Matt Bellamy is a goddamn guitar god and does not receive remotely enough recognition for it. The parts he writes always fit the song perfectly and sound badass. I'm also a guitar player and he's been a massive influence on me. His vocals too-- I sing lead for my band and Bellamy has by far the best voice of anyone that we've tried to cover. I have a big range so I can hit his notes, but singing those notes with as much power as he does is insanely hard!
@@jhmillard99 I think you actually could come up with stuff just as good, you have all the tools with knowing a lot of the phrases and scales that matt uses. A lot of his solos are RATM style solos that play on specific scales and he likes to use contrast between octaves. It's all actually very logical when you break it down. You could so make your own solos just as good as matt bellamy with some practice 👍 Would be fascinating to see it! I'm a guitarist and I know slash stuff or David gilmour stuff so well I can improvise just as good
People like the flashy solos that's all. I can play all the solo from Muse pretty easily but could I come up with it ? Not in a thousand years. Creativity is way harder than the technique. It's just less impressive for the non-creative people. ( Pretty much 90% of people )

Amazing man! Nailed everything, especially New Born and Reapers! My all time fav Muse solo: Exo-Politics. It's not complicated, nor long but it's very melodic, spacey and fits 100%.
