Nice review Cager! I didn't know this bike... But what I've enjoyed the most in your video was all the amazing roads and landscapes. You're lucky to leave there :)
The AF1 Aprilia forum is a great source for all things Aprilia. Many people change the gearing to take care of the surging at low RPM item you mention.
Last version of the Aprilia Caponord have won the "Alps Master 2016" test organized by the german "MOTORRAD" magazine. The bike gots the same score of the new Honda Africa Twin. KTM and BMW GS was outclassed. The majority of people doesn't know even the existence of this bike :)
If you notice its the version without eloctronic suspension so maybe this models with the standard suspension sucks. I have the travel pack version 2016 it's a very nice bike
If your buddy have add than his suspension have electronically adjusted suspension... Not sure what he did to fuck them up but he should bring it to service to be checked. Very dangerous to ride with misdialled suspension
the old rally raid is something i would really like to own one day, this looks as if they wanted to go multistrada with what they had. it for sure is a great bike, but i dont think it will be a cult bike or remembered as the old one was (same as the new africa twin and old one).
i dont think many remember the old Caponord either. only owners and people who actually know about bikes, and know how to distinguish between a bad bike and an excellent bike which simply didnt sell because of unjustified bad reputation. old Caponord was better than its direct rival (Varadero) in every way, and equally good to the KTMs and BMWs of its era, but simply the name "honda" is enough to make a best seller.
CagerOnTwoWheels Aprilia updated the ECU a few times and at the 1000 km service they installed me the last version, it brought the engine's usable rpm range down to 2000 rpm with absolutely no stuttering. Much better city cruising now. They are all sold with the old ecu so if it was new it might not have been updated yet.
Mate. I think lack of grip is because of road. I saw some thin layer of sand or other mineral on that part of road. Maybe its from the rocks. Nice video.
CagerOnTwoWheels I mean you have to look them up when you are back home. I would have done this before i went to the shop. I don't want to sound mean or something it's just you are not that enthusiastic any more as you were some years ago.
@@rockyp3917 So criticism is a bad thing to you? It keeps you awake and you get a chance to grow. He used to be a lot better some years ago. That's why I unsubscribed. No hard feelings. Just a matter of opinion.
@@hermanstokbrood To be fair he did had the figures on screen. Anyhow, I want to see you put in the work , do editing and create an entertaining and better review.
@@rockyp3917 Cager had hardly any experience when he started. So it was fun to drive new motorcycles as a beginner. But he got lazy and I pointed that out. As I said, nothing wrong with that. I really don't understand why somebody picks up a motorcycle to drive and doesn't know about the specs. But hey that's my perspective. As I said I unsubscribed because his driving was a bad example for younger people and his vlogs were not that good anymore.
Maybe the they look the same, but they are not. Aprilia adopt (in 2014, 2015 and 2016 model) the electronic ADD semi-active system, a more sophisticated system than the ESA, adopted on the BMW GS. tinyurl.com/jsjplpz

I read the caponord engine is absolute crap though

What a scenic landscape! I envy you ...
Greetings from Germany.
Have had one for 4 years, best bike I've ever owned (ADD). It's quite rare in any parts, I can assure you, and all the better for it.
Cater, I love your review. The Capo has hand fulls of torque and power. Could this be the perfect tourer? I think so.
Cager what a views you have !!! Outstanding !!!
Its actually aprilia dynamic dampening for suspension and can be changed in settings to remedy that situation. Its electronic and set wrong it seems

Is it better than the kawasaki gtr.
Nice Bike! Thank you for your test!
did you change your mic setup? static?
Do you know what phone holder is installed ?
this or the Tracer 700? i know, the tracer has much weaker engine and less horsepower... but, i wanna know if the hp really matters.
you think u can handle the power better than the tracer on tour? i dont think so. on thin u have to concentrate more.

Where is this beautiful place?

awesome video and sound.

OK lol I just watched the whole video 😂
Great fast continent crossing tourer.
Fantastic!
Do more Aprilia reviews!
CagerOnTwoWheels If you ever get a chance, test the Aprilia Tuono V4. It should have one of the best engines ever!
3 more and you got 48k subs! AWESOME!
2 more....
FINAL COUNTDOWN
Such a pity you filmed into the light. It makes it fard to see anything clearly or with good colour.
So... a Touring-feared dorsoduro, uhm? :)
Cager, you don't even take any effort anymore to get the figures right the bike you are driving. You're losing it man.

Look man, I need to study. So please stop uploading new videos! :p
2024...there's only 17 registered on the road in the UK...camchain sprocket fault puts people off...not a big job to sort!
6th gear at 40 kph???? No way! that's way too much shifting for me.
first
second... the first of the loosers :(
losers.
Damnit! double-loser today! ::((
ComandanteJ How to lose a loose nut
guy has not got a clue what he is talking about, laughable.
Aprilia = Poor mans Ducati
