Thanks so much Steve, I really enjoyed this video. I am restoring a BJ8 and am looking forward to you adjusting the carbs and bringing the power closer to the factory claimed power. Although, I thought the BJ8 and BJ7 had a little less than 150 hp, but I might be wrong. And thanks so much for all of your videos. You must spend an incredible amount of time on them. It is very appreciated!!

I was handed down my mom's 1967. Austin Healey. It is so much fun to drive and the looks I get. It will be my son's later and he has already said that it will be handed down to his kids. The family Pride and Joy.

Hi Steve for those of us that have a limited knowledge of dynos it would be great if you explained in more depth why and what shows you that things aren’t working properly or indeed are working. You did explain a little in this video but more in-depth would be great. Thanks

"Well, apart from the vibration, how does it feel?"
Drove one of the last when new in 67 and have loved 'em ever since.

my college room mate (1970) had one.... we'd get 5 guys in it with the top up and go to Krispy Kreme donut at 3 am when pulling an all nighter....I always wanted one never had the right circumstances to buy one....now a good one is gold....just found your channel....love it, you have a great taste in old cars except that Landrover....my first car was a Rover 2000 tc... love/hate my first love was any Jag and Citroen SM, driven lots of both never owned one....I always had friends available to talk me out of it ... also had a friend with a 1600 Alpine

Near vertical steering wheel and comfortable position of gear selector makes this a joy to drive.

Had a Mk2 BT7 for about 4 years. Bought it around 1999 for £20K and sold it 4 years later for £25K. Used it year 'round as a daily driver, because it was fun, but it didn't really work out when the kids started popping out. I wonder where it is now, what condition it's in, and what it must be worth?
It was good to have, but there were problems that needed a regular fix. It needed a new windscreen and exhaust every year. It rode so low that I had to carry blocks of wood in the boot to get over speed humps. And it would cook the legs of anyone in the passenger seat.

Greetings from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. I have been binge watching your videos, and am very pleased by your style and all the Brit Vehicles. My first was a 1966 TR4A- total rebuild. Then a 1964 Jaguar XKE-brakes and Carbs. Then Austin Mini..1969(?) Head Gasket. Then Lotus Europa- basically given to me by my girlfriends apartment manager. PO just left it sitting in his parking spot after he moved, so I asked her about it...taking her out for a fancy dinner and drinks..... the car was an electrical nightmare- looked like weed wackers went nuts! Schematic wirning diagrams! on to mechanical-Brit motorcycles BSA 650 Firebird Scrambler-Crankshaft etc. Triumph Bonneville 650. Hey! you must be richy RICH to have all you got.. what is your story?

    Greetings,
I just purchased an 1960 Austin Healey 3000.
I looked all over for the choke. Where is the choke located? I did check underneath the dash. Thanks for your advice.

My first car was a 100/6---bought it for $900 and sold it 3 years later for $700----in the 60's

They were quite inexpensive. I found one for $600 in 1970 but my Dad wouldn’t loan me the last $50 I needed. The blue paint was very chalky, and would rub off on your hands, but electric overdrive!

I have a BJ8 and I would love to see how to fine tune the carbs. U said u would show how to do that in a later video. Which one is it? Thanks for the dyno on the Healey!

A poster I saw for the BJ8 in Seattle years ago acclaimed: "The Last Of The Angry Cars". I think what they meant by that was "Last Of The Great British Sports Cars", because truly it was,

Bought this car new in !966 {honest}. British racing green and with wire wheels. It got a fender bender and I couldn't get the paint to match. I had a Triumph T R 3 for 4 years before, but went to a new 66' Ford ,as Brit parts were too much for me.

Wow, you need a computer and dyno to determine that your carbs are ng?
I had one of these as a teen and mine didn't shake like this one.
Ever heard of basic tune-up routines, like valve adjust and carb balancing?
