I found 3 videos before yours that use the same concept. But NONE of them worked for me. I saw that you used a slightly different expression, I tried it and it worked! Which gets you a big thumbs up. Thanks very much.
@@desireeegusquiza6458 he press alt+left click on the "position" thing. i need to ask a friend who familiar with AE to help on this part as well, but overall good tutorial! i made mine haha
Thank you for the turorial thats helpful. If anybody is having trouble with duplicating the logo composition more than 17 times change the 3D renderer to normal from Cinema 4D. The problem will be solved. I spend a lot of hours to figure it out. Thought it would be helpful to you guys. Cheers............
IF YOU ARE HAVING AN ISSUE WITH THE PNG FILE BECOMING NOT TRANSPARENT WHEN DUPLICATING THEN TURN ON CLASSIC 3D RENDERER. (top right above preview window) im wriring this in caps lock in the hope it helps someone and they dont have to spend the time i did troubleshooting XD
If you want it to be 3d, then just change the last image (same expression), but if you just want to have a spinning thing then remove the expression and camera, and just change the rotation and swap the images at 90 degrees, hope I'm not too late to help
I'm glad you enjoy this and if you want to learn basics or after effects then you can check out mu new free after effects course here: bit.ly/AeBasicsCourse
Great and simple video. Brilliant. But pls I have an issue. When I make more than 14 copies of the logo comp layer, the background becomes black. I don't know why. Pls can you help? Thanks
How can I make a transparent background do you have a tutorial for that? ... also great video I made my logo and it looks great very easy steps thank you
If anybody is still curious about the graph editor looking different. All you have to do is select "position" (under your camera), then right click in the graph editor and select "edit speed graph"
Thanks man glad you liked it! The expression is pretty simple. All it does is "[position[0], position[1], index]" the first two places in array for position x and y remains same for all the layers however the z value is set to index (index represents the layer number or layer index for ex. layer 1 has index 1, layer 2 has index 2 and so on.) so every time you duplicate the layer it is offset into the z space by 1 (which is calculated with the index of the layer) hence offsetting each layer in the z space by 1 unit thus giving the depth effect. Hope this helps :)
cool video, it turned out fine for me but I had an issue where no matter how many times i duplicated the logo it didn't change in thickness. I even went up to a hundred plus layers and it looks exactly as if there were none. I'm using a png file I exported from photoshop, its a solid red triangle with a white background. I expected similar results to the youtube logo you used
