This Mysterio design is just perfect, I think this is one of the most well adapted Super-Villain costumes ever! The armor pieces, the fishbowl, the cape, everything just comes together super nicely.
I strongly agree. I think a big reason for that is there was really no excuse to change his design that much, seeing as it was never meant to be a practical design, it was all for show so the goofiness completely works. The Vulture would've never worked with his classic costume on film, nor would Electro or the Green Goblin, so I'm glad Mysterio pretty much just has his comic costume with more gold parts added over it.
Im Actually in the opposite school of thought: I think this is one of the poorer re-designs from the genius of of the M-SHE-U... What does every character have to have on 90lbs of armor? Mysterio never wore armor.. The bowl is too small--it should extend out to the shoulders.. Then from the figure POV- it barley moves, the armor restricts the torso too much and the material will be a deterioration magnet in 2 years.. There is nothing I even remotely like about this... This was a easy, easy pass for me...
@@mams1701 I get some of your points, yes comic Mysterio never had armor and he usually had a bigger dome, but in the comics they never really presented him as a superhero either, he was meant to look menacing. From his first comic appearance the focus was to make his design unsettling, otherworldly and clearly that of a villain, the film takes a different and arguably smarter approach. A lot of the details of the costume in the film are very clearly meant to reflect that the design was inspired by and meant to recall ideas of other heroes within the world of the MCU, the film directly compares him to Iron Man, Thor and Doctor Strange for a reason, plus it's implied it's battle armor from his universe which also fits how it looks. Liberties have to be taken when adapting any design, and if all they changed with Mysterio was added details to his general look and slightly shrank the dome so we could tell where he was looking that's fine with me, especially compared to how designs for Electro, Lizard, Rhino and the Green Goblin have faired in film compared to their original looks, not to mention how many other MCU villain designs are so devoid of their comic accuracy. I completely get your issues with how the design hinders the figure, but to me that doesn't downgrade the design itself, if anything the neck range limitations are due to the light feature more than the helmet design.
@@tomtudorweaver1078 - see I think that's where the majority my problem comes from the begin with no one stays close enough to their original incarnations to even be remotely recognizable for the most part. Ironman fine he has dozens of sets of armor so I can forgive that. But the original Captain America costume was annoying to even look at and how in the hell is 4 supposed to be fat it is short hair he's always a joke what they've done with these films has basically ruined years of comics and left those of us that grew up with these characters in the 60s and 70s shaking our heads like what the hell are we watching. So it's just natural that's going to carry over to the villains and eventually degrade the figures as well. Thankfully they are companies like so-so toys and toys era that are going back and actually doing the comic accurate versions of these figures. Take a look at the toys era Juggernaut and he's amazing. It just deeply saddens me to see what Disney has done to these great characters is all I suppose for.. 👍
I prefer the little stop motion sections at the end of every video, but if you feel like not doing them and/or want to make a full length stop motion, go ahead man, it's your channel
I've never bought a Hot Toys figure, I was tempted by the film Deadpool figures but this one REALLY tempted me. I love the comic character and he's possibly my favorite MCU villain, I feel they really did him justice (for the most part, he better not actually be dead).
Spot-on Jake likeness! More like a Donnie-Darko-Dad, though lol Edit: on the 🛑 animation? I love the short clips... ...& the extended ones, too. Since both ain't an option, stick with the shorts? They're more expected, you could say.
Idk why you'd want to remove the chest piece! Yeah I get it he took it off in the movie but so what!? Your not gonna display him without the chest piece
well one of the reasons i started watching was because of the fun stop motion tag at the end. but i love your reviews and the death of big time was awesome i would definitely like seeing more of those! also that mysterio is beautiful!!!!! did you ever try that Kiby head on the MCU mysterio? i got Breaker but i cant find my mysterio to try it out
Great vid.. Unfortunately this (along with the rest of the M-SHE-U ) is another really boring re-design.. Longing for the days when movies at least tried to favor the source material.... Easy, easy pass..

Really like this figure, he looks dope. Really like the effects and the Jake Gyllenhaal head sculpt, wish we could’ve gotten one with hasbro
Mysterio was so cool in the movie I'm glad you reviewed the hot toys version

Great review, man. I love the Hot Toys reviews; they’re like window shopping for me.

Been a while. I thought I'd never see your HotToys review again. :') Enjoyed it like always.
I wonder why they don’t wire the side of the capes. Would look so much better up and flowing
Perfect Jake Gyllenhaal Head Sculpt
As somebody who doesn't like the actor you have to admit the figure looks awesome and the actor did a great job portraying the character
Hot Toys Mysterio? What are you, some kind of, "fancy boy?"
Cool figure the head really does look like jake gyllenhaal
Idk why you'd want to remove the chest piece! Yeah I get it he took it off in the movie but so what!? Your not gonna display him without the chest piece
That was another hit of a review and I really think you should do at the end of every review for stop motuon
I don't really care about wether or not stop motion is at the end or it's own video as long as we get it
Debating about canceling my hottoys pennywise figure I pre-ordered to get this guy instead
You're the best I wish I had million toys like you
Mysterio is my favorite Spider-Man villain😁❤️❤️❤️💙💙💙 I’m so glad you got him😁

Early 7:40 AM from Philippines
Sad day when sideshow doesn’t give Kakin TT credit 😞
It's not the fact that their fragile it's the fact that they cost $200-$300
I think every action figure collector wants hot toy figure😁😁
Full length!
We need more hot toys reviews !
Nice review bro love your vids ❤
Cool

Love the videos man
Hey ummm could u do a review of the Batman death knight figure
Man, Mysterio really gaslit two different Spider-Men
Don’t let Taylor Swift see this figure. She’ll write another ten minute song
I did not understand the stop motion today lol
For how expensive these figures are, the seam on the helmet is disappointing. Still a dope figure overall!
Finally, the fishball head review
The eyebrows gotta be bushier lol
Really cool figure. Is it just me or does the packaging look like an Xbox series s 😂
title is wrong, it says ‚No Way Home‘
December 2021 Bad Month For Marvel Legends Big Time Let Down Spider-Man
You said no way home, not far from home, I feel click baited.
The figure is awesome. One question, how is the figure a no way home version if its the far from movie version?
The title of the video is Far From Home, it's wrong on the suggestion list only
@@lfabio.n Oh. Thank you.
