NIce Drive through Missouri my friend, I have been watching your videos since Part 1 when you started your long drive back in New York City. I am watching now in Part 5 From HIghland, Illinois to Lawrence, Kansas. Very Exciting!!
Just found this series you had been doing and checking out this part after checking out the first part where you were going thru NJ and PA. Had to check out this part through the heartland and noticed that the I=70 between St. Louis and K.C. seemed a little less hectic than I-80 would be if you went west of the Chicagoland area going towards Davenport, Des Moines and Omaha which traffic does get a little crazier around Des Moines on 80 but I suppose that might be an longer way around going towards LA. @3:56:51 had seen the turnoffs that connect I-35 going north towards Des Moines and on up to the Minneapolis/St.Paul areas and I-29 went to St.Joe and then on towards Omaha/ Council Bluffs, then towards Sioux Falls SD and Fargo ND. Also spotted an billboard on your left after you got into Kansas @ 4:10:48 hat had an 89 cent fountain drink specials from an convenience store called Casey’s which are all over in Iowa, Missouri Kansas and few other surrounding states and do have some good pizza there. From all your NYC walking videos that showed all those 99 cent pizza slices, surprised that those places didn’t catch on in the rest of the country including around my area as well. 😊😂
27:17 Nice views and drive through the Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge! 😍 The drive was fairly smooth, and you've made it through Day. 👍 Thank you for sharing this relaxing drive, AK! 🤗
In my opinion you produce the best M.K videos! Your movement speed corresponds to the natural speed of a tourist's walk. In addition, your gaze, what you are filming is quite relevant, deserved to be captured as a priority. Finally your audio comments (on things and people) are very appropriate, very measured and full of common sense. A small gripe though if you allow it. You film your technical setbacks for too long. Overall your work is excellent! Best wishes. Peter M.
I agree! Actionkid it's always my first choice for relaxing entertaining walking videos. Through him I got introduced to some others and of course there's thousands, to me he's the best 👍
Wow AK. You have the series in parts I don't know if people realize this was only day two of your road trip only stopped once on the east side of Ohio and drove all the way to Kansas that was about 12 or 13 hours driving that day. I bet Hampton inn felt really good when you got there. This series is really incredible enjoying every bit of it
25:15 Great seeing the famous St. Louis Arch! What you may not know is I-70 used to cross the Mississippi River on a bridge that would get you closer to downtown St. Louis so you would get a fantastic view of the Arch.
10:44 Houston metro has a suburb called Missouri City. It is called the "Show-Me City". I don't know they do these things. There's a Texas City about a half hour south of Houston proper as well.
I love these driving videos. Discovered your channel a bit ago through one of your Miami > Key West vids, then watched the Miami > NYC journey. Loved it. Wondered if you'd do a cross-country series (even asked you in one of your vids, which you did reply to) and now here I am enjoying this cross country trip! Absolutely loving it! Thought it was neat to sometimes see St Louis (and the Arc) peak over a hill in the distance. Sounds like something happened with the mic some time after New Florence. Could hear the vehicle and other sounds, but couldn't hear what you were saying. Either way, I'm sooo looking forward to the rest of this journey. Great work, and keep the videos coming!
Metro St. Louis is much bigger than many visitors expect. The borders of the actual city proper of St. Louis were frozen in the 1880’s, so the core city couldn’t expand or annex nearby areas. That means that the vast majority of the area’s growth and development has been in St. Louis county and the surrounding suburbs. Today, there are more than 90 suburbs and municipalities and nearly 3 million people in metro St. Louis.
Fantastic thank you, pity the voice mic seemed to have slipped off somewhere on the drive? And what about the truck which seemed to have a tree attached to the hood at 2:41?
I meant, that you had to drive through lots & lots of states to get to L.A.. I know you uploaded all the videos months & months ago but I'm not finished watching them yet. I am going to keep watching it from Part 5 all the way to the end. Good Luck!!
3:55:05 car on right has its tag/registration plate a bit loosened but it could get blown away anytime soon. But hopefully it would stay on regardless of the sticker though partly seem to get scaled off. Pretty nice place here in Kansas and the sunset too! Oh is it Day 2 already?
To bad ActionKid did not stop in Chicago on his trip from NY to LA. But I'm looking forward to watching his video from NY to LA. I myself would like to take a trip from NY to LA or LA to NY but I personally would like to stop in Chicago to see the top 3 biggest cities in the USA hopefully someday that is.
The first half hour is where I lived most of my life. Didn't have time to really watch it as I'm 75 and preparing for chemo for incurable liver cancer. That's mainly from growing up down the street from Monsanto's chemical plant in Sauget Illinois in East St Louis Illinois. East St Louis Illinois is now ranked as the sixth most dangerous city in the world. Welcome to the United States of America.
The wife and I use to take our service dog to the Highland Rest Area occasionally. He died last Thanksgiving from an aggressive cancer. He use to lick the snow from the geo-engineering from Scott Air Base. Whatever toxic chemical it was sure must have tasted good. Banfield Veterinary hospital also contributed to his untimely death
Everyone underestimates the size of st.louis metro. Its pretty large and disproportionate compared to the downtown. If you took 64 you would see the clayton skyline a suburban downtown area, BJC skyline and all of the buildings that line the highway through chesterfield.
enjoying your road trip your lucky to live in a country where its still a pleasure to drive . gas in Europe around 10 dollars most countries in Europe are all toll on interstates example around 30 dollars for 200 miles lots of European cities charge a fee to enter example London around 15 dollars a day ! to enter
I think I just realized something AK. I thought it was strange that after St Louis I did not hear you anymore narrating but I could hear you talking faintly in the background I heard car noise like the road noise and I think I could hear you talking but it was very faint. Did not hear anything as you were approaching and going through Kansas City but after you got to Kansas I could barely hear you could not make out what you were saying. I thought you were just tired and not talking much
I apologize in advance if someone has offered up this idea but, it would be so cool if you could figure out how to have a real time map of your location showing up in the corner as you’re driving. 🙂
As European, watching those American left lane hogs that appear quite often during your trip is infuriating. I noticed you did this a couple time yourself. Please, use left lane just for passing others and try to stay as on the right as you can to make the driving experience better.
I put these on as I'm doing my housework just to see how the drive is (because I've never done it all at once) and then I go back and re-watch the more interesting parts 🛣️ 🌳 🏞️
Thank you very much for this video! I had a great time driving along with you through Kansas! Greetings from Slovakia, central Europe. :)

The best route to Los Angeles is going from NYC to Colorado...then from there to Los Angeles! I did it once in 2009.
That's awesome!
Lawrence is a great town! Home to one of the best universities in the country! Wish you got to explore Lawrence more.
45:53 The bridge you've just crossed over the Missouri River is the Blanchette Memorial Bridge, a pair of twin cantilevers.

It was a nice day in Kansas, and I hope the sticker stayed on!
Nice drive ActionKid. I like Hamptpn Inns also. I usually try to stay at them when I'm traveling. I like the fact that it includes breakfast.
You're welcome! I really enjoyed Hampton Inn too
Lawrence Service Area. I've not seen this before, a service area in the middle of the interstate between Kansas City and Lawrence.
very nice the scnerery was diferent b ut nice loved it ty

I've taken a trip to Chicago before and really enjoyed it! I considered going there on this trip but it was out of the way.
Very nice high Angeles beautiful
I know that these videos From coast to coast you had pass a couple of states to get to Los ANgeles, After the due dates I still watching your videos.
I love You thanks for your vídeos

Just wondering…are you planning on returning to NYC. Miss you.
Yep!

Parabéns 👏 maravilhoso vídeo,nós faz viajar junto com você 👏
Good ❤
Did you use 4K or 720 resolution for this? and wow, I hope u drove with a Tesla and activated the autonomous function.

He obviously knocked it off when he went for gas around the 1:35:00 mark.
10:42 just like how the city of Washington is nowhere near the state of Washington! 😄✌️. Or how the city of Vancouver is not on Vancouver Island!
Kansas City is on the river Kansas though, so that must be how it gets its name.
I apologize in advance if someone has offered up this idea but, it would be so cool if you could figure out how to have a real time map of your location showing up in the corner as you’re driving. 🙂
I've considered it, but it might be distracting to some viewers and would require a lot more work to put in.
I-70 crosses the Missouri three times.

Don't come to America then 🙄
@@danielward7008 There are many other good things in America that make it well worth to visit.
@@benduncan4027 Stop whingeing then.
Did capturing your drive across the country on video while narrarating your trip help to keep you stay alert?
I'm sure it did!

Saint Louis is very lopsided. The west side is very developed but not much development on the east side. Looks pretty rural even close to the city.
St Louis starts West of the Mississippi. Anywhere East isn't St Louis.
Hi
Very long drive rn.
Kind of boring to be honest.
I don't think so, the scenery is beautiful. If you are in a good frame of mind, you may learn the fun part of driving coast to coast. 🚗
😴💤😴 great to put on when you are trying to sleep with insomnia 💤💤💤
@@nicoletanis3703 it is a lot though and I think that is what he means 💤💤💤
Thanks for your input@@lifeandlovewithmaltese
I can understand why you think it's boring
