The reason this episode works so well is because it shows the strength of Jaimie’s love in her life. He is her rock.
This was a brilliant season. The scene between Jamie & Claire was genius. The creative synergy between Sam & Caitriona is sublime. I've never seen any couple like them. Ever.
Claire and Jamie are going through very difficult and stressful times. The acting is superb. Their love for each other is inspirational. I love their ability to deal with very challenging situations. I don’t want their story to end.
I love when Cat says about Lizzie and the twins’ throuple. It was a delightful surprise in an otherwise emotional and sometimes painful episode, especially for people of the 1700’s.
Poor Claire… she can’t catch a break. This has been a very dark season, indeed. The acting has been extraordinarily excellent.

Right? I think these two actors are of the level of a Meryl Streep and Dustin Hoffman! They are brilliant and then they are drop dead gorgeous and good people in real life too, from what we can perceive.
The last episode is going to be stressful - like when the trial where she was accused of witchcraft!

This episode was very traumatic, with a bit of jiggery-pokery by Lizzie and the twins made fore excellent viewing but when Claire opens up to Jamie about the turmoil she is going through just broke my heart💔and then Jamie knowing what she must be going through takes her into his arms to comfort her, as she comforted him after Wentworth, well the tears just kept on coming! What phenomenal acting from them both, especially Claire on this occasion was exceptional, I thought all the Cast members did an excellent 👌 job also! and we mustn’t forget the amazing work the Crew always do! 👍 a big thank you 🙏 to all concerned 🥰👏

I couldn't agree with you more. Caitriona's acting in this scene was outstanding and excellent. For me, Jamie could have been a little more emotional about Claire's confession, more desperate or self-blaming himself for not realizing her situation, but overall it was a great episode with an outstanding performance from the entire cast.👌

@@naomimaria6893 Yes Naomi, I believe we fans have cried a lot of tears lately for Jamie & Claire, i have just watched the conclusion of S6.E8. that also meant I needed the tissues again, it’s not an episode I would like to watch more than once, although superb acting across the board, how Caitriona pulled it off being pregnant is astonishing! It was far too traumatic & violent for my taste! I have also just watched a refreshing chat with ‘Alex Vlahos’ ie. Allan ‘The Weasel’ Christie, on ‘Flip your Wig’ A.V.+ A. C. I barely recognised him as the Outlander villain! take care, maybe see you around, 🤗👋

Powerful episode, it was so good! Very hard material to put on a screen for actors to portray but this cast did it. Diana gives us page upon page of set up with these complicated storylines and this team brings it to life in a physical way on screen. Great job !!
Emotional rollercoaster at Frasers Ridge
Starz needs to go ahead and lock in season 8 now without a doubt. Its a must and it cant just end with season 7. Wouldnt be a complete series and surely would suck for the future dvd sales. Gotta have at least 8 but preferably 10 full seasons. I can see it now, you open the DVD collection and it contains two sides with 5 DVD'S per side. Its a no brainer lol.
I know next season is supposed to be twice as long with 16 episodes I believe. So if they where to cancel then they would I guess combine book 7 and 8 into season 7. I watched an interview though a few weeks back before season 6 aired and they asked the actor who plays Jamie how many seasons would there be? If I remember right he said the author just last November I believe finished her 9th book. I also believe that I saw the author is about to start on the 10th book. So personally I would say that they at least would do 2 more season’s. Even if they combined book 7-8 in next season and then 9 and 10 in a last season. That would at least gives us a couple more. Let’s hope anyway.

Mrs. and Mr. Bug should've been kicked out their home a while ago. That lady openly was fishing for confirmation of Claire despising and harming Malva. Someone like that is likely not defending them on the Ridge and sharing anything she deems inappropriate and weird to everyone listening. I hope Fergus and Ian or their Native friends come to their rescue somehow, they can't burn down their house as the finale to this season with Bri and Roger away.
I am a huge fan of this exquisite work of art. Every detail revised into a perfect reality. Based on every carefully perfect detail one thing escaped much from a real lack of attention.
This outlander changed my life for better so thanks Diana;Sam&Cait and the whole Starz..who else is on droughtlander waiting😂 hope there's season ten at least and end their journey of life together 💓

I love this season. Even though I haven't been able to see it all. I've been through the pieces and the bits like this, plus, I've read ALL the books.
I of course love Jamie and Claire, but I also love Brianna and Roger, Lizzy and the twins, especially their story line, I really needed the laugh, and it was a full on belly laugh in the book. I can't wait to see it played out. I wasn't crazy about the Malva story line, but love the actors.
It will be interesting to see how they age the baby of Marsali and Fergus, in order to proceed with their storyline in the book.
To those who are upset with the way the story is proceeding, sorry, life happens. Things change. But it's wonderful that for Jamie and Claire, it always circles back to them.
I hope we.ll see new season soon. I haven.t seen so interesting tv show for a.long time.

Why Starz can’t be used in The Netherlands drives me crazy every time a new season is launched, read all the books, now what going to happen, but still the NEED to watch it is just like the need of a cigarette when you are out of them

Claire est dans une grande douleur psychologique et va seconfier à jaimie que toutes ses boîtes de sa vie viennent de se briser et qu'elle hynale de leytere pour oubliée ses problèmes et ses allucinations et jaimie l'écoute et lui dire qu'il est là pour elle et de l'aider dans ses grands moments de détresse. Claire a été remarquable dans cette scène son comportement ses mains et son visage voulez vraiment tout nous raconter sa détresse merci pour ses moments de douleurs et surtout un grand merci pour ses deux acteurs merveilleux 🥰🙏

C'était un épisode vraiment traumatisant avec la mort de Malva et de son bébé. Les visions que Claire voit de Lionel et doit s'endormir avec l'éther. Elle fini par le dire à Jamie et il la réconforte comme elle l'avait fait pour lui après son séjour à la prison. Lizzie qui 3st enceinte et ne sait pas par quels jumeaux car elle a couché avec les deux en même temps et à cette époque cela doit être cruel de faire ça. Brianna et Roger , surtout Roger les marient avec le serment des mains. Enterrement de Malva et de son bébé pas facile car sa famille ne veulent pas que Claire et Jamie touchent les cercueils. Pas trop hâte d'être à lundi prochain car c'est le dernier épisode de la saison 6 😪. Hâte de voir saison 7

I am not interested in Roger and Brianna's love life. I don't feel their chemistry at all. I'm sorry Malva had to die, because this actress was full of passion and fire. I would have liked more stories with her. However, she's gone. Fergus and Malari have better chemistry and were fun to watch...I watched a scene that was cut, of their relationship and it should not have been cut. It gave me a better sense of their love and lives. The ONLY reason Outlander has done so well, is Claire and Jamie. Periodt. There's much to back them up, but without them... it's nothing. I would love a spin off with Lord John Grey's character. A gorgeous gay man navigates the 1700's. His elegance is remarkable.

They both connected with her, everyone has seen this crush for months now. I smiled and laughed when she told Claire she loved 'it' and them equally. Claire would've connected with her about enjoying sex if they were already dealing with scandal and suspicion. I'm very happy for her because she deserves her own person and story.

He was sexually abusing her for years and was the father of the baby. And before she could tell the true that Jamie wasn't in fact the father but him,he kills her to save his own ass.

I don't know why but this season, especially this episode just annoyed me. I'll totally admit I have been dealing with a lot of crap lately so maybe it's just me and I'll revisit the season later. Of course, excellent acting. But Lizzy really pissed me off . All the Frasiers have done so much for her and now at their darkest hour, she MANIPULATES them? Bree being whinny about Roger wanting to become a minister? WTF else can a 20th century history professor do in the 17th century. Mr. and Mrs Bugg?
A$$holesI! I hated the lack of Fergus and Marsali. But Fergus drowning his sorrows and becoming a neglectful father and boarderline wife beater because Marsali was knocked unconscious? WHAT? The whole Scottish nationality with their once endearing superstitious beliefs were just ugly the season. The only one who didn't grate on my nerves is Jamie. I've never felt this way about Outlander before so yeah, I'll probably give the season another chance down the line.

It's official, my last time watching outlander, unfortunately. Since middle season 3 I've been trying really hard to give it a chance, since the first two seasons were just outstanding, in every aspect. But things changed dramatically, and I mostly just kept on watching because of the visuals ( costume and set designs still spot on), but not anymore. It lost its soul, and even though stories evolve, this is not the case.😔
I would like for you to elaborate further, I haven't read the books, but everything here looks pretty logical, from a psychological point of view it all makes sense

The incredible love she has for Jamie? I dont think Claire does love Jamie at least not now. I dont know what season 7 will contain obviously but if she ends up in bed with homosexual John Grey and marries him like it is in one of the books. I will stop watching.

Awful awful adaptation - 2 years of trauma, secrets and lies, addiction and a complete mental breakdown, and in the end the writers just “cure” Claire in 5 minutes of weeping by having her turn to Jamie? The same Jamie who was too unrealistic as a source of help and support for the what has been the majority of this season? Book 6 is pretty dark but we have a rock solid Jamie and Claire who face it together - without that you just have unrelenting misery which is what was served up this season. No marriage is made stronger by such a long term deception for however laudable reasons - Jamie now knows he cannot trust that Claire is honest with him and if he doesn’t watch her like a hawk she can risk not only her own safety but everyone in the house too through her reckless use of a highly flammable substance. The illusion that Jamie and Claire are soulmates has been well an truly tarnished and I have no ideas how they will claw back from that in season 7. My guess is they can’t so they will pretend it never happened and PTSD and ether will never be mentioned again.
Exactly. Writers creative license taken too far . Jamie being oblivious while Claire lies, is deceitful and an addict.. the source material is there but the 'clever' writers had to mess it up. Bad soap operaish acting by Cait Balfe. Blaming Jamie has nothing to do with ptsd....come on writers.....you can do better or not.. clearly Ms Balfe cannot carry a Claire centred season judging by lowest ratings... we want more Jamie and Claire not her solo journey and FINALLY turning to Jamie. That is not smart at all.. dumb move for a supposedly smart woman

Had to be true to life. Crazy situations happen in our rountine of daily living! The best is Clair and Jamie have the love all of us wish we had or have. Jamie is a female’s dream come true! On the scene and I believe in real everyday life. He has the kindness, strength ,Good looking and so sexy! I love Outlander! I will read books to keep the story alive for me alittle longer🫶✨💫🌟⭐️

I’m saddened by the very dark nature of this season. Yes, the acting has been phenomenal but it doesn’t feel like Outlander to me. I’m not sure I even want to watch the season finale. I have continued to watch it over the years because of the love story between Claire and Jamie. It made me smile. No smiles this season. 🫤
Have you read the books? Because the book that this season is based on is pretty dark.
