Unfortunately they cause more of a headache than what they achieve. Once you get a slight bit of moisture it gums up the monitor and sets them off when they aren’t blocked. We have had them on before and spent more time cleaning them when there wasn’t a block then them actually telling us there was a block
The seed coating we put on turns it a bright red. The issue is that as we are going at a low rate not much canola comes out during the seed check so that’s what makes it difficult to see
Good to see the tractor working on the bar totally understand about the town water rain water or water from a well always tastes better
Beautiful pups.
You put dirt on new tracks to get silica in the rubber. Acts as a lubricant. Might be able to use kitty litter as well.
Would you just prickle chain before you start your planting to break up the stubble?
Most farmers in my area do this.
have you looked at air reels reduce the cutter bar loss?
Agtron Flow Blockage monitor would save you a lot of trouble Tom.

Seeding through the rock piles Will surely boost the yield for this year...😂😂😂
Have you considered demoing a stripper header on the barley and wheat?
We wouldn’t have any chance of getting through stripper stubble.
Good point' there... You would probably have to change your planter to a disc planter...😊
Just curious. Is there any dye color that could be used to coat the canola seed so there would be a greater contrast between the seed and soil color?
Blue in Canada

@tomsbrookfarm How about a phosphorescent yellow that would be easier to see especially at night with a torch.
what type of bar you thinking of perhaps a seed storm
At the moment the new John Deere bar. A seed master
How many hectares did you gain with out the rock piles?😂
It’s not the hectares gained but the weed breading grounds lost!!
