Just one more piece of trivia … the gumboot actually marks the highest point that the Banyan flooded to during the wet seasons back when I grew up there. This happened almost every year. Very rare occurrence nowadays though. And do they still call the lookout at the top of Mt.Tyson “Scout’s Rock”, I wonder. Great vid, takes me back to my youth. Thank you.
Aw thanks for this video, I’m from Sydney but had many happy childhood memories of Tully visiting my grandparents. Climbed Tyson on the 80’s avoiding waitawhiles and many dips in Alligators Nest, minus the stairs of course!
