Depends on how many balls you have. At least 23 for a 3% chance is feasible, so is at least 9 for a 8% chance. More is of course better. I would argue that Asmongold actually got unlucky with all the balls he threw. XD

Nah caught two under level 20. Just lure them to your base. Damage them and get killed. Once it tries to escape the chance increase to 8% and then you can catch it

Every time I watch/play this game, I think "if an indie studio can make this game and have it be a million times better than Pokemon, how has Gamefreak not made that game already?" Like how are we in 2024 and Gamefreak is still struggling to have Pokemon follow you around in the overworld? I don't get it. Palworld has that and a lot more _and its still in early access._
League of Legends went through a similar thing with % chance before with crit rates. The rates are working fine, it's mostly our perception of how probabilities work. If you have a chance to catch a Pal at 33% your first instinct might be that you'll hit that within 3 balls. The truth is that the dice is rolling behind the scenes randomly, and the idea you'll get it within 3 is only the result of a large number of rolls collated and averaged. The truth is the dice just might fail the catch 10 times in a row on a 33%, because that's how the mechanic works in practice. Riot dealt with it by smoothing out their probabilities so it felt more like on a 33% crit, you'll get a crit closer to 1 in 3 attacks than pure chance might actually give you. Palworld should take similar steps, because while it isn't really unfair, it does feel punishing in a game that's meant to be entertaining and fun.
I played Palworld for 15 hours and it was amazing, but once you start exploring the world it all feels very samey, anybody else with the same thoughts?
The game is great, but the world feels empty, not a lot of motivation for exploring. The same chests, almost the same pals everywhere and the green orbs are the only things worth exploring for.
Right. Yeah, it's very early to tell, just hope the devs add continuous momentum to it :) Personally love the base building part, hope they keep expanding the game.
Honestly the catch rate is so shit, asmon should go into the world settings and increase it to 1.1 or 1.2 of the regular catch rate. Spending 30 minutes grinding to make 20 balls just to have them all fail sucks so much ass
In case yall didn't know the amount of shit he threw at that Mammoth was actually a shit ton of resources and time completely wasted because he he doesn't have enough effigies to increase his chances to capture. Poor Asmon, 10/10 content.
Idk if you know yet but you can see how many effigy points you have in the key slot inventory it's the inventory nxt to your sort button in your inventory menu it will also show what saddles you have attached etc.
I suggest turning the catch rate up but just a little so you don't waste so much resources specially after lv30 when you start getting the more expensive balls the world settings is a nice feature and should be used to improve your fun

Saw a hulking metal dude with a minigun, and trapped it by accident haha, he defends my second base now, this game I swear sometimes.
And they are gonna add more to it
Honestly i see this game being bigger than what it is now.
Goty contender for sure
@@aliquidgaming1068ok buddy nah the year hasn't even had time to cook
Even early access sludge beats out all of those Netflix rejects that some keep trying to get us to call "games".
Asmon trying to catch that mammoth I hope was a humbling experience for him. There is such a simple way to increase the capture rate chance but because Asmon(never reads a tutorial)gold will probably learn this mechanic about 20 hours further into gameplay from now. It's moster hunter world and learning to tackle all over again lol
How do you increase it? Dealing more damage?
@@charlesbronson1594Effigy upgrades I’m pretty sure
@@ovojayledgei heard someone say that stunning them helps
Effigy upgrades. Back capture bonuses. Using better balls. And inflicting status conditions (namely burning and stun)
He collected several and upgraded his catch rate twice that I recall in this video.
Man, that mammorest thought it was Mewtwo XD
54:35 LMFAO The base isn't a hospital because no one's being taken care of 😭
I've really enjoyed watching you play this game. Even bought it myself because you make it look so fun.
That said, are there any places online that offer free statistics courses? 3-8% basically means "not going to happen." 😂
Watching you try to catch that mammoth was like watching a gambler telling me that the slot machine is due for a payout.
Congrats on catching it. You beat the odds. Lmao.
Depends on how many balls you have. At least 23 for a 3% chance is feasible, so is at least 9 for a 8% chance. More is of course better.
I would argue that Asmongold actually got unlucky with all the balls he threw. XD
Exactly what I was thinking. I thought maybe I was missing something. But 3 to 8%?
I see 10% as 1 in 10.
20% as 1 in 5, etc.
Technically the odds are a bit worse because it has multiple checks, but still if you have a lot of balls then you're bound to get it eventually.
I know it's technically possible to get tails 100 times in a row, but how often does that happen?
1:47:08 He's so efficient at video games he blinks with one eye at a time
I have the feeling that this fellas with enough money and compromise can really make a gigantic gaming franchise from this point tho. Is buggy but definitely fun as f
2:55 That's some revelation right there
He needs to level up to hyper spheres for mammoths i think they unlock at 27. He might be throwing balls too fast to allow the RNG to properly reset as well
nah he had a 0.14% chance of catching that mammoth, he actually got lucky that he caught it at all. the 3% is only for the first roll, you have to hit two rolls to catch a pal. 0.14% chance in total, you can pause around 6:27 to see it
Nah caught two under level 20.
Just lure them to your base. Damage them and get killed. Once it tries to escape the chance increase to 8% and then you can catch it
29:00 99999999 was emotional damage
This is not my genre of game but Asmon just makes it interesting enough to give it a try XD
it's worth it, I havent played any similar game to this, I think, ever, since like pokemon red on a gameboy.

That 8% capture turning into 3% struggle was hilarious 😂😂😂
Breeding is by far the most overpowered mechanic I've found. If you use the calculator you can breed some crazy stuff even early on. Level 13 I had a Blazehowl and Digtortoise.
You dont even unlock the breeding farm till like 19
@@Zak-jt6nk Playing multiplayer my guild mate is 20 and had one.
exposed bro
@@longjohnsilver8586 Exposed? I have the achievement for over 90 pals captured thanks to breeding now. You can absolutely utilize your guild mates structures. Learn to play bro.
To clarify because apparently people have brain rot in multiplayer you can use things your friends have built. Your level is only a requirement to unlock the tech for yourself. You can absolutely use anything and everything they have already built to 100% effectiveness. That being said breeding is op.
I love how his base is as disorganized as his house
All his base pals are depressed 😂😂😂
I never noticed how it says on the right "_____ has escaped from the sphere! Cheeky bastard!" That's funny.
Hunting for the green effigies is so much easier at night. You can see them from a mile away.
I wasn't expecting you to enjoy this so much! Thanks for making content on this game!
the mod where you can increase everything in the custom options is actually super usefull and i'd say needed just for the catch rate modifier.
Hah love the salt from 3% capture chance :)
I believe in last vid Osmon been casting much hate towards grass retardfants so why do you bother trying to catch another one?
The "leave chipotle outside and wait for the helper to arrive and bring it in" strat really worked perfectly omg
This game is such good content 😂
I declare that Palworld is the most awesome game. Far more than cs2, DOTA2, pubg, Baldur's Gate 3, elden ring, gta5, apex, Fortnite, cod, monster hunter, 2077, p5r, these are not games, they are all garbage, the new game production method created by Palworld, the industry will be grateful to Palworld in the future. My God, I can play such a fun game in my life
2:04:10 Geeze i wish someone would animate that, it just prances away as he hits a rock.
It kills me that he still mostly uses the crossbow with all that ammo on him

Every time I watch/play this game, I think "if an indie studio can make this game and have it be a million times better than Pokemon, how has Gamefreak not made that game already?" Like how are we in 2024 and Gamefreak is still struggling to have Pokemon follow you around in the overworld? I don't get it. Palworld has that and a lot more _and its still in early access._
Simple. Gamefreak is a lazy dogshit company
Diablo 4 sucks
I commented the same thing under his last enshrouded video and people come to attack me lol
The game is great, but the world feels empty, not a lot of motivation for exploring.
The same chests, almost the same pals everywhere and the green orbs are the only things worth exploring for.
@@VexelArcadeI agree mostly but it has only been out a week or so give it time
Lets hope that changes after early access
Right. Yeah, it's very early to tell, just hope the devs add continuous momentum to it :) Personally love the base building part, hope they keep expanding the game.
lol… when I start watching a new AG video and am immediately greeted with “you’re going in the box…” lol
Honestly the catch rate is so shit, asmon should go into the world settings and increase it to 1.1 or 1.2 of the regular catch rate. Spending 30 minutes grinding to make 20 balls just to have them all fail sucks so much ass
Or he could just play the game correctly and get effigies and hyper spheres..
I excited for pvp and hopefully 100 player servers
In case yall didn't know the amount of shit he threw at that Mammoth was actually a shit ton of resources and time completely wasted because he he doesn't have enough effigies to increase his chances to capture. Poor Asmon, 10/10 content.
8% into 3%? Yeah, sounds about right. You need to be ready with some of these monsters. I would have come back to this one. 😅😅😅
2:30 a true gatcha gaming experience!
Idk if you know yet but you can see how many effigy points you have in the key slot inventory it's the inventory nxt to your sort button in your inventory menu it will also show what saddles you have attached etc.
Even choosing 2 on the sphere catch rate in Custom options doesn't make it any less ridiculous to catch Pals.
This is sooo gooood! Gotta love me some long palworld videos from my boi Zack
I suggest turning the catch rate up but just a little so you don't waste so much resources specially after lv30 when you start getting the more expensive balls
the world settings is a nice feature and should be used to improve your fun
"I just caught bernie sanders." 😂 I needed that laugh
*All of Asmon's base Pokemon holding on to life by a thread;
"Why the fuck aren't they working?!!"
