Does anyone else have difficulty NOT buying every pretty pack of scrapbook paper they see? Honestly I have to stay away from the websites, especially during sale time:) What is the one thing you have trouble NOT buying?
Definitely notebooks and scrapbooks, for 2 reasons. Partly bc all of them are really pretty, and partly because all my other ones are full of stuff I hate and I don’t want to look at it lol 😂
I would really love to see a tour of your art journal when it's completed, all the pages are so gorgeous, that book is beautiful. It needs it needs its own video. Please and thank you!
The good thing for me is I have an African Grey parrot, so whenever he molts or pulls out an old feather I save them all, so I have a bag full of ethically sourced feathers :D
I love how organic your mixed media pages look. I always feel my art can look too rigid and planned. Do you have any tips to loosen up my work? Beautiful end result by the way 😉😊
Hi Jade and thanks for your comment😀 I find that scattering and making sure nothing is uniform helps to lessen the rigid nature of the page and as for loosening up, something I've tried in the past is to pick three colors and then just chuck different supplies and media at the page, layering and layering up. Sticking to three colors helps to avoid a mess or creating "mud" with your colors. I try not to plan out my pages and to just go with what comes as I'm creating. Hope this helps a little😀
I'm sorry if this has already been addressed, but what are you using in your distress ink pads to tranfer to your paper. I kind of looks like a big marshmallow to me 😁
Have you ever thought of having a design team? I was a guest on the Vera Lane design team last year. Each person on the team got a copy of the digital stamps and then showcased them in a completed project and made a blog post/YT video about the item. The 'designer' (person who made the project using the stamps) got a mention and a free stamp set while the company/creator got the exposure from the designer. You could make the requirements like at least 500 subscribers or something like that. It is a nice way to get more exposure by partnering up with small content creators, just an idea.
Hello, I have thought about having a design team (I've some small design team type collaborations in the past). It's definitely something I'd like to do again soon, I'll make a post on social media when I get a plan together😀

it's simple yet beautiful... but felt a little black splattering wud add more beauty. .
I don't normally add black splatter to my pages but it might look nice. I'll see if I can add it next time:)
thanks.....😃
I just found out that there is a scrap store near me, so I think I will have to try out art journalling!
Art journalling to lots of fun😀 But don't blame me when you're addicted to buying pattern papers😉

Do u know where I can get Gesso?
Try art shops in the painting section. Gesso is often used in acrylic paining and oil painting to prep the canvas:)
