Great to see boss Nick insisting on safety precautions.
Not having safety harnesses would be irresponsible and probably make him liable to prosecution. Anyway, would anyone sane not use a harness?
@@StillAliveAndKicking_ Dan is a risk taker. The trouble is he’s got great balance and great strength. That could lead to overconfidence. Nick is sound and knows better.
Enough
None of them would take any risks pointless to be stupid couldn't finished the Château and while we all watching , they are all a great team you just have to love them even in the rain God bless you all ❤️ ❤❤ 🙏 🙏 🙏
Nick has not been able to get Dan and Brian to wear helmets, not matter what they are doing. Being headstrong can be damaging to one's brain.
Not just Dan ,but all his friends are amazing hard workers !
And amazingly tired after today 😴
@@Brianslifeinfrance take care of you guys !!
@@andreearadu2394 totally agree!
Where are the rest of the puppies?
Monsieur avez vous travaillé dans le batiment ??
This side of the chateau could be called the ‘Summer Wing’ and the other , the ‘Winter Wing’, reflecting when they were roofed and water proofed.
Nice
I like that idea! 😅
Le château de Chaumont édifié en 1886, l’OSB n'a pas lieu d'être dans ce lieu !!!
@@1952758 It's cheaper and easier to use OSBs and it will not impact the outer look after the roof gets covered.
What is an osb?
The lift is a gamechanger. Just send the sheets up. No tricky hoist, no hours of wrangling them up. Wow. Just wow.
Right? When they’d lug those heavy loads up the stairs I’d scream at my screen EXTERIOR LIFT!!!!
I assume it probably wasn't cheap but damn, that would have made the upper floors way easier
@@vadekaboatloads of money coming in from ad revenue. They can afford it.
@@martinultimatevw3779 And even more boatloads of money from Patreon. He paid his dues and now it's all paying off big time!
And far less fatigue at the end of the day. The lift is a very good thing and will allow for a quicker build. Think of all the drywall it will hoist.
Im always amazed seeing a chainsaw as a finishing tool...especially 1 handed.
Those small electric ones are very handy and the kerf is little larger than a skil saw.
I don't know how common that is. I've never seen that done at a construction site outside of this channel
Waterproof, tomorrow!
Hard to fathom how much quicker this roof has gone up.
Well done, lads 👍
What a difference the lift makes! Now water? Wow! Getting to be quite livable! 😁
Soon he will be talking things like electricity and windows and doors! Can you imagine? Life in the teepee may have changed him too much 😆
There is no sewage system yet
@@mireille4751 I’m assuming a septic tank will soon be on the shopping list? (Unlikely to be mains sewage available out there?)
@@mireille4751 There's the small septic tank for the weird ground floor toilet by the servants' stairs.
Water on means fire sprinkler system in the near future
This is the best construction comedy show in the world. 35 years as a contractor I'm shaking my head in amazement, you guys are the best !
Glad to see a little more safety equipment in use. Better to use and not need than to need and not have used. Take it from someone that needed it, and thankfully was using it.
Stop
Nick is still the only one using a mask and helmet
@@chriscorbin2059 I guess Dan and Brian need to show off their magnificent hair... 😏
Nothing more Beautiful than watching Manly Men at work in their element ! Reaching goals and uplifting each other.. imagine if leaders would work together like this? Our world would be heaven on earth!!

HEAR! HEAR!! We should ALL dare to dream 🥰
I love how almost all these videos start with the sounds of birds chirping
When you bought this derelict structure I never honestly believed you’d do all this. It’s a monumental task and I’m so proud to see how much you’ve accomplished.
Water and a roof in one day - time to get out the fine china!
Leaps and bounds now Dan, Awesome xo
I am happy for all of you. You have worked so diligently for months now. Congratulations to all of you guys for the blood, sweat & tears. Well rewarded. The puppies are so sweet. I have an Australian Border Collie myself!😊
This is the only UA-cam channel that I get disappointed about if there isn't anything new for that day. My favorite by far..! Love watching the progress.
absolutely! I feel the same. I also need hear more of that Irish accent
Going well! Can't wait to see how they tackle the middle section, I've forgotten the overall shape
I love that smile Dan, I'm glad Nick is there getting y'all to work safely. Congrats guy's 😊
Stop
Nope, valid comment. We still think Dan's amazing.
@@lisatirkot7210 No.
Love seeing the progress on the roof, and a little bit of adorable puppy content
I love those little puppies running around! Thank goodness you have help Dan. Your once impossible job is coming to life! Well done!
These men are wonderful…meaning they get the job done.
Le château de Chaumont édifié en 1886, l’OSB n'a pas lieu d'être dans ce lieu !!!
roof, waterline, puppies, good weather....a great Day !
As someone who struggles with a serious fear of heights, i applaud you guys for what you are doing and achieving. Everyday the chateau gets a step closer to bring watertight. Fantastic! 😀
What a historic day. Water in front of the house and the second roof almost closed. Fantastic guys. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😊🇩🇪
That lift is really special! I remember the days Dan was climbing up a regular ladder carrying a heavy bucket of concrete or bricks! He's certainly put his blood, sweat and tears into this project. Very proud of him.
Good morning team❤
Fantastic yes …finally water 💦to a hose 😇🥰🥹
Calvin must be heartbroken not being there helping ☹️
Bryan and Nick are incredible workers and friends …
That lifter is absolutely amazing !!!
The puppy gang have grown heaps ..
The excitement is real and uncontrollable all over the world for you Mr Dan ❤❤❤❤…
See you tomorrow .
So finally Dan can fill the bath in his yurt with clean water.😊
Amazing progress safety manager Nick good to hear him he's so professional.
The old girl is starting to shine . Slowly coming to life, so happy. Great work guys. Be careful.
That lift makes an enormous difference.
It's amazing how it gives back to the house a proper shape 👏
I can’t wait to see how the turret gets worked in. This is such an awesome project!
The only time it’s not a big day at the chateau is when you’re not there. …and even that’s quickly changing as you breathe life into it and the grounds.
👏👏👏👍Water ✔️ Waterproofing the roof tomorrow...WOW! Rock on...❤👍🌹and puppies too. A very productive day, indeed.
Nick is pretty kick ass. His contribution has been phenomenal, just in this video with all the rigging, Nick deserves his own damn wing when its finished.
Wonderful to see Nick, aka The Illustrated Man, helping.
“Water proof” is the magic word! Still get slight dizzy watching you guys climbing about, even with the harness
"Beautiful sunny day" massive grey clouds in the background.
Well it started out sunny😊😊😊
Plus, he's on camera with wet hair!
At first, I thought it had started raining!
Absolutely a feat of sheer determination and a collective wish and will around the globe to get Château Chaumont to its current magnificent state. An epic journey. Well done those people. 🎉🎉🎉
I love watching Chateau De LaNoggin being reborn….
And the puppies growing 😁❤️
Big Dan, it's amazing what you can do with"a little help from your friends" get it waterproofed and letting the water flow how cool is that!! We'll see ya tomorrow!!
That toolbelt JUST about won at the end there... sneaky bugger.
You’re so well equipped now, with the lift and all, you’re just going to have to buy another chateau.
having built a large pole frame house with stud walls between the posts, I can sympathize with the guys over the joys of scribing intricate shapes on sheeting.
No rain. YES!
Considering what you started with…a ruin and very few tools to work with, it’s jaw-droppingly amazing what you have accomplished!
😲👍🏻😃👏🏻😁👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😁
Lordy Dan and crew of friends, what an accomplishment in just a few days!!! The interior will be much safer come winter time, with no rain and snow slowing you down.
Goodness, I do love this channel!!!
Wow! Water AND a roof?!! Bravo! You’re just moseying right along, lickity split! Well done! Such a great team!
Roof going on at an amazing pace, water supply connected & glimpse of puppies; brilliant
Absolutely no way you could get me up there. You win the award for bravery in my book.
That lift is worth every penny it cost.
Your post has been up 4 minutes!!!!!!!!!!! What fun. Wonderful work boys!
I love those "Good morning greetings, Dan"
😂
Now remember Dan you are in France where the pace is slower 😂
The Roof is getting its Skin ! Dangling Outside - wow - Brilliant Job Boys ! Great View from the Drone ! Water Connection to the Outside - Fantastic Progress - Fun to see it being Connected to the Chateau ! Brilliant Video ! Many Cheers from Australia !!!!
I share your happiness as the french rain has been incessant
And I thought it was just us in the UK with all the rain. Been watching the TdF and the weather looks fab.
So much rain here in Brittany, too. 🌧️
Yeah basically it's 2 dasy of sun, then 2 days of rain.
@deborahmarion9038 can you keep it please and stop sending it this way 😂
@@tomjoad1363 depressing 😞
WHOE. I miss you Dan. Hope to see you today!!!!
Just the addition of B/ryan really makes it go much more quickly!
The queen’s shoulders are now proud and awaiting the placement of her crown. Great work, guys!
Real men working together to make a thing of beauty, well done guys👏👏👏
Amazing....another mile stone reached.....thank goodness Nick is keeping you three safe....so no awful sounds erupting from my body....well done
The right crew with the right tools and building materials is a winning combination! Well done everyone!
You boys have worked so hard to get dried in. I can call you boys as I am older than most. My younger self really wants to repell off the top of the Chateau. Well done gentlemen! ❤❤❤
Im old but I'm with them every exciting second as well.
Thanks for keeping the high standard for safety nick.
You guys have this down to a science now.
.My toes are curling watching. Thank heaven no wind

The grey clouds blew over AND you got water. What a day!
Roof, water, puppies!! wuhuuu!!

This is a true labor of love. Your heart is fully engaged and we feel your joy ! Congratulations on progressing so far from day one ! A big shout out to all of the team ! 🎉👍❗
Everything is good. The new lift is so speedy. You guys work so well together. It's lovely to see happy builders getting on with things. I can't wait to see the next bit of weatherproofing. Loving it all. Astounded at how quickly you've done the roof.
SO HAPPY (and relieved) to see the climbing gear, Dan!!
You men are amazing.I have been watching this from the start and I can't wait for "tomorrow " to come. From Pennsylvania USA.
Looks like a cozy space to read a book.

Although, I have never 👎🏻 once been mentioned by any followers.
Or acknowledged by you as the UA-camr I want to Congratulate you all.
Especially, you fulfilling your dream from a ruin to your vision
Better weather than last time
49,000 views but only 10K likes??? C'mon people. The likes and comments earn Dan more money to keep the project going. If you are being blessed by this, LIKE the video and earn him the money to continue the work....
You're lucky in Spain the water companies will not connect the mains water until you have a functioning bathroom and kitchen.
In a world of crazy, these videos bring a smile to my heart. Thank you, Dan and crew, for a bit of levity, wholesomeness, and dedication to craft. It's a nice break from the ugly news and politics of the day. You guys are rock stars...
Water? Pretty fancy. Next thing you're going to want is glass windows!
Dan,you have be read that many many many time in the comments, but you and your friends could be realy proud of the amazing job you do on this chateau!
Came across this a few months back before you even had the first roof up. Lost sight. Now that im redoing my own house came straight back and loving the videos with a new passion
Very very happy to see all in safety harnesses whilst doing the roof. Very glad Nick is keeping everyone safe whilst on the job. Huge relief for me. So very exciting watching the roof be put into place - can’t wait to see what you do with the interiors woohoo. Congratulations, well done for everything the team has achieved so quickly
Clean water! And 2.5 months seems fast..
Thanks for the puppy update! Great progress today.😊
Water 💧You've waited a long time for that!
I cannot imagine how tired you must be but keep on going because of the team 🥰
Le chantier avance bien! Usually even if they come to connect your water they will always find an excuse to leave and finish the work a month later....you r lucky! You r starting slowly to enter the 21 century Dan...water!!!Well half of it....its like a source in the middle of a forest! U don't have water in your home yet😅 you should remind people about the windows....they will keep asking🙄
Hi Dan. Its good that Brian is as comfortable as Nick on the ropes. I like the idea of you in charge of cutting up the boards and getting it up to the guys. Makes sense to have the right guy to the right task. Looking great. And having the water thingamigjiggies installed is also a great achievement.
Dan are you okay? We all get worried when your normal daily video is not posted.
It is going to be fabulous to see it done. Again be proud Dan. Be proud. 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️🤩🤩🤩
Juhu, es geht weiter 🥰
Ich bin extra aufgeblieben 😅
Ich auch Susi 😊
