These brands would work for bigger and taller men. Another good, super affordable option is Old Navy, which look like they have longer line tees, perfect for taller guys.
@@gentwithin you may want to make a review on True Classic as well. Their tees are very soft (I just got one, but quite loose). They seem to work better for bigger guys.
How would you say the uniqlo shirt holds up? Did it shrink much after a few washes? The length looks perfect I'm about 145/ 5ft 9in, and workout some. Would you say I go for a XS or S?
Pico for $10, they hold up extremely well. There wasn't any noticeable shrinkage, but since they fit perfectly off-the-rack, I never dry these shirts. Just wash and hang dry. If you're 5'9" I'd say size S would be best.
how do the new old navy V-necks compare to the uniqlo? I have a bunch of them and they are a decent fit and look similar to the uniqlo, but I got a size too large. Wondering if you ever tried them on?
@@gentwithin right about that. The ones I have are very long. I think i will order a uniqlo shirt and try it. I am 144 and 5'7 I don,t want my slight gut to show when I am relaxed. Do you think a small would be good for me?
The most difficult thing for me when it comes to t-shirts is the fit. I'm 6' 1" tall so many of the options for me is having to get xl or 2xl which all fit like tents. I have big arms and chest and I don't like baggy t shirts up top. But the toughest thing of all is finding one that won't shrink up, even blends, even though I air dry to minimize shrinking the shrink up now so after a few washes your midriff is showing, which is not a good look for me of any man.
have you tried the uniqlo supima cotton tees? if so, how do they fit? looked into mott & bow or asket? asket has long sizes and m&b fit relatively long. I'm doing a basic tee comparison between those 2 soon
Those Express stretch tees are great. Sooo much stretch. I highly recommend UNIQLO. I think you'll like them too, plus they're more than half the price.
My best fitting tshirt got to be under armor, the fabric is amazing, and the lose fit is for me one the best visual illusion shirt that makes you feel look fit
Do Uniqlo shirts shrink? Would I be fine getting a size M (I'm 6'0") and not have to worry about shrinkage? And do they decently wrap around the biceps?
they might shrink a little bit if you repeatedly wash and dry on high heat. but it shouldnt shrink too much. I'm not that buff and they wrap around my biceps..more so when I've been working out. I think M could work for you, but not 100% on that
Just ordered 6 Supima cotton t-shirts in various styles+colours (+7 pairs of socks, both regular long length and low-cut aka no-show socks, don't have any no show socks yet). From Uniqlo, that is. Excited. should be good stuff. Hope they fit me well. XXL Size. I'm 6'1'' and a big man. Not a fan of the AIRism ones, too flexible+thin+not very hard wearing. But hoping the supima ones stay good longer. more solid.
LucidCode haven't heard of 'em. Will check em out. Love a good bamboo blend. But what I dislike is the whole wear it as a t-shirt or undershirt. I'd rather keep my undershirt an undershirt and tee a tee.
small or medium depending on the type of fit you prefer. small will be pretty snug, medium willl give you some room. maybe visit the store and try them on?
Just curious if it was a typo cause I’m trying to get the rite size cause like I said we look the same size . I’m 510 155lbsand I fill out large slim fit shirts most of the time depending on the cut
no prob! and no idea...i'd say with your height and weight, you could at least be rocking mediums. depends how you like your fit. I'm 5'6", 135-ish btw.
My birthday is coming up and with the money I'm planning to buy the Uniqlo and the express shirts. If they look just as good as you presented them. I will most likely be a life time buyer
Might have to try Uniqlo. I bought all my plain t shirts from J Crew. The “broken-in” ones, they were perfect. But since T-shirt’s are pretty much all I wear, I went through them fast. Now I’m just tired of dropping $25 for a shirt.
Uniqlo is worth checking out. The only people who have issues w/Uniqlo are taller guys i've noticed as the shirts are cropped too short for them, esp after potential shrinking in a dry cycle. $25 isn't terrible for a shirt, but 10 is much easier pill to swallow. It's just a tee after all.
Look for brands with a tall option. I think Banana Republic has them. And Express shirts are longer than others like Uniqlo. Also, look into Asket and Mott & Bow as well.
ideally a small, short. small for most brands are way too long. ultimately it depends on how you like your shirts to fit. sometimes i prefer a more snug fit.
Poly cotton sucks. It's like wearing a plastic bag and the fabric looks like crap after a few washes. It's also way too tight on you. The Sharp shirt also looked too tight and long.
Agree with your selections. They look good and the fit is spot on!
Right on! Thanks for tuning in Robert!
Would these shirts still work for bigger and taller men?
Or would you recommend other brands?

If you get the sleeves hemmed, it makes you look more muscular even if you stay the same shape.
