So I came across your video whilst tryna figure out if I could turn leftover smoke chuck roast into beef jerky, 😆.. I sliced it and sent it! What I did learn, was that the extremely thin piece of brisket that we encountered the other night, would've been excellent for your recipe!
Now I know a better way to do jerky! My favorite butcher store is $24.95 lb. It's award-winning but pricy. I typically make venison jerky with all the bits and pieces from my deer but now it's time to change. Cheers!
Tommy, Thanks, just wish I could keep it around for more than 3 days. We just eat it up ! I think the issue I have is I'm not drying it out enough before smoking. Oh, and I did find some grates (holes are about 1/8 in diameter or a bit smaller) that lay on top of the grill so I don't have to worry about fall through. Thanks Tommy !
Hey Tommy, beef 🍖 jerky looks delicious 😋! I have made beef jerky both on my big smoker and also in the oven. When I get ready to make jerky I go down to the supermarket and buy whatever meat 🍖 they have discounted for a quick sale. Sometimes I find London broil sometimes sirloin whatever's on sale. London broil is the best I have found for jerky. One time I found London broil at a big discount bought 5lbs. of it. Made it my friends came over and ate it all. LOL 😂! With the price of beef jerky out of control it's a smart move to make your own. Enjoyed the video! Stay Safe and Take Care!
Dude this is similar to jerky I make with venison. A little sirracha does wonders too. Good for marinading charcoal grilled back straps too! Lookin good!
Great lookin jerky Tommy! I love makin it. Not sure if you saw my last smoked Shotgun shells video, but I bought a jerky gun. I'm gonna make some jerky with ground beef and see how that turns out. Keep up the great work brother, cheers to ya 🍺🍺
Love beef jerky HT!!! Is this cut of beef called something else as well as London Broil cuz my butcher sells a London Broil that is completely different than this😅 The weather is def turning here in Ontario as well 🙄😬 🍁🍂and makes Grillin even more comforting and fun!!👏🏻❤️🔥 Great job!!!!👏🏻❤️🔥💪🏻😻
Is that Sesame seeds you sprinkled on? I've done quite a few Jerky recipes and all my friends say I should sell it. I will definitely give your recipe a try. Thanks.
@@thegalleryBBQ thanks! Doing my first comp in a few weeks. Figured the extra space wouldn't hurt. Brisket and ribs on the 1050, while chicken on the Auto Komado. Love both pits
Thats some nice looking jerky I’ve been looking to make some for awhile now I did have a question on that slicer do you plan on doing a review on it I own a 10” that’s similar im looking to upgrade to a 12” but im curious on what size the slicing deck is great content cheers 🔥👍🍺
LL.... I may do a future review. I can tell you that I love this slicer for the price. That said. Its heavy and built like a tank. If u want more info on it. LMK
Looks great, def going to try it. I like using a large zip lock bag with all the air pushed out to marinate, I think it keeps the meat in contact with all the marinade. I hope you try it. Thanks for all the time you spend on your videos.
My first time making Jerky was in the Ronco food dehydrator, which used a light build, I think it was in the 1970's, worst recipe and the worst experience and never tried since. As of right now 2 lbs of London broil is cut up, marinading in your recipe, is in the fridge and will be cooked up on my pellet grill today. I'm a food snob, there is no in-between, I either will like a recipe or I will hate it....I'll let you know when it's done and I taste it!!!
@@sergiog-bj6mh well the first batch i made was ok, i think i cut it a bit to thin. the second try i cut it a bit thicker but lacked flavor. probably me and not the receipt.

I would try to keep your fingers away from that blade, those slicers will take the tips of your fingers right off. Keep hand on other side at all times.

I hear John! I was supposed to pass some out to my daughter but she waited too long and now its gone😂
My go-to snack on the ambulance! I'll try and make my own now!
Cheers brother!
I have never tried to make Jerky, but always thought about it. I am defiantly going to have to fire up the pit and make some now!!!
You gotta do it!!
Bring in Fall. I make beef jerky in my Ninja Foodie but will definitely give the pellet grill a try, my co workers love when I make it

The London broil looks like an outstanding cut for jerky. That turned out awesome 👍😊
So good

Dang I am due to make this - and chili LOL! I just ordered the big grates for my 1050 - I bet I can fit 5# on there now!
Enjoy that upgrade!

Fantastic looking 👌 Beef Jerky great for snacking on. Using that teriyaki marinade you were spot on my brother. Cheers ✌️ 🍺
Thanks 👍
Awesome bro thank you will be trying your recipe out❤
London broil is not a cut of beef but a way of preparation. So what cut did you use here?
In NJ its called London Broil and its always the same cut! What cut, who knows!

Very nice how to video on making beef jerky Tommy! I might want to try this out, definitely price is better than buying it outright premade.👊🏻😋🍻
You'll love it!!!!
Does it have a good smoke flavor? I bought a smoke tube to go in the smoker while cooking but don’t wanna overdue it
some but not overpowering.
Not bad tommy. You know I make my own jerky.
my man...
lets get jiggy with the jerky 😝
My man....
Great recipe
Thanks a lot
yes suh, I love me some jerky

Thanks and thanks for the watch and support!
Eye round is better
Cool vid
Thanks for watching!!
What did you add on top after drying it off?
sesame seeds??
Whats the shelf life?
Say i put it in some air tight vacuum sealed bags with oxygen absorbers in there.
Honestly. Mine never lasts more then a few days.
Watch your fingers with that slicer man!
Of course.
Have you tried sous vide the jerky first?
I have not.... How is it?
@@thegalleryBBQ my buddy tried my batch out and says there is a slight difference it’s a bit more tender than stuff he buys from a jerky maker
What kind of pellets you use
Cherry!

If you freeze the meat for at least an hour. It will be much easier to slice
Gotcha..
