I owned 4 Healy's in the 70's, started with a Sprite then moved on to 3 BJ8's....loved them all...never paid more than $2600.00 bucks...sadly the best one I owned I wrapped around a telephone pole, she saved my life, I used the parts to fix up my last one that I sold to buy my first house. I still miss that Healey sound. I now run a 2008 Mini Cooper S that helps bring be back to my youth. A 100K for a Healey...I wish I knew.....F the house : )
A video title in English, with and interview in English and another not. USLESS to those who are not multilingual. Perhaps some subtitles would help.Very familiar with both cars, I was very interested in the video but have no Idea of the overall content. If it is only meant for the multilingual, great video, carry on.
The Stromberg version of the TR6 was never near to produce 127 hp - Carb version producing 104-109 Hp. I owned a TR6pi (injection) producing 125 hp (DIN)
I have always wanted both of these cars, including the Series 1 4.2 liter E-Type Jag. I wound up owning an Austin Healey Sprite, an MGB, a Porsche 944s and now a Nissan 370z sport coupe.
I`ll take the Healey over the Triumph. Have owned both and both have great bullet proof engines. Its the styling on the Healey that captures every ones attention. The Triumph has no visual appeal, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I have a Healey 3000 which was one of the last models made in 1968. Its been restored twice and last year it a full body off restoration with a new motor and everything replaced or overhauled and now painted in Colarado Red with stainless steel spoke wheels. Its two inches higher then the earlier models, and the silencer has been moved to under the rear bumper and a resonator under thee floor board , just to tone down the noise and droning in the car with the hood up.Also the rims are 15x 10 and not the 15x 6. Handling is brilliant with the wider rims
Sounds like a dream. Id love to see it, You should post a video of it on your you tube channel. I was thinking about a Healy too but they were much more expensive than a TR6 so I went with the TR6. I have owned my 6 for 25 years now and am still enjoying it.
Dont know if you will get this, but I have no idea how to upload photos or videos to UA-cam. I have added another car to my which is now a 68 Jaguar 3.8 Mk2. Goes like lighting and very comfortable to drive and a pain in the ass to work on. I take it to Jaguar dealership to service
Yes, nice but an American import. And you should avoid the waterfall, British Leyland cars built in the 1970s rusted and fell to bits at the first shower. Mine only goes out on sunny days.
Where do you keep your car? Close to the Irish sea? After i bought a TR3 in 1969, I bought a Stag, kept it for years, no rust whatsoever. And 4 your information, I lived 200 yards from the Dutch coast. I bought a Fiat 124 sports coupe too in 1976, it rusted while I was sleeping, and went on when I woke up! Stop writing rubbish Sir!
Wwhat is wrong with u tube? I am getting tired of losing money if you can't provide services then close up shop! Stop let pen. Like me waste the little we can afford be wasted.shame on you
Great to hear and see video like this from ourtside N. America for a change. Thanks
I would go for the Triumph. The Triumph has some technical advantages like the rear independent suspension.
Both great cars I would be happy with either. Thumbs up.
You must do your research on Healey's, they should not even be compared to this car, or any Triumph.
instablaster...

Sadly my Dutch is very poor, but I got the idea 🙂 thanks for the video from a TR6 owner in California!

The early PI's had 150 hp - still miss mine:-)
triple webers on mine 🙂
aaah, the music of straight sixes; as an ex-owner of both a TR6 and a Datsun 240Z, there's room in my fantasy collection for both of these!
If one could actually *hear* the engines. All I heard was talking, music, tire noise, wind noise, and a waterfall. And I'd take a Z over both.
@@spikespa5208 GT6 over the Z
Background music sounds like a mix of Taxman and Day Tripper by the Beatles!
Oh God yes!! I knew it was some Beatles mash-up, I was thinking Baby You Can Drive My Car as well hahaha
… yeah sounds like crap … how about the novel idea of just listening to the cars and their engines ….. ?

Mooie test
De Healy is hoger in waarde
De TR 6 moderner
Maar is 21 jaar jonger!
Allebei geweldige sporters
Droomlocatie met droomauto's... Perfect, en goed gepresenteerd!
I want both.

Post a video? I want aware they made in 68, I don't recall ever seeing one for sale on Hemmings. Dual downdraft? Or triple?
I read in a car magazine maybe 25 years ago about a road trip in a Healy 3000. I think they tore the exhaust off at least twice in that trip.
Sadly soon all gas cars will be banned in EU!!!

TAXMAN and I FEEL FINE.
Due molto belle Inglesi
TR6 - the fuel injected version was much better; 150hp.
Tutte due molto belle.
Prefect a '50's AH compared to a 70's TR 6 And the old Big Healey beats the TR6 in all respects.
Really ? How about interior space, comfort and boot space for a start ? And independent suspension ?
and non existent ground clearance on the Healey .
