- FOX 10's Nicole Krasean has the latest on Vice President Kamala Harris' Phoenix visit as Air Force 2 touched down Thursday afternoon.
She hears from several elected officials who praised the VP for her leadership and inspiration.
Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego, Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes, Secretary of State Adrian Fontes and Rep. Greg Stanton greeted Harris as she came off the plane.
"I think that Kamala Harris matches Arizona perfectly," Mayes said.
"I've known the Vice President for over 20 years," Stanton said. "We were in a leadership development program together. I really respect her, so why wouldn't I be here? Of course."
Mesa Mayor John Giles, a Republican who supports Harris, said, "She's a very inspirational person. A wonderful background story and very impressive. I was, today, very impressed just by how personable she was, how charming she was."

Democrats came up with bipartisan border deals in 2006, 2014, 2018 and 2024. Republicans rejected them all. Republicans don't want to fix the border. They want to complain, rile up their base and campaign on immigration. Trump had his minions kill the latest border deal, because he didn't want Biden/Harris to have another big win before the election. Trump also wanted to campaign on immigration. You've probably heard his, "They are poisoning our blood" Hitler type speeches.
