After finishing this season, I was so saddened and depressed. This show(NO SPOILER) will leave you emotionally hurt, and wanting more...pretty much you'll throw your hands up in the air and say, "That's it?" Then shortly after, you'll realize, that's really it...such a good story in this show. Character development for Tatsumi, becoming a man and stepping up to the plate when it mattered the most. I love that dude, Shelle too, and Leone. Such a good show. I could go on about this show for several paragraphs, but I'll just say, if you haven't watched this show, just watch it and don't read the comments until you finished the show. Be sure to have another show ready to watch once you finish this one so you won't be looking around to find another show to match this level of entertainment because you simply won't. If I were you, after you finish this show, if you enjoy the imperial times, watch "Code Geass"(pronounced gee-ahss) 2 seasons. Great story. Perfect pacing. You will not be disappointed.

Do you know the reason why this anime is such a hit and disappointment in the first place? It had the potential, but Whitefox messed it all up. This show used to be my favourite but the more show I watch I just realise how terrible this show is. The front 1-8 episodes are great. Fresh setting, concept, theme but later it turned out just another regular shounen show, just... crap. Watch the manga, it's totally different series with the same name, way more darker and serious than the show.
and i cry again because almost all the characters died... this anime detroyed me
I have an advice for everyone watching anime. NEVER go to the comments section in ending/opening videos if you want to avoid spoilers.

the anime is shit compared to the manga. it's basically an entirely different series. that's why even though akame ga kill is the first to be released in it's series, it will never get another anime adaptation despite having a completed prequel and an ongoing (I think) sequel. they just changed EVERYTHING

I still can't belive this show is over. This show couldve went for 6 more episodes. I wish this ending theme was the same ending theme for the entire season. This ending theme is perfect for a show like Akame Ga Kill. If you haven't seen this show, no spoiler, Akame Ga Kill will leave you hurt and wanting more at the same time.

I felt completely empty when I finished this. I just felt done, I can’t even exactly describe the feeling... but it was just pure sadness. I cried from start to end, especially the last few episodes, I cried for 3 hours straight. I couldn’t even sleep right away because it was still running through my mind. But it’s an amazing story, and I’m glad I watched it

Ppl complain this anime is nothing but violent fight scenes. But in my opinion it is kinda realistic. As someone that are rebelling against dangerous authority, so much sacrifices are needed for it to happen. If you just look back at our own history.

Read the Manga because They missed out on alot of character development and spammed death way too quickly,the anime skipped a lot of stuff that was in the manga, because the chapters come out so slowly. You should definitely go read the manga and the manga is significantly darker than the anime.
