I watched a different video, of the healing process after upper and lower Blepharoplasty surgery. Of course early days will have swelling and redness but I was shocked at how sloppy the surgery was. They tried to hide the stitch line in the lid crease but it wasn't very precise and the right eye was different than the left eye, not symmetrical at all. The undereye stitching was not hidden but about 1/4" below the lash line. It did look better over time but if it doesn't heal to invisible you won't have a bag but you will have a scar, as well as slightly wonky eyelids. After seeing this video of doing things the right way, made me realize you need to go to a specialist, a good Ophthalmic Plastic Surgeon not a general Plastic Surgeon!

The first step to get excellent results in lower (and upper) lid blepharoplasty is to see an Ophthalmologist with Fellowsip in Ophthalmic Plastic (Oculoplastic) Surgery. Results in the hands of General Plastic Surgeons are not as good nor as natural as the blepharoplasty performed by Ophtalmic Plastic Surgeons.

I had a skin pinch a couple of years ago, in fact you and I had a consultation on Skype about my issues. Blunt outer canthal on both eyes and I have never been the same since.

I inquired with a surgeon about bilateral lower lid blepharoplasty. She told me does not make the incision below the eye, she cuts a lateral incision on the outer corner of the eye. Have you heard of this approach?

I had a lower lid blepharoplasty done and I couldn't be happier. I had the transconjunctival blepharoplasty done. I have a small pooch, but believe me. I DON'T CARE! A small naturally looking pooch is so much better than what I was having removed... I'm 68 so I don't expect to have nothing below my eyes, right? but big bulging bags I had to draw a line there.
I did not wish to risk ectropion. Simply put.
I was told by my surgeon that the upper may need re-doing but the lower is forever. The fat does not surge forward anymore. I was glad to learn that as my bags were 'bags' and when flying I needed to list them in order to get on the plane! for god's sake. .. so you can see that getting this surgery may save you additionally as well,!
8-months post surgery and I am still feeling my face and rejoicing in the fact that I feel no skin or lumps under my eyes. Like my surgeon told me; He told me this. "You will not look younger, but you will look BETTER". And it is true! I look better, but SO much better. I would argue that I look younger. I do not feel I look younger, but H**l, do I look BETTER! I look wonderful. I'd do it all in a minute. No regrets.
Just take care of the rest of you. Go for walks, exercise. Ride bikes. Eat well. STOP eating carbs and especially those nasty packaged cakes from vending machines. Eat more vegetables and get your SLEEP!!! OMG!!!! Drink lots of water. Make sure you are hydrated. When you feel better life is more promising.

Same here. Best decision ever. Safest cosmetic surgery, too. Hesitated about other rejuvenating procedures, but not this one.

how long does the surgery "last" until you start getting puffy bags under your eyes again, do you know? i'd love to get this surgery done, but i don't know much about this surgery and haven't finished this video yet. just wondering if, financially, it's worth it for me.
What can be done for a little hollowing on the under eye medially and lateral eye? I just want to tighten up the skin and get back that smooth lower eye cheek junction.

I believe that procedure does exist and is called an upper bletheroplasty. I hope that's helpful.
