I was getting a blurry print, hardly any ink after just buying all new cartridges and was on the verge of throwing my printer out. I did a nozzle check and was missing blue several bars completely. I followed your directions, when I removed the part the cartridges sat in, the black hole had all kinds of ink inside. I dabbed it with toilet paper to get ink out, followed your directions on cleaning outside, ran a nozzle check and came back perfect. I thought for sure it was toast. I threw my last canon away, and probably could have fixed it if I had thought to look for your fix on google beforehand. Thank you VERY MUCH!
Thank you for the info and showing how to manually clean the print head. Was able to do it on my Pixma and it solved the issue of smeared lines. Thanks again!!!
Thanks a ton. This saved me from buying a new printer!! Most thorough video I've seen on this topic. Very easy to understand and follow the steps as well. Thanks again!
Thank you so much! Cleaning the printhead with glass cleaner was genius! I bought new ink and my printer was printing horribly, banded streaks, no black … just horrible, cleaned the printhead and good as new. Photos are printing beautifully
My old Pixma MX439 kept getting missing lines on Black only. I cleaned the cartridges, replaced them and kept getting the same result. You showing how to clean the inside of where the cartridge lies was the answer! Thanks!!!!
Thank you so much for this tip. Was thinking I had to buy a new printer and it was as simple as cleaning the head as you showed and now it prints perfect!
my nozzle check was fine but it was streaky. i tried taking out the printer head to clean it and that worked!!! ty!! i was sad cos i just bought new ink and thought i would have to buy a new printer
Thank you! I missed taking off the tab for the air hole when I replaced my Cyan last time. It still printed the color at the top, faded out, and then printed the bottom.
@ctronicsI did exactly what you have shown, in my printer head but the streak in blue and cyan color still persist. What should I do? Should I buy a new print head? Advise.
I did what you said because my photos were coming out terrible. I printed the test and everything looks good except for my blue, nothing is showing up. What can i do to fix this?
Hi, I did all that and my nossel print chec is fine, but the photo still comes out with lines across the black areas. I also cleaned the heads manually watching your other video. So why does the test page come out fine but the photo is still missing lines of black? Any other ideas?
Thanks for your video! Would you have any idea what's going on if the printing is hit and miss? About every other line has a missed area where it didn't print. Sometimes a whole sentence will be missed or sometimes it's just one word? Ink levels are all good and since I watched your video I checked for clogged cartridges and they are all good as well.
Hi. Most likely the printhead is partially clogged. Were you able to print the nozzle pattern? You should be able to see missing color there if any. Otherwise, a cartridge will need replacement.
My black isn't broken into white lines. It has a lighter grey area down the middle. I've changed the ink. I've ran regular cleaning and deep cleaning. It doesn't change. Any suggestions
My mp550 doesent print magenta correctly. I use this printer to print photos and the photos isn't looking good ( the photo is a bit green or cyan) beacuse its not printing magenta correctly. Can you help me please? Should I buy a new printer head?
Do you have another magenta cartridge you can install to check? You may also try taking magenta ink cartridge, turn it over and add a few drops of rubbing alcohol into the ink exit port hole. Keep it turned upside down for 30 seconds, gently shake, and install in printer. You may also want to just clean the bottom of the printhead using a paper towel with windex or other cleaning liquid. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you had any success. Don't rush to buy a new printhead. See a video of our Canon printhead manual cleaning: m.ua-cam.com/video/DFdM9Z6Nnxg/v-deo.html
@@303electronics I cleaned the full printhead a week ago beacuse it wont printed black. I used 70% alcohol but it didn't worked with magenta but worked with black. I think the problem is at the printhead nozzles or idk wich is old. The new ink cartridge set is arrived yesterday and I tried it and no change. The printhead for this printer is not expensive, I think I buy a new one.
God dammit hahahah I've been spending an hour on my Canon Pixma MX922 because the PGBK part was smeared in the middle. Been printing nozzle check pattern, cleaning, deep cleaning, nozzle alignment, wasting ink and paper, did not know you could just yank that shit out!
my nozzle check print only the 1st cyan 1st magenta 1st yellow have horizontal streaks..the 2nd cmy prints just fine no horizontal streaks at all..but when i print the colored really has horizontal streaks..canon ip2770 a new printer
Used a ton of ink nd Tried everything..,still i get the white horizontal lines in pixma G3010.., is there anything else i can do... if so please help me buddies :/
When I had a nozzle check, the colors are fine. But when I print colored pictures, I saw some white horizontal lines. I performed deep cleaning but it won't help. What seems to be the problem?
@@lensav9985 So what I ended up having to do is clean the timing film - then switch the paper setting to Photo paper - glossy and its working amazing!!!
pixma no longer uses these ink cartridges at least not the one i have, it uses a style like there competitors and i refill them manually so these generic cleaning methods don't work
Hey please help me, my printer is printing white horizontal gap, I have run nozzle check, head alignment, the print comes ok no white line gap, but when I print other pages there is almost 5 white horizontal line coming at a gap of 1inch, also I have done deep cleaning, what is the problem can you tell me?? Should I do ink flush
That's my printer! I just thoroughly cleaned the print head; soaking it in alcohol, dabbing with a paper towel, flushing it in the sink with the sprayer, repeat, repeat... Now I have cyan ink again. I still have a problem with random black smudges though, not necessarily in a horizontal line. Like a small splatter. Anyone got any ideas?
Hi. Need some advice. I have cleaned my nozzle heads I have also replaced with new ink. I have done deep cleaning and all cleanings available on the printer. I still have streaks in my prints. 😫 The nozzle check patterns keep coming out the same and keeps telling me that the nozzle is clogged and I have cleaned and cleaned and cleaned and cleaned these nozzles. I have literally done everything that I saw on your video of the videos and I still have a problem I really need some advice on how to fix this or what the problem could be.
What is your printer model? If the nozzles are on the ink cartridge, most likely the ink cartridge is faulty from factory. If your cartridges go inside the printhead, it may be that the printhead is going bad. I know you have tried cleaning a lot. What is your printer model?
Jesus, you put so many unnecessary steps in there, wasting our time. What kind of idiot would start a cleaning program with an ink cartridge that wasn't fully opened?! I came across that A or B option & had no idea what it meant & you didn't explain it before pressing B. Thanks a lot.
A video that claims to show how to fix a serious problem, but then it is just a person demonstrating how to replace ink cartridges, which a 4 year old child could do without a video.

Thank you, the nozzle cleaning fixed it. The machine cleaned it but it didn't do much, but physically cleaning all nozzles worked. Many thanks
I'm glad you got it clewaned and can use the printer again! Thanks for sharing! Have a great weekend!

So I did this and all my inks are over half full and I still have lines :/ what would you recommend
to get rid of the lines you have to select "high" for the quality . Click printer... Then "quality and Media" . and change print quality to high.
Thanks! This helped me get my long dormant printer up and running correctly. Appreciate it!

windex is ok and disstilled water and a few drops of dish soap....just few drops....and let it ry good before re installing.
how bout streaks on my magenta color? imgur.com/Hn3h9iP
