Watching you guys in the farm house .. makes us really appreciate local farmers.. from the planting and maintaining the farm and how hard it may be to bring produce in to town ... And Jonathan .. the last farm house I went to we had cassava and lemon tea for breakfast .. your team sa Bau special ca Saraga ... Keep it coming 😂😂
If there is no urgent need of this Hardwood tree than please don't cut them Use pine that can be planted easily and takes only 20 to 25 years to mature You cut one Hardwood like that it will take 100 years Leave alone you destroying the eco system Some of those Hardwood trees grew naturally
Understand your thoughts but I would rather see the landowners selectively cutting local hardwood for their use compared to the indiscriminate logging done in the area before. This is one advantage of living in this area, there’s enough lumber. I will be using vaivai (raintree) for my extension. There’s enough pine in this area, but pine needs to be treated well to last.
@@TheSUale Yes ,I understand that indiscriminate logging has been happening all along With what's happening around the world with climate change, No one would have bothered some 10 years ago what climate change was Not only pine but many other timber needs treatment Very few heard of Mahogany some 20 years ago Today it is gold in Fijian timber If you making a temporary shed than I don't think we need some high class treateted timber and bringing those big monster tree down Even mangrove will do We can argue on this but think of what lies ahead for future generations of What will be coming in front of them I am from Vanualevu and when FFI was in operation, Dakua was logged left right and center Today hardly anyone uses Dakua Ply Boards are imported from China these days
