3 months in Usk detention center in 1985 - short sharp shock, worked in the concrete shop making concrete blocks- all prisoners were 17yo-20yo lads. Keith Allen (actor) did time here as well.
same here 3 month usk detention 1978 put in the kitchen some officers ok a load where tossers yes sir no sir i got a kick up the arse with in 5 mins for not saying sir when asked me whats my name i told him but forgot to say sir so he booted me and shouting at me to call him sir was a eye opener inside glad when i got out shit hole now its for sex offenders ect
Very nice man I’d say, I would do HMP Cardiff but have had an unpleasant scary experience for public filming in Cardiff today so won’t be going back, especially after what happened to a young man in Newport from boys in Cardiff
It's called prescoed Down a massive lane. Iv been there myself. But this prison "USK" is for offenders such as sex offenders and people that need protection that won't handle life in a real prison
@@TheGwentAuditorTGA you can actually walk around the playing fields of Prescoed. And security at front gate is so relaxed if a prisoner walks out the gate they don't even chase you. You just get picked up in the lane by the popo and taken back to closed conditions
@@TheGwentAuditorTGA the other one use to be a borstel and this one use to be the det centre short sharp shock up to 6 month where as the borstel you would get longer amount of jail time depending i did three month back in the 70s i was 17 at the time and it was a right eye opener they was right in calling it short sharp shock proper strict in there and prison officers had to be called sir or look out lol i never went to jail again work for me liked my freedom in my younger days

I’ve never had dealings with any prison staff, it’s sounds like you have to know the officer was such a rarity. What did you base your opinion on.

There's a 2nd prison in usk, over the other side of the river, im pretty sure its an open prison.
