Silvius Leopold Weiss Sonata D minor 2 5.Sarabande 6.Minuets 1-2 7.Gigue SL Weiss on 11 Strings by Paul Berget. All rights reserved. From http:\\www.magnatune.com
I'm sorry I have to correct you: I quote from Paul himself: " I have recorded this on an 11 string classical guitar tuned exactly as an 11 course baroque lute. All the nuances of the composer's intentions have been preserved."
Actually this sonata uses all 13 courses so it's little castrating to play it even on 11 courses lute and not mentioning the guitar that does not have octaves in lower courses (the basses are very shallow here). Any guitar performance is like a distant shadow of the original.
素晴らしい音色❤
Thank you for this, best version I can find on UA-cam.
Must be the Endekagut! Lol
Wonderful Music, wonderful played
Might I also add, that the playing in the second Gigue was wonderful.
@SaharaForce Thank you.

Bach and Weiss knew eachother.
@Lukecash12 It is, the guy's website says he plays a modernized renaissance lute. Other guy is likely wrong.
Esta vez aprecio el sonido de la guitarra casi más que el laúd barroco.
Might I ask what manner of instrument was used in this recording? It sounds like it might be a lute.
@Lukecash12 11-string guitar
