- In this video I distill some of the incredible lines that Charlie Parker played in his classic 1953 Moose the Mooche Rhythm changes solo and make them in to exercises so you can assimilate "Birds" language.
This Parker tutorial comes from Module 3 of the Jazz duets Rhythm Changes Masterclass.
(That features 21 Distillation tutorials featuring a who´s who of Jazz greats)

My name is Nick Homes. I was, and still am a non genius musician who struggled for many years to find out the secrets of jazz improvisation. Throughout 40 years of playing, and obsessive investigation I have focussed on building systems of learning for my students so they can improve , and reach their learning goals with the highest probability.

Great . Thanks for sharing your studies with us. There's a lot of work behind your lessons
Right on time.
Great lines and ideas to work on and expand. Thank you for all your hard work in pulling this material together.
Thanks! Truth is I loved putting this together!
Thanks a lot, truly I have been looking for this for a while and this is the perfect balance with just the sharp explanations required. And it makes me rediscover Parker who left me a bit frustrated with the melody👏🎷
Wow! I am a 65yo performing musician. Retired educator. Your presentation is just phenomenal. You're not only presenting a ton of useful information, you are bringing Charlie Parker's music to life! I truly am astounded! I've been diving inside jazz a number of years. To see so many concepts jump out at me! You present them in such a way that they are as easy to grasp. You just helped me advance exponentially and unmeasurably in just 7m13sec! MUCH appreciated! Yeah, I get it, we all have Charlie Parker to thank, but I'm not cutting you short in any way. You are simply a marvelous and talented teacher!! Thank you! By the way, do you mind if I share this on my Facebook Pages?
wow! Thanks. These words are truly appreciated!
@@JazzDuets Absolutely! Normally, if I see a YT vid I like, I share it on my FB pages. But I won't unless you agree.
Please continue - You've inspired many to stay focused on what and how to practice- maybe thereby securing their "why"- and that my dear sir, is a worthwhile achievement and an inspiration. BRAVO!
Great work, you are helping me a lot to grow as a professional musician. Thank you so much!! Best regards, from Argentina!

This has got to be the best teaching aid/music vid I have seen . Loving the rolling staff with accent cursor and the typewriter sound effects..... really works ! Plus the talented playing , narration and crossover skills to put a presentation like this together ( must take hours) ,is on another level . It really transmits the musical genius of the subject matter ...... I never listen to this kinda stuff normally ! and it's definitely helping me understand how music works . Thank you Nick , is this the way your courses are put together ? I might be ready for splashing out on one ! ??
thank you!
Thank you Nick, HapPy Easter
Great
This is AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME, Nick! I woke up this morning thinking to myself, "Ho hum, what am I going to practice today?" And now I know: These licks through all the keys! Love your selections and especially how you laid them out. SO-O-O helpful! Thanks!
thank You!
Prez is everywhere. This is nice work Nick. I hope you write your own music - you should!
I like your way to analyze the great sax players. But I like to mention the modern jazz phrasing has noting to do with dotted eights?
Appreciate thank you so much I need more knowledge About Saxophone please send it to me
One question, if I buy the course, will It be a limited time access? I read that it's 4 months course. After 4 months, will the content still be accessible? I'm a full-time worker and have little as one hour a day or two and pretty sure four months is not enough to cover everything.

I teach you how to make that gallon of Hooch Charlie would bring to the studio.
The inclusion of enclosures does not insure the Parker sound. Smh
And no-one said it does ‘insure’ (sic) that sound. Smh
These licks sound nothing like Parker and the strings sound bad behind what’s going on.
"you can never look at the absence of something and feel good.
you cannot look at lack and be in alignment
you cannot criticise and be in alignment with who you are’
you will be happier if you understand this
