Awesome video! I love horror games and the game is looking super kool and very polished. The enemy ideas are really spooky and scary especially when they can only move when certain criteria are met. The game intro is spot on and gives the horror chill feeling. Also just wishlisted your game. Looking forward to your next devlog. Keep it up! :)
The game will be completed by this year for sure, but I don't want to say any exact release dates yet, but I am assuming in the next 2-4 months if everything goes well.
This is so cool man. I gotta ask...how do u program these? Do u use blueprints or did u learn c++, and what tutorials/courses did u watch? Ive always wanted to make a horror game in UE and this inspires me tbh.
The game is fully made in Blueprints, so no C++ at all. I watched a lot of Matt Aspland's videos to learn the basics of UE5 (started in UE4) and just random other youtubers. But I do recommend you just play around and experiment throwing random sh*t together in code to see what happens, as that helped me understand a lot of more about coding with blueprints.
just make sure the camera is a camera and not the head. think outlast. anything else would feel weird. And waking up with the light and radio on, and having the first thought about the newspaper is also pretty weird. All that exposition in the first 5 minutes without much to do is also a bummer. Maybe you can figure it out somewhat more natural. Like having the newspaper scattered around later parts of the game.
@@bogosbintedthealien ehhhhhj, I’d have to check the files, I’ll get back to you once I found it cause it was a song I found from like roughly 80-100 years ago that was in the public domain
Cool stuff, but I'm a bit worried you are again planning for too much and will be overwhelmed at some point like with the last game :o
Valid, but I’m making sure that the stuff I’m adding is all possible with my current level of skill
I like the mechanics and how the game works, good job :D
Cool can’t wait to see the final product!

Very cool! If you end up wanting/needing some other voice work I would love to give it a shot. Good luck on the rest of the production!

@@LenexTL bro so far, the game is looking absolutely fantastic. Keep going man.. I'd definitely play it
wow
Where do you get the sound effects, footsteps etc?
Most of them just from UA-cam or free sound websites, but ya have to make sure it’s free use so you don’t get any issues later on

Wellllll, in the context of the games story, you are watching the “game” through a vhs camera recording, so the players head is the camera… 😅
What is the name of the song you had playing on the radio?
