Welcome back to Majestic Pinball, today we are looking at one of two different Super Mario themed games released by Gottlieb back in 1992. Here we have a Super Mario Bros. Mushroom World pinball machine designed to be operated in redemption style ticket arcades. It's a lot smaller than a standard pinball machine which crates some rather interesting gameplay.

I remember playing this game at a local arcade all the way in the early 90’s. Actually credited as Charles Martinet’s first voice acting as Mario. I really like this machine!
Charles Martinet’s first Mario voice acting was actually on the previous/first Mario pinball table, "Super Mario Bros. (Gottlieb 1992)"
Charles is an absolute legend, his personality is so infectious! Thank you for watching! ☺️
Would be cool if Pinball FX for Nintendo Switch got this and the other Mario Pinball games as an exclusive DLC Pack
It would be great but I can't see it happening sadly as they currently only have the licence to reproduce Bally/Williams machines and both Mario machines were made by Gottlieb. The Pinball Arcade still has the license to release Gottlieb titles I believe but they just aren't doing anything with it sadly. Thanks for stopping by!
Mushroom! This video made my day! I played this at Chuckie cheese in Erie as a kid for birthdays and I posted up a this machine the entire time
Thanks for sticking it out to the end! :D Glad to hear it brought you back some good memories!
My favorite pinball game. Have played it at Little Silver Ball in Osaka and FlipperMuseum in Budapest.
@@onetwoone418 It's pretty cool, glad you got to experience it too! 😁 Thanks for watching!
I own this one and love having it as part of my collection
It's unique that's for sure! 😁
A lovely variety of holes on this game, iconic!
Mushroom! 🍄
😂😂 boom-boom hole is a bit of you surely?
Looks like such a cool game. The level of difficulty is right up my street too 😄. Hope you’re well 👍👍🕹️😊
I thought this machine might be a bit of you haha. All good here mate, hope the same for you?
@@MajesticPinballhaha, you’re spot on! Fab pleased to hear it buddy, yep all good thank u 😊
Yeesh, the customer definitely wants to keep this game low. Looks like the ball is going in slow motion. Neat novelty of a table, though. Also funny that some of the sound effects are taken from Link to the Past. The whistle sound, and the save and quit jingle are especially obvious.
I thought some of the sounds triggered an area of my brain where I recognised them but wasn't sure where from - You're spot on. Thanks for watching!
@@MajesticPinball So I read a little bit more on this, actually. Gottlieb was working on a Link to the Past table at one point that ended up getting turned into Gladiators and released the year after this. I'm actually wondering if both this table and that one ended up being developed in tandem. Looking at the two tables, the Gladiators table actually looks VERY similar in layout to this one, just extended further, made harder, and having a more comprehensive set of modes. The sound effects might've just been left overs from that project and while they were in the middle of redeveloping it, they threw them in here.
I use to love this game back in the 90 😍 its nostalgia there thanx bro
My pleasure, thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment! :)
Game looks cool. Sound design is better than the game itself
Totally agree with that! Thanks for watching!🙂
I can't wait to see how the pinball machines will look for Pac Man & Mario vs Donkey Kong 1981 Arcade!
Would love to see a modern day Pac-Man themed machine... There are some rumours Stern are working on a Pokemon machine but who knows when that would be released. Thanks for stopping by to comment!
Easily the best Pinball game I ever played.
It's pretty cool! Thanks for watching! :)

Easy to use
Is very interactable
Sucked up tokens
It was perfect
It was also small, perfect for children
It's a shame this sort of pin never caught on, especially in today's arcades filled with redemption style ticket machines, this machine has the ability to dispense tickets so would be perfect for an arcade now
Wait a minute....
The "Boom-Boom Hole" is next to the Princess Hole?
You got it! 😂😂
Actually, better pinball than the regular one
I think they're both enjoyable although nothing too ground-breaking or exciting going on with either of the games. Thanks for watching! 😁
This table is realy small for a normal arcade
It is very small especially when next to a regular sized machine, it's a perfect introduction to pinball for children though! Thanks for watching ☺️
One thing I've heard is that, if you run the whole time, the video mode's victory bonus will be doubled.
Didn't know that, will have to give that a try if I see one again anytime soon. Thanks for watching! :)
Mushroom 🎉

30,000,000 for completing the easiest video mode in pinball. As you say, though, it's a kid's game and a great introduction to pinball for a child. Quite fun to own as a novel piece of arcade history. Mushroom....
Absolutely, all the points seem to be in the video modes. Thanks for watching all the way through! 🍄
Mushroom
🍄 Thank you for watching! 😁
Mushrooms!!
🍄😁
Mushroom!
Whooooop! Thanks for making it to the end! 😁
Great video.
Thank you for checking it out and leaving a comment! 😁
This game was designed to have a ticket dispenser.
Instead of points, the final dark land world can give you tickets for striking the drop targets.
but yeah the real points are in the video modes. the game is eminently masterable. I saw someone grind it out back in the day.
Very easy game indeed, it's really generous with extra balls too which is why I ended up draining a few of them otherwise this game could have run for hours! Thanks for watching
Why both Mario Bros tables used theming and music that was closer to Mario World is beyond me.
That's a very good point, I'm guessing they were released around the same time to sort of cross-promote each other? I don't know too much about the history of the old Mario games so can't be sure. Thanks for watching though! ☺️
Game is not set up right.
there are two ways to set it up. one is timer mod,e and the post that keep sbalsl from slipping out of teh bumpers in place.
the other way is not timer, but the post removed so ball scan leave the bumpers.
you have it no timer, but the bumper trap still in place. :)
also ideally you should be able to deflect balls from one kickout to the other by holding up the flipper, and dead bounce both of them to land on the same side as the kickout.
tweak things until that works. :)
This machine belongs to a customer so I always leave it how they like their games set up :)
