What a great find. I'm so jealous 😊. That black shark eye and plum colored mussel are very special finds. I'm going to go on your etsy page and see what I can get to add to my Florida shells. Thanks for taking me with y'all. Love to everyone 💕 ❤️ 💗 💓 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊 0:01
Oh my goodness! Your Mom is going to be so proud of you!!! As far as I can tell, you stayed mostly dry today - that's a first! lol Great treasures on the beach today.
I absolutely love it!!! I so much enjoy watching your videos! I’m not able to go shelling since I live in Oklahoma and in poor health. Would so love to have one of your mega moons. 😮
What a great adventure!! The fog added some fun to the finding of great shells!!!! I love all of the shells all of you found in New Jersey!!!! Abrazos ❤
I think the fused oysters would make cute little display bowls, especially if they have a smaller one that is fused back to back with a larger one, it could be like a little pedestal bowl.
when my husband and I go shelling in Florida, I wear a whistle. He get to far ahead of me and I loose him. Fortunately the whistle gets his attention. Or other shellers call out to him for me. lol, It works for us. The horse muscle is my favorite!
Hey girls! Love this beach. So many great finds. I love the fog too. Our SC shells, especially whelks can be really dark too. We don't have much color in our shells but they are beautiful cleaned up and rubbed with mineral oil. Such a fun adventure. I know you guys had an awesome time. Thanks for sharing! Oh and Jamie, I did not miss that sand dollar, lol! Hugs!
I'm so glad ya'll enjoyed yourself down at the Jersey shore. Last time i was down the shore, i asked Mother Nature what she was gonna show me that day. I got a live calm and 2 live moon snails. Congrats on the whelks! Please clean and dip the whelks, shark eyes and scallops in acid and you will appreciate it. Sorry, but your calm shells will not look that beautiful again. The only thing i can say is mineral oil for the calms. You might get lucky, and one or two will stay that color. If you have a way to keep the color, please share. Love the all black shark eye nice find and the muscles nice find there too. I've never found a mucsle shell that pretty here in Jersey. Jamie, thank you. You made me appreciate the Jersey Beach and shells a little more, and anyone who knows me knows how much I LOVE my beaches.
What a great day you have had. Such great shells and some surprises along the way. Loved the ocean and the fog. Was such a beautiful sight. Take care😊🐚
OMG those 2 toned sharkeyes are so gorgeous! Ladies, not sure if you remember my comment a bit ago about planning a trip to plum island, but me and hubby are going to be there May 5-10, if you could help us figure out the best places for shelling, that would be amazing :) I'm so excited to go shelling there!! ~Faith
At 2:07 That Lunarca ovalis is very big. I had lots of intact pairs in my collection, but seldom larger than 1.5 inches. At 14:48 the coral looks like Solenastrea hyades (Dana, 1846). The best find of all if you ask me.
I'm really digging the misty fog. It's both mysterious and magical - and looks great on your film😊 PS it's so weird to hear you say "Kim & Traci" (sp?) because my younger sister is Traci lolol
They're out there Mary! You've got a better chance of finding these treasures if you head to the beach 2 hours before low tide and most especially a day or two after a storm!
Such nice finds! I’d love to find giant knobbed whelks like those but hey at least I’m lucky enough to be able to find channeled whelks all the way here in California lol (they’re actually introduced here). Keep up the great content!
I absolutely LOVE the giant surf clams with the blue underside. They always look like they’re smiling 🙂. Thank you for sharing ❤❤

Hahaha! Thanks for watching Kim!
Great finds !❤
I go to the jersey shores often and never get these great finds. I'd do anything to score me just one whelk
Jettys low tide even in the summer. Low tide after noreastern/big storms.

I love channeled Whelks!! I find more knobbed whelks than channeled whelks around here.
