In the late '70's, when I first started watching cricket - turning into a 40 year obsession - keeping wicket was an art that demanded the best behind the stumps, even if they batted down at 8, sometimes 9...Love Smith, would still have him in as a bat, at 6, Annnnnnnnd!...Foakes should still be in the squad, at 8. That way, no missed stumpings, AND DRS will be more consistent, i.e. 'right'. 😊
Glad you spoke about Womens game. It has been said(by women in a podcast) that male coaches have been not forthright enough when its needed and treating women too 'softly' since Robinson.

Toss, pitch, pollution... really. Everything was fine till it isn't. Eng are flat track bullies and can't play any spin, leave alone quality spin. Spinners took some time but came to fore ultimately. Pak got the secret formula, took risk call it a gamble and gonna win this.
