Pro tip: To prevent snapping those post with the loctite on them, hold a soldering iron on the screw in the middle of the T nut and they come right out.
Yea, heat does loosen that loctite up, but it literally snapped on one twist. No time to even react until the deed was done. lol.
Great content as always. Looking forward to seeing the Cliffys on those worn out holes.
Mario is timeless, everyone from every generation will recognise that title - I would suggest route that pin and see how it does sitting next to a popular machine.
If it sucks - THEN sell it.
Appreciate the very detailed cleaning video. I just picked up up as my holy grail for my nintendo/mario ollection that is in need of a good cleaning job. Gonna start cleaning and modding it today. 👍
I am looking to buy the small version in the future. When I do I plan on cleaning it up and replacing the lights with LEDs.
Another great video Cary!
Oh those Gottlieb post... if your ever going to take apart a Gottlieb just buy them by the bag full!
I typically buy all new star posts for every game I do. Cheap and nice upgrade.
Thats my problem when i start working on a machine.. im just gonna fix this, well ehile im here i might as well fix that.. straight domino effect
I need some Cary Harry merch

U prefer the alcohol to the naphtha for cleaning the heavy dirt streaks? Still learning so I ask questions
Both are fast evaporating solvents and would work. I think naphtha would work better honestly. Not sure why I chose to use IPA.
What do you put under the playfield on the trough side to prop it up? It looked like a metal box.
That is what Gottlieb provides for us. Metal risers from the factory.
How do you remove the castle assembly? I've been messing with it for a while and can't figure it out.
Haha I called that one!
What did you call?
