I believe you can do it better - I understand that I could do it better, and I made many mistakes. You are right - I can agree with you. If I would do it over and over till it's "perfect" (100% percent that still somebody would say that it's still sh*t) - I wouldn't be able to upload to this channel around one hundred game walkthroughs. I always tried on my walkthroughs to do it "perfectly": without saving, mainly on the hardest difficulty, collecting all the collectibles, etc. When I had a little bit of time - I uploaded videos. In the past two years, I didn't upload any videos - I played only for myself. But remember: once a gamer, always a gamer! For some reason when I play games like these, with eight players, quite often a computer-controlled zerg player gets glitched and never get past from creating drones and spend the rest of the game gathering minerals without morphing into anything. I wonder what causes that...
I actually think the photon cannons have lesser health and shields than the pylons. So it'd actually be logical to take the cannons out first. Attacking the pylons just gives the cannons free pot-shots
@@GreyOverlord74 Battlecruisers can sometimes get a free pass when using the Yamato gun on the pylons, depending on where the cannons are placed around it.
There are a couple of issues here that show why this (weak) camp worked: 1. The 12 base has the narrowest choke on the map (3 pylons wide). This allows you to funnel those units in nice and tight, then you can wipe them up with Psi Storm (Which I did not see!!!). 2. There was a glitch or something going on with the Terrans, as they did not siege. They should have, at which point you would have been cleaned up. Also, your cannon/pylon placement was extremely sloppy. And lastly, WHERE WAS YOUR ARBITER???!!!
I'm not sure, but when I played BGH, all chokes on all beginning base can be blocked by exactly 1 Supply depot and 1 Barrack, which translate to roughly 1-2 Pylon and 1 Gateway. But the rest of your point still stand as Terran AI never siege their Tanks in this video when they happily did so whenever I played Z or P, resulting in defense line collapse.
37:00 One way to avoid carriers being hit is by cloaking them with arbiters. Just keep the distance and the computer will focus in the interceptors instead of the carriers themselves.
i used 1 full carrier group with 1 full support group of 2 observers, 2 arbiters and 8 corsairs/scouts. corsairs are pretty useful as they r fast and effecient vs scourge.
clicking burrow and how slow everything is makes me cringe, nevertheless, still a good tactical move to fight off 7 NPC armies. This reminds me of a similar game in the UMS game called 5v3 Upgrade 255 or something with a slightly modified BGH map and the trick was to hold off the attack as much as possible until your lings are upgraded high enough to withstand damage. Sunkens/Spores were like 5k HP but did standard dmg, was a long stand off but very rewarding to beat the game!!
Has to be a customed map or something. When I would play they would come at me with an army all at once. They come to you with some soldiers and that's it
Well, thats easy way to do that. i managed to win vs 7 random computers with 3 races on this map. Anyways now im having the time of my life with some friends where we compete with each other against some AIs from a program Called Bwai and i have downloaded most of the Ais (i have more than the usual program gives and its Super awsome!) Playing against them on 1 on 1 if u play passive u will probably die if u just hold back because its an Ai. But real challenge is to play vs 1 of the strongest there is (Xterran) Ai vs Toss (you) or playing against 2 random AIs because a good player can beat one but 2 is VERY close :) try it out guys
man i miss playing this game so much as a kid. to bad my parents threw away all the disc to the game because they didnt like the idea of conquring and killing people.
I miss playing this game also. My uncle threw away this game long ago, so my plan is to get a new one off Amazon with a legit CD key to get into Battle.Net :)
+Negative Guy I would go with the battle chest which is on Amazon for 20 bucks and comes which comes with some crappy strategy guides and the expansion. Plus the box art is sweet.
A drop on the worker line would utterly destroy their economy. IMO, the important part is to not let them evolve to carriers, bcruisers, nukes etc,iit gets annoying then lol.
The initial attacks seemed weaker than I expected. Usually on multiplayer AI, the computer would attack with around 8 zealots or equivalent marines (with medics and firebats). Zerg attacks would be slightly later and larger. Usually they would take out more than a couple pylons. Of course since he chooses not to expand, he can just build a huge wall.
That's not a difficulty setting. That's a bug that was never fixed. There is only one difficulty setting on Melee, but it randomly does different build orders. The bug has nothing to do with which build order it chooses to run. The Zerg AI does it the most often and literally does nothing. The Terran and Protoss AI at least make a few units, bunkers/cannons.
Why don't all the zerg immediately rush you with zerglings before you're even able to build a single cannon? To me this happens every time. Are they on easy mode or something?
Your best strategy against Protoss is to go after the Pylons. They have less HP than cannons and once they're down, the cannons stop firing. All buildings supported by the Pylon shut down as well. Shutting down the Protoss is as easy as taking out all their Pylons, their Nexus, and all their drones. Your best strategy against the Terrans is taking out their supply depots. Your best strategy against the Zerg is to just run.
@@sealessdolphin Yeah, you could but, if the Zerg player is worth their salt, they'll spread out their overloards so you'll have to look for them. Sending them all to the same spot only makes them easy pickings.

SC1 right click on interceptors and they que on their own when needed... or am i getting confused with a different version of SC? I remember massive battles being fought on this map. a looooooooong time ago!!
The only unit I could ever win with was the Terran. If I tried to use protoss I would always die fast. They build too slow for me to build up a solid defense, and it would take me too long to get a fleet of carriers because I was spending all my money on rebuilding the defense. With Zerg I would just get wrecked...IDK, maybe I'm just not good with either of those. But I would fuck up everything with Terrans.
Amateur. You can kill one and take two expands simultaneously at the beginning from the 12 oclock position, then the rest of the game is easy. Use a Gateway in the shared choke and cannon behind it while cannon rushing the one at 11 oclock. Then two Nexi and hit 80 probes pronto.
why not 5 stargates and upgrades? Also you don't need to micromanage the fighting, just click once on an enemy base and they will all die, you might take more damage but you can make carrier very fast with 5 stargates and enough peon to mine fast
Terrans often go with Siege Tanks on the second attack rush... Weird that none of the Terrans did it during the beginning of the game. actually this video is a bit disappointing.
The AIs are very random in Brood war, sometime you get a game where all 7 computer went all out, sometime - actually most of the time - there will be 1 or 2 AIs that turtle'd their bases and do nothing whole game like a Bronze league player. Or in case of Zerg - do nothing whole game. Actually Terran AI guarantee to get Siege Tanks on the 3rd attack wave, whether they'll have them in the 2nd is random. Sometime the 1st attack wave may not even have Medic! but 2nd it's guarantee to have some. Another issue is that; if human player played as Terran, Terran AI Will Never Siege their Tanks to shell your blockades even if that'll bust down your Supply Depots blocking their units while still safe from your Siege Tanks! But if you played against AI in multiplayer game and one of human player is Not Terran, then the Terran AI Will Happily Siege their Tanks to shell the Terran player. Weird isn't it?
1 vs 7 CPU: Focus on taking out the Terran first. Their late game unit are annoying af. And also you only need to destroy their cc/ nexus to cripple them economically then switch to another CPU. It will be much quicker and easier than allowing them to tech to late game unit.
Why does the computer send out a never ending wave of units after just 5 minutes? Even when playing against 1 computer, they send out a lot. The average person trying out these maps would get discouraged and never play again, seems kind of annoying having to create a choke point every time
This block-in technique is the only way anyone can beat 7 comps. I play 1 vs 7 comps all the time and it's very hard. I win some of the time, but I've never seen an easier 7 comps than in this video right here. These comps sucked! LOL

+CoTeCiOtm that was the problem with the A.I. at the times. too many cpus was hard on the game and so it fucked up.
CoTeCiOtm maybe because the area is too small or not enough space it's mostly zerg units that are like that when they spawn at that point

pylons are quite tough (3 times more hp)
and very fast to build
so in many cases it is pointless to hit pylons instead of cannons

Another Tip; you should upgrade the ground weapons, armors, shields also air ones to make your defenses tight and troops strong :I
The only thing on the ground to upgrade would be shields for protoss is the issue, the rest doesn't do anything if he doesn't have any ground units
That infinite mineral, no siege mode, no zergling rush, lock down, psi storm really bothered me

This was my favorite tactic with protos too. Mass Carrier with 1-2 Observer and it is only a matter of time before you win.

When I do this,I just encounter siege tanks 6 minutes into the game...this person is way too luck
The only thing about this is having some of the CPUs on the easiest difficulty randomly. They literally don't do anything but mine minerals.

Probably could have used a shield battery at the entrance of your base. It hurts me seeing those carriers there with depleted shields.

Those Carriers in your base should be accompanied with an Arbiter so that they will be cloaked.

No scourges, block and storms from enemy? they always give me problems with my carrier army
use shield batteries for the carriers. VERY useful

I never let the bots reach late game bcz that's were they mass produce high templars & ghosts which is a pain in the ass if your using carrier strat
