Thank you for the review! I was deciding between the two earlier this year and went with the Barely Art due to the power price and the cute refill bottle. I put a string around my pin so I wouldn't lose it, which has helped me locate it on my messy craft table. I actually store the glue with the pin and haven't had any issues with clogs. I've never noticed any tackiness when dried. Regardless of which one you get, the fine tip is key for delicate die cuts or bling!
I saw one UA-camr glue a magnet to her bottle and puts her pin there so as not to lose it. Now that I think about it... I just received my first bottle of bearly glue last week. I have it out to use. I am just trying to find a drying time for it. Lol I can't seem to.
@@Lynniescorner that's a clever idea! I find paper on paper dries pretty fast (5-6 sec if you're holding them down), but of course, shiny papers, felt, sequins and other unusual items may take a bit linger
Thank you very much!! It seems like they are pretty much the same..... I’ve got art glitter glue at the moment so I guess when it come time to replenish it will depend on cost and time of year as art glitter glue freezes!!
You should do a comparison with Reptile Glue. I switched from Art Glitter Glue to Reptile Glue last year and it’s hands down the best! It dries fast, holds tight, flows easily, and a lot more affordable. 😉
I really appreciate your review. I've used the Art Glitter glue and find that the tips do clog. I've got these items in my Amazon cart, so your review came just in time for me. An aside, Tombow glue dries tacky too, but it's a fantastic glue, so that's not a deal breaker for me. Thanks Krisite :)
Great review. I really like that the pin is longer on the Bearly Art glue and the tips are easier to put on. I like that it dries Tacky that would be great for certain techniques. I will continue to use my Art Glitter glue because I don’t think there’s enough of a difference that makes me feel like I have to have it right now but in the future I will definitely be trying it. Thank you again for your review.
Great video, Kristie! I’m still testing and trying to decide. I have sequins on card stock, did the dry clear test, and more. I didn’t test flexibility on paper, but I have noticed it seems more bendy. ☺️ I noticed dry time different because I don’t wait that extra heartbeat with Bearly so it slips sometimes. I think that’s just a learning curve. The Bearly tips are so nice! The fine one is shorter than Art Glitter so when I tried to stick it down between layers it was trickier. Missed a spot. 😂 Thanks for sharing such detail! I haven’t chosen yet, but I’m leaning... 😂
Okay I just ordered this . I love the art glitter glue but I'm old and sometimes it takes me a minute to place things and by then it's too late. The irony here is that I just ordered a huge bottle of art glitter glue so I think I'm going to be in the sticky for at least a year 🤗🥰 I've been wondering about the comparison for the last week now. Thank you so much Kristy for your insight.
I don't think it was mentioned, but I think that the Bearly Art glue can handle lower temperatures making it safer for someone living in colder regions to purchase without worrying about it getting ruined. You had mentioned the tackiness. I have noticed this as well. I personally think this makes it easier to go back with an adhesive eraser to remove the extra glue.
Yes, Bearly Art glue can be frozen and it still works. My cousin lives up in Alaska and ordered a bottle. It was frozen when she received it. She let it thaw and it works great.
TFS your review. The one good thing for us down under is that the Bearly doesn't freeze so if we run out of Art Glitter, the Bearly ships year round...
Yes, that is something I didn’t test. My cousin just ordered a bottle. She lives in Alaska and her glue was frozen solid when it arrived. She let it thaw and it works just fine.
Very interesting. I noticed in one of your recent videos where you used the Bearly glue you did have to hold your palm over whatever it was you were adhering for longer than I usually see you press down with Art glitter glue. The extra long pin is a definite plus but the fact that it still feels tacky the next day really bothers me. Great video and extremely helpful. Thank you.
I used the Art Glitter glue for a long time but after seeing your last video I decided to try the Bearly. I was frustrated with the tip from the Art Glitter suddenly popping off and spilling glue all over my project. I ordered the 2 oz Barely Art and have used it for a week now. I'm going to ordered more Barely Art in the larger size
Art Glitter glue is a great adhesive, but that tip isn’t good at all. I’m still enjoying the Bearly Art glue. Congratulations! You are the random winner to receive a card from me. Please send your mailing information to kristie@kristiemarcotte (dot) com 💖
I found Art Glitter dried too quickly so I switched to Tombow Mono Multi. Unlike yourself, I need a slower dry time to get my layers nice & even 😉 Looks like I now have an alternative to try. Thanks for the great review Kristie ☺️
Thank you! I’ll still use ATG for adhering larger papers. The liquid glue is nice for smaller pieces, embellishments, and also for adhering specialty papers.
Thank you for this Kristie. Thank you for mentioning the "wiggle" room. I struggle with getting things straight and this is why I use liquid glue and not an ATG. Wiggle room is very important to me. I think I will switch to Bearly Art Glue, but am finding it to be a bit more expensive than Art Glitter Glue.
Looks like you could screw the whole black bearly art glue top onto the art glitter glue. I like the idea of the screw on tip versus the awkward to apply art glitter glue tip. Could you test the fit? Are the black tops interchangeable?

I store my bottle with the pin as well and it works fine. Of course, I craft almost every everyday. 😊

I’ve been using reptile glue and really like it. I switched from art glitter glue to it.

Great comparison. Kristie! I'll have to give it a try next time I need glue. I do have a question. What makes you choose liquid over ATG when you do?
Thank you! I’ll still use ATG for adhering larger papers. The liquid glue is nice for smaller pieces, embellishments, and also for adhering specialty papers.
Kristie you're amazing! Thank you for this. :)

The Bearly Art glue cap does fit on the Art Glitter Glue bottle. I agree, the Art Glitter glue tip is very awkward and hard to get on properly.
from watching you pull up the sequins, it looks as though it is the coating on the sequins that peels off rather than the whole sequin...
I did tug pretty hard on the sequins. It may have been just the coating that peeled off. I also didn’t let them dry overnight.
Just an FYI: If you hold the bottle of Art Glitter Glue up to a light, you can see the amount inside.
Great tip! I can “feel” where the glue level is, so that doesn’t bother me. I have a bunch of both glues and will keep using them. 🙂
Great review! Can Bearly Art glue be shipped anytime? I don’t think Art Glitter glue can. Thank you!!
I believe Bearly Art glue can be shipped year round since it still works if it has been frozen.
Great video lots of good information and that bear shape bottle is super cute. Thank you
Thank you. I was indeed wondering. {{{♡}}}
