Hey Deepa ♥️ Thank you for making & sharing this documentary. The film sparks deep inter-generational dynamics, family constellation alignment, traditional wisdom of science, economics & management, coexistence with the ecosystem, gender balance & regeneration, cultural accountability and more. Watched it late last night and could feel myself going on pangs of separation from places & people I once knew in villages which have now become towns or vanished to look like Development with dust, tar, noise, rows of industrial farming & everything that can disturb our sensory processing system & ecosystem. The film truly & silently pushes one to go in search of our own roots..what can be saved of it both tangible & intangible!! At the end, it brings us to how our minds have changed in the plight of modernity. When our youth say, the ratio of gain or it will become too peaceful.. it shows how we have pushed ourselves into an abyss of a larger than life paradox.. and our children pursuit that 🌿 I will watch it again to soak myself in what love, happiness, family & belongingness is made of ♥️
Cinematography is brilliant. The controlled movement of the camera, consistently maintaining the pace, provides the calming visual effect. Narration of aspects related to the house and family is easy going and 'comfortably comprehensible'. Overall, a very well made documentary. Deepa and Milind seem to have so much of 'hidden talent'...they are gradually unravelling! Congratulations and best wishes.
Thank you for watching and for your kind words of appreciation, Kannan. We were a great team - director, cinematographer, editor, musicians, lighting... and all our narrators... Thank you.
Great Video production and music by Salil is nice too. Beautiful tall slim betel nut trees. I seen many betel trees interspersed with coconut trees in other places like Karanatka. Its the story of urbanization taking place and people moving away from their ancestral places. Hope you get to spend more time there and connect back to your roots in your second innings. Its going to be tough to maintain the traditional homes by the next generation. Life goes on and change is inevitable I visited my Moms village in Andhra a few months back, huge changes. Sort of similar to how the villages at the approach to BIT main gate changed
Thank you for watching Prem. We love the production value and the original score composed for the music. Thank you for calling it out. Yes, change in inevitable. We wanted to bottle the precious history for our grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Thank you for making this, Deepa kaku and team! I've been there so few times and know so little about the history, but very glad that the memories are enshrined in this film and also your writings. Pranav loved this too.
What a lovely, moving film. My congratulations to the entire team that created it. India has many Vadads and this one spoke to the one in my heart. Well done, Deepa and Milind. Romance is the life blood of art, and why should we not? P.s: Loved the poem! What house would not want to live up to this?
Thank you for watching and connecting with the film, Mahesh. I am so touched that it especially moved you. It is very high praise from someone who is so learned, deep, authentic, and wise.
