the ending sounds like those weird musical greeting christmas cards
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhhahahahahaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahalolhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahalmaohahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahalmfaohahahahahahahahahahahahahah. Hah
True ahahah
Omfg yes
That’s so true!
I love him so much
I thought this was actually him with an octave pedal as it's actually the kind of thing he'd do, it was only when I noticed the clip repeating and the sound getting a bit silly I realised it was a joke overdub
so many are having trouble with the idea that this is easy as balls with a little gear hahaha like "ohhh fake!!! no guitar can do that" well, theyre right, but for the entirely wrong reason
Hahaha me too
@@jafrost1328 a whammy pedal could work with an octave pitch
@@Se7enDsinSGaming well yeah there's various approaches to this and similar sounds, I learnt fast there's no one way of doing anything in music
@@jafrost1328 that's what makes covers interesting
how the hell did i get here? I dunno but i'm thankful for the algorithm that led me to these 37 seconds of joy
sounds like something he'd own
I cannot find those notes from my guitar. Not even with whammy...
I just started learning guitar and now UA-cam sends me your memes
I played this on my mic during online class lol
that's genius and thank you for doing it !
Wow Linus Tech Tips can play the guitar pretty well
This sounds pretty dope ngl
You mean he didn't actually do that live? Fooled me.
my dude playing an 87 fret guitar
my dude dropped $80 on a pitch shifter
He has a synth on his guitar, this is possible for him
"Sir, by attaching a mechanical winding system and rigging it to a series of incredibly fine-tuned tension sensors we've invented a guitar that will actually extend its neck as you play down the fret board."
@@bshpev Whenever I read "Sir" in a comment I automatically picture the Fedora Guy meme
Its a whammy pedal
If he did this live I would honestly be okay with that
Same. I'd be cheering even more than usual.
I wouldn't be
@buriedxinblack I don't see his guitar doing this tho lol
Me too
@@ruris189 digitech whammy could get him close minus a couple octaves lol
Shouldve kept going untill only dogs could hear it
He did. Thus the reason you didn’t hear it. 😂
@@bc1301 he didn't say that he couldn't hear it
@@bc1301 ain't no rule says a dog can't post youtube comments
Humanity doesn't deserve Muse, but dogs absolutely do.
@@cactustactics I am indeed a dog man
Now make Matt Bellamy singing Hysteria but he can't stop hyperventilating.
Pin this and do it. Please, I beg you.
Yes please!
You mean refuses to?;-)
yeah I'd also be interested in hearing this one, lol.
Others have tried, and they half failed.....! 😓
But, I'm not about to b*tch..... They got further than I did, so there's that!
Cats woke up. Love him
ily
Hey, it's Rrrrebecca! If anyone ever wonders what musical tension is, just show them this video.
True!
🤣🤣
Lol didn't expect to see you here, I see the algorithm brought us together once again
The funniest thing about this is 'refuses'.
Edwin James Pope nothing can stop him, he’s grown too powerful
REFUSES
*H E D E N I E D*
Matt please stop it's been 4 years come back to us
*N O*
*continues ascending scale*
This comment section has got me laughing for 10 minutes straight
This is the most elite-tier, obscurely specific meme I have ever seen. Bravo
but have you tried ua-cam.com/video/Ey5GItze-BY/v-deo.html
It could honestly be something Matt would do.
I thought it was real until reading the comments...
Whammy pedal into Whammy pedal into Whammy pedal into Whammy pedal into...
@@pankillheure I thought it would be until the pitch started going higher and his hands didn't move in the fretboard.
@@VersedFlame oh my god I can actually play this on guitar and didn't notice the fret board lol
@@arya6085 I guess it's just attention to detail lol. I couldn't play this riff when I wrote that comment, I can now though.
The greatest victory of Google's UA-cam algorithm is finding me this video.

Jesus too lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Aloemancer.... Beautiful... Absolutely Marvellous my kind Sir
Matt should see this and try it sometime.
Except no guitar reaches that high
It's Matt Bellamy.
He'd find a way.
Matt, uh...finds a way.
Guido Rodríguez did someone say whammy pedal
@@guidorodriguez96 octave pedal dude
Why is this my sense of humour now
Yes.
Because it's awesome.
I’m not alone 😂
This is the most Muse thing I’ve ever seen to be fair
When you've watched this many times that you are now focusing on the "ch ch" sound between notes
I hate you, I hadn't noticed that for years
More like "tk tk"
the guitar strumming.
Yeah, at high, REALLY HIGH PITCH, it sounds clear as water
Well I wasn't, but now I am. Thanks for that...
what happens when you plug 3 digitech whammy on the same loop
Jajajaja 😂
a single pitch shifter would be easier to set up
Congrats, you made the best video on the internet
Bass Weapon you should watch more videos
Bassweapon, you're either blind, deaf, stupid or a combination of the three.
Its opinionated, doesn’t mean you should bash him for it. I personally agree.
@@slashholt23 I facepalm in your general direction.
That sarcasm shot through like a bullet!
More music memes please, makes my brain the big brain.
lol
I genuinely clicked thinking he'd actually done this
He would though
he would totally do this it's matt what do you expect
I assumed he hadn’t, although it’s possible.
possible with 10 whammy pedals chained in series
Ah yes, don’t you just love resolving the chord two octaves higher
The iconic PIB kick at 0:34 is awesome. It validates the entire thing
I was there, can confirm this happened totally 100% L E G I T
Same, 100% what happened, (on a serious note I was actually there)
@@Parkskigaming was a great night, showbiz was awesome :)
@@crazyblue501 Yeah, that was a surprise, if in baby was the best though
Where was that?
It's true. I was the guitar.
I was there! Now I can communicate with dolphins
My cat just turned around and glared at me.
This is a high IQ music meme that as a guitar player, I approve of
"High IQ" to know a scale
I am musically irrelevant and I got it, I must have a really high IQ
Matt then yells "woooo, hear that?", throws his guitar on the drum set and runs away.
This is a cursed video
This is a blessed video
This is a blursed video
This is a video
This.
.
In another not to distant reality, Matt Bellamy can play a guitar like that and and preforms this exact scene.
Matt can *actually* play guitar like that. The only thing is that he hasn't perform this :)
anyone can play like that with a pitch shifter or octave pedal. Those arent expensive, difficult to use, new or uncommon and muse has a *very* effects heavy sound. i'd put actual money on him already having done something similar at some point in the last 15 - 20 years of touring
That's how the riff slowly turns into Nyan Cat song.
Sound like a new riff tho
Almost better than the original
I need a complete version of plug in baby like that
with voice and everything
To those who's saying it's fake, I was there at the concert... That intro had so much anticipation building up...
Somebody send this to muse on twitter
The scale keeps ascending and so does my goddamn blood pressure.
Hearing the notes rise, but his hands not going up the fret board is seriously fucking with my head.
Happened to me once at a gig. A 30 second piano solo turned into fifteen minutes of Czerny practice.
Just picture Matt watching this with a huge smile on his face
Matt now tries this with every muse riff, creating the b-side album Hullabaloo 2 Muse-Boogaloo.
He would actually do this given half the chance.
0:12 is where it begins to sound like 90's Roland / Casio / etc keyboard's idea of electric guitar.
This is the most Matt Bellamy thing to do

MY PLUG IN BABY
IN THE BROKEN HEARING REALITIES
y'all joke, but his voice basically does this in the actual song at the end
I would want to see this live. No changes to the bass or drums. No vocal changes. The guitar stays three octaves higher than normal and the fans just stand there dazed and confused.
At first I was like "Yeah this sounds like something Matt would do cause he's crazy like that." and then I realized it wasn't actually him doing it lol
The funniest thing about it was this was the video that got me into Muse

They should do this live. Couple pitch changes and the song will be like an 80's synth pop rock song

I've always preferred the harmonic minor scale over the natural minor scale.
The fact that there are people believing this is real is more funny
I need a full version
Where's the full version

We all know he could sing along at this note too, freakin' alien.
i guess DigiTech needs to step up their game and invent a 4 octaves Whammy now

TheNochamol why does all Muse suddenly sound like baroque music
the toccata and fugue vibes
@@conormackinnon4622 no joke. Listen to the Italian art song Amarilli Mia Bella and listen to the chord progression when it says "Amarilli." Muse definitely took some inspo from that era

Every time this comes up in my recommended (and it has multiple times now), I MUST watch it. This is the peak of humor.
edit: also I'm gonna need Matty and the boys to acknowledge this and actually play it this way sometime. C'mon guys, it's your most-played song. Mix it up a lil!
It would be Matt's natural thing to do, so at first I didn't think that was edited!
really wouldn’t put it past him to actually somehow do this
@🤘🏻🤘🏻🎸🎸🌹
Damn that’s one hell of an octave pedal
When the video finished, I looked to the side to find my dad was playing it on the guitar.
my biggest flex is that he went to my school and learnt how to play there...my music teacher is his music teacher that he had👍🏻👍🏻
So how come you're not a rockstar as well?
My dog lost its sanity.
When your presentation assignment needs to be at least 5 mins long:
The title is misleading. I mean, spoiler alert, but toward the end of the video he eventually relents and stops ascending the harmonic minor scale.
Whenever I hear the actual song at the start I always anticipate the guitar to keep on ascending.
My dog tweaked the fuck out while I was watching this
Once every year, I come back and watch this video.
same here. see ya next year
