This was an awesome video! I’m thinking about considering this career! What tips or suggestions could you give me to prepare for an undergraduate degree( BS in Communication Science and Disorders)within this field?
Thank you so much 🙏🏻I will say it is such a broad field with many topics, so just be aware that it might be overwhelming at first to learn it all! You will learn a lot of information but it will be very exciting and enriching :) Did you want specifics to the classes or anything else you want to know?
@@BB23573 Hmm, I would say speech science and neuroanatomy were more difficult than the others! Although I will say, I have never been a fan of that content so studying was probably harder in those classes compared to others.
We had a short elective class at the beginning of the summer (typically 4-5 hours a day for 4 days long) and then we had an AAC class for a few weeks after that! So yes to classes with the clinic in the summer but the classes go by quick and do not take up a lot of time at all :)
Thank you for sharing this video!
Thank you for the sweet words!
Cool to see some of the activities and the focus going into sessions

@@YourLocalSpeechie What was the most challenging class you had taken in your undergrad program?
