Basically the only tv shows my two year old watches are the leap frog shows on netflix, Ethan the dump truck, and the magic school bus. He has a leapfrog laptop toy and a leapfrog letter magnet toy and those alone basically have taught him all his letters and letter sounds as soon as he learned to speak in short sentences 🤯 he'll be 2.5 next week! The leap frog letter magnet toy goes through all of the letter sounds (more than the show but using the same type of jingle) but for upper case only. It also supports motor skills because it is a manipulative toy. He loves going over letters with me because of those toys, so it's all still play for him when I teach him lower case letters by myself. He knows all of those except the tricky ones (b, d, p, q) which I'm not even pushing at this point except when he asks "what's this?" It's truly amazing how easy it is to "teach" when a child is very interested in a topic.
Love the video! Yes Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons is awesome but your very right it's not "fun". I just had my book spiral bound after it being a used book from my brothers and now using it for kid #3 in our family it needed the new bind! Will definitely check out TGATB their books look amazing!
Great video! We're using TGTB Pre-K this year too and are enjoying it so far. Thanks so much for all the tips and book recommendations!
It’s such a sweet program!

Ooh! What a good idea! I may need to go get it spiral bound! My 9 year old is dyslexic and it didn’t work well for him, but it did help.
