
The animation was pretty good. If only the show was.
Now that I think of it, this show is one that kept us with ADHD focused and content 😂
maybe i should show my little sister this show, she enjoys bright flashing colors and loud noises, and that's ALL that this show is lol
she's almost 8 years old btw ._.
Fanboy and Chum-Chum will always definitley be "Nick's dirty secret" to me
Not going to lie, I used to always watch this show every morning before school. This show is so weird and stupid and I couldn't get enough of it for some reason lol
I suffered with ADHD for all my life, watching this show sent me on a fucking acid trip. that's why I love it...
Half the time I spent watching this show (which wasn't much) was spent just trying to understand it. This show was such a hodgepodge of chaos it's very existence is out of left field.
That’s probably why you didn’t like it lol your not supposed to understand it it’s retarted lol
I remember loving this show and I still do
I remember loving this show. I don't remember a single thing about it and forgot it existed until I saw this video, but I remember loving it for some strange reason.
I haven't watched it in a while, but I thought it was absolutely fun to watch. I was a grown up when I watched it and would probably still enjoy it now.
This show is the reason why my sense of humor is ass
So basically this show is literally crack for ADHD kids, got it.
LOL that last sentence XD
I don't understand why this show won an Emmy , it's absolutely mind-blowing how that actually happened.
Idk why, but the whistling in the intro always gotten me hyped as a kid 🤪
I don’t remember if I ended up going to my grandmother’s house that day, but I could never forget that text
i used to love this as a child and i remember searching for it as a teen and didnt resume watching lol
You're making this show sound a lot better than it actually was for the most part xD I felt sorry for Kyle when watching the show, and the stalker girl was just really disturbing
But that intro carries the show, it’s so catchy
No
Big no
Aw yeah remember when this show had like a brief fandom Renaissance that lasted for like a month and then everybody forgot about it?
Yh that was great
@@rangerv1 it was so random though like damn
Yeah, I miss that period of 2020. It was that one time where it was ok to enjoy it and people largely stopped hating it for 5 minutes. I even liked how people went and gave support to the creator on his twitter, and he seemed to really appreciate it going as far as to create new art for the show.
@@connorbeith3232 too bad everybody stopped....this is why I don't really like it when the internet decides to make some random thing popular, sure it's fun while it lasts, but everybody will eventually move on
This is just 3D Johnny Test with farts and not whip cracks.
I’m pretty sure i heard a whip crack in this show before
All I have to say is that if you locked me in a room, tied me to a chair, and had me pick between watching Fanboy and Chum Chum or a Glock, my funeral would be scheduled the next day.
Haven't seen it for years but when you are a young kid it's just a funny show that keeps you busy for idk 20mins
Oh man when I saw this in my notifications I was so excited! As I kid I absolutely loved this show!
The show in general has, at least in my opinion, a pretty unique design in general that absolutely stuck out to me as a kid without realizing it.
Even if I haven’t watched it in years, I think I could still get into it for shits and giggles.
4:34 AH yes... the most classfied data of the Systems Alliance of Earth... the age/classroom difference of Fanboy and Chum Chum. We have dismissed those claims.
We should definitely get these two boys Fanboy and Chum Chum in Nickelodeon All Star Brawl.
I genuinely expected the line "I sat down, watched every episode of Fanboy and Chumchum and I..." to end with "want to fucking [demonitize] myself".
The saddest fact about this cartoon is that it replaced adventure time
Honestly, I remember thinking the animation was very impressive for when it came out, a ton of fast, snappy movement and big, often off-model expressions. Even most of the character designs are great (glassy eyeballs aside)!
It just needed to be... y'know, less dumb.
i think that nick should give it a reboot. also the reason why the eyes bulge out like that because they tried making the cgi look like 2D animation
As an ADHD Autistic kid when this aired, It was AWESOME!
