Even after 5 years you've published this video, it's still helping people. You just saved me. I disassembled the lens and was having difficult to put it all together again. Especially in the last part where everything fits together in only one way. Thanks to your tips I did it. Thanks a lot!
For those who have sand stuck under the focus ring, here is what to do after having removed the barrel from the inner part following Arthur's instruction: 1. Remove the little sticker ring of the rim of the focus ring, revealing three little holes and the plastic lock-ring it sits on. 2. On this inner lock ring there is a 1cm piece which is a little more flexible. There should be a little gap to the left and right of it 3. Align one of the three holes of the focus ring with the left gap of the inner lock-ring, and use a small flat head-screw driver to lock the two in position. Then twist counter clockwise on focus ring for about 1cm 4. You will now be able to detach the focus ring + lock-ring. You should now be able to proper see the small little 1cm piece holding the lock-ring in place. This itself is detachable and only held in place by the same felt-ring like the rest of the lock-ring. 5. Simply flip it off gently and get in between the lock-ring and the focus-ring with a small flat-head screw driver. Not bend the plastic lock-ring gently and get it out. Make sure you don't break the little felt ring it is attached to. 6. Now you can clean both surfaces from sand. Use a Q-Tip. After re-grease slightly to assure proper motion. 7. The little black marks you see on the inside work together with an optical sensor. On my lense, half of my marks have been worn off because of the sand! I simply drew them back on with a marker pen. 8. Put everything back together. Clean the rim of the focus ring from any grease to make sure that the sticker ring will stick properly after. Took me about 20mins to figure out the mechanism and another 10min to clean the ring. Good Luck.
Awesome description man, I dismounted the whole camera as the video and mounted again and manual focus still wasn't working. Then googled a lot to find a spare part, but then I bumped into to your comment and finding the sticker ring was like magic, I thought that was impossible to disassemble! After that just follow your steps, clean up the marks and the optical sensor and it works again, thanks!!
Any change you could elaborate a bit more on the whole "locking in place" thing? I've put a small screwdriver in the place you told me to, but the focus ring won't budge.
Hi. Thank you for this tutorial! This completely saved me from buying a secondhand kit lens for the Sony A6000 which I only borrowed from my son. I just finished repairing the kit after a heartbreaking incident during a pre-Christmas celebration with wife and her friends. I had a power bank (in my pocket) attached to the camera through a dummy battery. I forgot all about it. When I stood up, there went the camera with the lens and a Godox TT600 flash landing on the concrete floor. Everything inside the lens got misaligned and stuck. Good thing only the lens was affected but not damaged as there were no severe dents and broken parts. Just minor scratches. It absorbed all the impact. This kit lens is tough indeed! The camera and flash are both okay. This tutorial saved me a lot of pain in disassembling and reassembling. Mine was more difficult to disassemble as the impact caused all three plastic and three metal guides jumped off its tracks (as in train tracks if this is the right term). I had to improvise extra plastic pry tools using ballpoint pen caps. 😂 It was too painful to describe; I was worried I would break it. Thank God! The kit lens and camera are working. God bless you! Shalom
You literally saved my night and week. I dropped my camera and thought there wouldn't be any chance to repair it. Apparently I was wrong, I managed to repair it, thank you so much!
Thank you! My lens would not retract fully which caused the A6000 to not recognize the lens. A small piece of plastic from one of the tabs broke off and prevented the lens from fully retracting it. Clearing the debris out after a full disassembly fixed it so now it once again works perfectly. Yes lining every up for reassembly was the most difficult part. The complexity of the plastic channels to make everything work with one motor is amazing.
Thank you so much! This was just amazing. I had dropped my lens and the barrel was not moving in on turning off. After I opened it up and put it back together, everything started working again. I had some difficulty in removing the outer part from the barrel (where you have to press and remove), and while putting that back, I realized that it does fall into place in 3 configurations, out of which only one will position the ribbon on the outer part in line with the slot on the PCB. Took more than an hour, but totally worth it. Thanks again!
Thank you so much for such an informative video. I had dropped my Kit lens and it had stopped responding. I took it to the Sony Service Center and they denied to accept it. They said that it can't be repaired by a human. There is a special robotic machine worth millions of dollars that can repair it. I was disappointed, but with the help of your video. I was able to completely repair my Kit lens, and now it's working fine. Thanks again. Great life.
This video was EXTREMELY helpful. Almost went out and wasted money on another Kit Lens. All I needed to do was get that little broken piece out and voila it worked again. THANKS ALOT!!!!!!!!!!! With this vid it only took me about an hour. Would have been a good 4-5 if I tried to figure this out by myself.
Yours is still the best video for fixing this lens. Dropped camera and the barrel mechanism came out of grooves. Had a bit of work to clean up the scratched groves and to carefully bend the tabs/pins back. Even had to repeat because the smallest little ding on the barrel caused it to hang up while zooming (clearances very tight) so I would just warn people to examine those surfaces very carefully looking for dings or places it will bind. But your clues on how to reassemble were perfect. For sure I would have given up without them.
Thanks a lot mate! Nex 6 owner here and I love you :) You just saved me around 60-70 $ for lens repairment (this is what they charge for this here in Poland). It was exactly same thing broken. I just bought third party replacement ring for this lenses for like 7$ and everything seems to work fine. Cheers.
Last weekend I've dropped it just 50cm on the wood floor. It's really helpful episode for me because I've fixed my kit lens with this! Not only your explanation but your detail shot is very useful which it has every detail of tiny part and your explanation. Just spent 2 hours. Thanks mate!
Great video, I was able to fix mine! In my case my camera fell while turned on, the lens was then not recognized by the camera. I dissasembled it follow your instructions but didn't find any broken piece. Apparently was stuck from the hit. When I reassembled it back, it started working. Wasn't that easy and probably I watched some parts of the video more than 10 times. But definetely possible. Many thanks! and BTW, love you channel, excellent content!
Wow, you have saved me from having to buy a new lens for the camera. I am eternally grateful! I had exactly the same problem as you, the lens wouldn't close all the way when I turned the camera off and when I turned it on it made a weird noise and wouldn't zoom. It also gave me an error. When I disassembled the lens following your steps, a little piece of plastic fell out and it turned out to be exactly the same tab that had broken off for you. In my case I didn't stick it with glue, I reassembled the lens removing the little piece of plastic to test if that was the problem. I have kept it to be able to glue it in the future. After being able to mount the lens again (what an odyssey!), it works like a charm again. Thanks a lot for the tutorial!
THANK YOU! Bought this exact kit lens at a flea market for $20 and as expected my a5100 threw the "lens not recognized" error. Well after reading many forums where they just tell you to buy another one and trying all sorts of techniques like shaking it and cleaning the contacts I just figured I'll tear it apart. Turned out All I needed was to be able to remove the barrel as I discovered the retractable mechanism was jamed up and I needed to manually move it with my hand. Well after doing that and reassembling it worked! I don't know of it'll last for long but your video helped me get to a solution.
Wish you made this video last year. Over the last 12 months or so I bought a total of 3 broken SELP1650 from eBay and was able to fix 2 of them. I took photos as I disassembled them. I got smarter the second time around; I put a mark where the parts meet before each step of disassembly, and that really helped. I would have been able to fix the 3rd lens if the eBay seller wasn't a lying bastard.
thank you SO much for this tutorial man!! saved my life!! it took me like 5 friggggin hours but i got there in the end, no need to buy a new lens for my camera! again thank you!!!
Thanks! Saved my lens! Just removing the broken tabs (two out of three) and leaving the old ring as it was worked for me.. I put it all together so it won't get dusty while I wait for the replacement and I was surprised to see that it now works perfectly fine! We'll see how it goes on the long run but it might be that you don't even need to replace the ring!
T H A N K Y O U 👏 👏 👏 I was able to repair my lens after struggling for months to force my lens in and out manually. One of the tabs had broken off the ring as described, took less than an hour to disassemble and reassemble! (Some patience and fine motor skills necessary). Everything one needs is in this video, my difference was I simply removed the tab instead of gluing it back in place, but so far it’s not necessary to the functioning of the lens. Great vid, thanks for taking the time to make it!!!🥂
Thank you so much for the helpful hints on this. There was still a lot of trial and error, but just knowing it was possible to take it apart and put it back together gave me the hope that I could attempt the repair. I'd bought a replacement LENS a few years ago, but this time all I had to do was buy an $8 repair kit from Hong Kong, which only took one week to arrive. Got the camera working just now, right in time for my wife's birthday this weekend.
i dropped my camera in the gym and the stock lens got stucked and stopped working, thanks to your video now i'm back to business, bought the lens as 2nd hand so it's going to cost more bringing it to the shop - The labour cost here when it comes to camera in Aus is crazy, it was tough fixing it though, took me a good 2 hours Many thanks man !
Thank you! Dropped my camera while on vacation last week and it landed lens down. Entire mechanism was locked up. Tab missing just like you said. Couldn't find it, but replacement bayonet is $8 on amazon. Put it back together with the missing the tab and it works for now. Ordering parts just in case.. many thanks!
I have seen this video before out of curiosity but hoping that i'd never had to actually use it, but today I had to come back. I dropped my kit lens, and the focus ring got bent and stuck, and it wasn´t expanding any more when I turned the camera on.. a total mess, but thanks to this I was able to disassemble it, and gently use a chisel and hammer to straighten the edge of the ring, it took me a couple of hours to assemble everything back in, but now it is working like a charm again. thank you very much for submitting this.
This worked like a charm! Took me about 2.5 hours but it was worth not having to buy a new lense. At one point my lense got stuck to the barrel and it wouldn't slide because the little pieces that had broken off the plastic ring were jamming it. So i just used the screw driver to turn the gear until it became unstuck. And took out the little plastic piece that broke off, i didn't glue it back since it was so small just removed it so it didn't block the gear. Putting it back together was more of a challenge but it was very rewarding seeing it work!
Thank You SO MUCH for putting this out here! I had a piece of the top of the 'maze' ring break off and it got lodged so the lens wouldn't work. You're tutorial helped me find that little piece deep in taking everything apart and still be able to put it all back together. Thank you thank you... currently the lens is working fine!
Thank you very much bro! I could not even imagine that I could fix it myself! You are a great man! Thanks to you, I saved 180 euros and 2 weeks waiting for service !!! Good luck in everything!!!
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart and POCKET! My name is James, and I am the father on our channel (Keeping It Reyes) Long story short, I dropped my a6000 while it was on, causing the telescopic lens to bend awkwardly. I am a Registered Nurse, so ask me about human anatomy, just don't ask for mechanical advice. Budgeting is always on my mind, so I was dreading the thought of having to purchase another lens for our camera. Then, I stumbled upon your channel, and ultimately this video. Such an amazingly detailed, well instructed, disassembling and reassembling tutorial! You rock!!!!! Thank you again. (longest comment I have ever written for what it's worth)
Thanks a lot for posting this. I must have dinged my kit lens in a night club and it no longer would open. Watching your video and seeing how to remove all the pieces and take it apart helped me fix it and now it works without any problems. The interesting part is how mine didn't have anything broken inside. It was probably just bent, but by taking it apart it must have helped loosen it back up. Thanks again!
I want to say that this toturial help me out a lot. However, if you have never glued anything in your life, this will be challenging. I have a lot of experience in using super glue and it was not easy. This vid showed me the right way to put everything in place. Great vid and thanks.
Thanks for the vid fixed my kitlens too. Was unable to glue back the broken tab because its uneven. Have put back the lens back together without gluing the plastic back. Still works fine.
Excellent video. Good technical points. Good demonstration of the procedures that take a little finesse. Edited well. Minimal Smalltalk or extraneous info. Clean, clear, concise, excellent videography. What more can I say? I’ve done a number of small device repairs with a significant amount of frustration. This video illuminates at least 75% of the points that I find frustrating. I feel this fellow is professional.
Wow, thank you, I just saved my lens. I droped it while already turned off from 10cm off the ground and I also broke that tiny piece. I didn't glue it and put everything back into place and it works perfectly. Thank you so much! You have a new subscriber ;) Ps: I realized that this was a common issue in this lens so I just ordered two of those pieces that got broken. They cost me 2.3€ both, so now I have spares, just in case!
Can u pls provide the part name ,part code or something to search to get that part .....I'm facing issues where the lens restarts and switches around many f values and then at last shows 2 lines instead of the numbers in that slot of f value ......I tried different emount lens and they all work perfectly fine on the Sony alpha 5000L ...so I guess its the kit lens issue ...I tried reseting everything and upgrading downgrading and all things related to software ....now I have to go deeper into the lens and I hope I fall into the 90% case and its not something I can't repair myself .......
Clearest video about this, Thanks! Might want to take your lens apart before buying a replacement ring. Mine wasn't broken, it had just somehow flexed out of the track. taking it apart and putting it back together again fixed the problem.
After several hours (and attempts) I was able to get this taken apart and put back together. Small piece had broken off and was hung up in the mechanism. Thanks for the great tutorial!
My zoom ring is stuck after dropping while on tripod and even after taking the 4 screws out the lens barrel doesn't move. I can't move past the step of removing the zoom ring and lens barrel. Any tip?
Thank you very much for your video. I bought a camera with a broken lens, disassembled it and really the problem turned out to be a broken plastic shit ... :D I stuck these 2 fixings with glue + soda, undermined them and everything works well. But I still plan to order this part and replace it. Thanks again!
took 4 attempts but finally got it. It makes me appreciate my camera and the complexity more. i bought a new ring and suprised that a little $6 piece can total out a $130 lense.
Thanks a lot mate! You saved my lens! I fall on it during the first day of my trip and I had to make pictures with my smartphone.... Thanks to your tutorial I was able to fix it! We will see on long term (on of the attach on the ring is broken) but lens go in and out; zoom and focus now! Cheers!
This was very helpful and clear to understand and see! My camera is saying that the lens isn't recognized after I dropped it. The lens won't move in or out. Hopefully I can fix it later with the help of this video! Thank you
Thank you, I had the same problem, your video helped me solve it. I also glued the broken tab, not really believing that it would do any good, but it worked!
Thanks soo much for this step by step! I dropped my camera at Disney this week and the lens got pushed in. I was able to follow this and put it back together and it’s working fine!
Thank you so much :-) I did ! find a piece of platics probably broken , did not find where, put all pieces together, far from being a piece of cake, just being very very patient. well I put also some intermediate snapshots with my smartphone when opening the camera and now my sony is working beautifully :-) thanks again.
Very helpful, it made my day as I had the same issue with my lens.... Though I wasn´t able to glue the broken piece back to the inner ring, it now seems to be working without it :-)
Thank you for this video gave me the confidence to take it apart, put it back together and it works again....... that's what matters.... I think mine was just jammed or stuck but now it moves freely like a supposed to. THANK you
Thanks, the lens work's again, in my opinion the best way is to make a sign before dismantling each peace with corrector paint or with a permanent marker. after hard work the lens is still working.
Thank you so much the best lens dis-assembly tutorial. I could fixed the same problem by making the tiny chip by myself and attach the chip on the ring . This is the comment from Japan.
Great video!!! - I bought the a6000 body with the kit lens non-functional for $80. It had been dropped. I was able to tear it down and epoxy the exact same piece that broke on mine, then put it all back together. I had to do some very light shaping of the plastic with a Dremel to get it to fit "exact" after the epoxy had set, but it all works perfectly now!
Thank you! I'm thinking maybe making that ring be brittle plastic was a good design decision since it breaks and can be repairable vs breaking something else when we drop our cameras! You saved me some money
Thanks man! This really helped out. Whilst on holiday in Italy my wife broke the camera. Wanting to continue shooting with it I bought a miniature screwdriver and some glue and that was al it took!
Thanks fixed my lens, the plastic tabs were broken I removed them and put everything back together and it's been working fine now 🙂 lucky I guess, well see how long it lasts without the tabs on the ring. Thanks again!
Thank you !! Your tutorial youtube is very helpful for me ! I saw your youtube and have started teardown. I found my camera's problem also screw ring which was broken 2 tiny taps. I fixed ring how used glue but only one. another thing couldn't fix. Fourtunately, my camera restarted function, taked picture. I'm very happy. Thank you again !
Took it apart about three more times, finally recognized the lens bout could not focus. Finally figured out the last band was not with the golden side up. That did it. Thank you
Can you please explain what do you mean by "last band was not with the golden side up"? I took it apart several times (I was replacing broken ring) and I was never able to make the focus work. I noticed that the focusing optical element is loose, because when I point the lens up or down it kind of focuses for a moment when the element crosses the right focal distance on its way up/down. Thank you.
Even after 5 years you've published this video, it's still helping people. You just saved me. I disassembled the lens and was having difficult to put it all together again. Especially in the last part where everything fits together in only one way. Thanks to your tips I did it. Thanks a lot!
For those who have sand stuck under the focus ring, here is what to do after having removed the barrel from the inner part following Arthur's instruction:
1. Remove the little sticker ring of the rim of the focus ring, revealing three little holes and the plastic lock-ring it sits on.
2. On this inner lock ring there is a 1cm piece which is a little more flexible. There should be a little gap to the left and right of it
3. Align one of the three holes of the focus ring with the left gap of the inner lock-ring, and use a small flat head-screw driver to lock the two in position. Then twist counter clockwise on focus ring for about 1cm
@@penyamarbella Was a pleasure to help :) ! Glad you managed to fix it.

You literally saved my night and week. I dropped my camera and thought there wouldn't be any chance to repair it. Apparently I was wrong, I managed to repair it, thank you so much!
Thank you very much.
I was able to repair the lens that I thought was irreversible.
The complexity of the plastic channels to make everything work with one motor is amazing.

can you dm me how did you fix it my camera wont read my lens anymore and the focus ring wont stop spinning when I turn it either
Mine has the same problem but it wont come off how did you get it to come off?
Dropped mine in the too!

Good luck in everything!!!
have tried fixing yourself and is working ?
fixed my lens in 1hour and 30mins. Thank you very much
Nice work!
The only Sony lens disassembly video that's worth watching! This was incredibly helpful!!!
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart and POCKET!
My name is James, and I am the father on our channel (Keeping It Reyes)
Long story short, I dropped my a6000 while it was on, causing the telescopic lens to bend awkwardly.
OMG you are an absolute legend!!!
took me 3 hours but my lens is now better then ever
thank you so much
You did me a huge favor with this video. Got mine working again in just 10 minutes thanks to you.
@Ashley Fontaine nope, mine was a simple rust on the cable, I just disassembled the first part of the lens
Everyone hates on the kit lens but when you see all that is going on inside you realise that it is a lot of kit for a small price point.
William Bond it's not a bad lens. On par with other kit lenses
cheap crap lens! what ur guy talking about a lens that breaks easily with a tear drop! doesn't matter what goes inside if it lacks in quality build!
I've seen inside. I got even more disappointed. The whole thing is cheap plastic and those flat cables break by just looking at them!!
They suck since they break easily with a little knock. My kit lens was ruined too after I accidentally knocked it on table side
I watched your video years ago when my kit lens first broke. I had to watch it again today. Thanks again!
Arthur, thanks a lot for publishing this video, I succeeded to repair my lens; without your video it would have been mission impossible !
I want to say that this toturial help me out a lot. However, if you have never glued anything in your life, this will be challenging. I have a lot of experience in using super glue and it was not easy. This vid showed me the right way to put everything in place. Great vid and thanks.
Thank you, just fixed my lense with your instructions (exactly that same problem with the tab as in the video). Feels very rewarding.
Thank you so much!
I had the EXACT same problem! That little tab broke off.
Glue is hardening right now. Reassembly will be FUN...
Place the camera in front of you, or between your hands to avoid the hand in the view (3:55).
Yeah, I’m having a bad time trying to do same the video :(
THANK YOU!! I was able to fix my lens after watching this video. Well done!!!
Wow, thank you, I just saved my lens. I droped it while already turned off from 10cm off the ground and I also broke that tiny piece. I didn't glue it and put everything back into place and it works perfectly. Thank you so much! You have a new subscriber ;)
Ps: I realized that this was a common issue in this lens so I just ordered two of those pieces that got broken. They cost me 2.3€ both, so now I have spares, just in case!
Can u pls provide the part name ,part code or something to search to get that part .....I'm facing issues where the lens restarts and switches around many f values and then at last shows 2 lines instead of the numbers in that slot of f value ......I tried different emount lens and they all work perfectly fine on the Sony alpha 5000L ...so I guess its the kit lens issue ...I tried reseting everything and upgrading downgrading and all things related to software ....now I have to go deeper into the lens and I hope I fall into the 90% case and its not something I can't repair myself .......
you saved me. I just successfully repaired my lens. thanks a lot.
You are the best man, I watched like 5 videos before this one and they all had no clue or didnt explain, you saved the day for me! love you man
Clearest video about this, Thanks!
I’ll join the chant! Fixed my moms lens. Nice additional surprise for her birthday later this month.
Mission accomplished, lens fixed for $7 bucks for the ring and 2 hours, thanks for the video it would be much much harder without it
where did you get the ring??

My zoom ring is stuck after dropping while on tripod and even after taking the 4 screws out the lens barrel doesn't move. I can't move past the step of removing the zoom ring and lens barrel. Any tip?
Where did you get the ring?
Thank you very much for your video.
I bought a camera with a broken lens, disassembled it and really the problem turned out to be a broken plastic shit
... :D
I stuck these 2 fixings with glue + soda, undermined them and everything works well. But I still plan to order this part and replace it.
Thanks again!
Thank you so much for you help dude. My lens wasn't broken, but it was deffinitely stuck... You saved me so much money! thank you
i didn't found my missing part so i glued a piece of plastic form a pen. Seems to work so far. THX for the tutorial!
fantastic video man, very easy to follow. You saved me from buying another lens. Thank You
Thank you for saving me a lot of money! This tutorial saved my kit lens after a drop!!!!
Fantastic tutorial, there were others I found on this job but none of them nearly as good as yours. Fixed my lens 👍
took 4 attempts but finally got it. It makes me appreciate my camera and the complexity more. i bought a new ring and suprised that a little $6 piece can total out a $130 lense.
Where did you find the ring??

Thanks a lot mate! You saved my lens! I fall on it during the first day of my trip and I had to make pictures with my smartphone.... Thanks to your tutorial I was able to fix it! We will see on long term (on of the attach on the ring is broken) but lens go in and out; zoom and focus now! Cheers!
OMG!! so many things are there in this tiny lens... Great tutorial.
This was very helpful and clear to understand and see! My camera is saying that the lens isn't recognized after I dropped it. The lens won't move in or out. Hopefully I can fix it later with the help of this video! Thank you
Thanks for helping me, i almost gave up till i found your video, THANKS✨
Although this tutorial did not fix my kit lens, I appreciate this upload. :)
Mr. Arthur, you sir, A Legend!
Thank you for this!!!!! I finally repaired my lens i'm so happy
Wow is amazing how much of technology is in that beautiful and useful lens! Congrats!
Excellent tutorial!! I fixed mine and now is working good!. thanks a lot man!
Though I wasn´t able to glue the broken piece back to the inner ring, it now seems to be working without it :-)
Wow! Hats off to you for doing this...def not for the faint of heart. Fascinating!
Men you are a world hero!
I think this "show 'n tell" is a little gem... Thanks !
Thank you for this video gave me the confidence to take it apart, put it back together and it works again....... that's what matters.... I think mine was just jammed or stuck but now it moves freely like a supposed to. THANK you
Thank you for the guidance. It took a while but finally got the lens working like it is supposed to. Much appreciated.
I just fixed my lens... thanks mate ! You saved me money !!!
@Ashley Fontaine Hi, here >> www.ebay.com/itm/2x-Lens-Bayonet-Mount-Ring-Black-Circle-for-Sony-SELP-16-50mm-E-mount-Camera/352601681479?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649
Thank you soooooo much!!!!!! I thought my lens was done when I dropped it, but I managed to fix it!!!!
Thank you very much. I am from Colombia. I was able to repair my lens thanks to your help.
Thanks man! This really helped out. Whilst on holiday in Italy my wife broke the camera. Wanting to continue shooting with it I bought a miniature screwdriver and some glue and that was al it took!
Man you are amazing I have just fixed my sony lens paying about 4.5 euros for the ring! Great video!
I would not believe that after my disassembly gluing and assembly back it could work. And it does!!!😀 thank you very much for this helpfull video!!
Nice video! Helped me a lot in fixing my kit lens after my daughter dropped it. Thank you!
Thanks fixed my lens, the plastic tabs were broken I removed them and put everything back together and it's been working fine now 🙂 lucky I guess, well see how long it lasts without the tabs on the ring. Thanks again!
Wow, thank you. This is the best video. Thanks for sharing out the details.
Professional explanation video.
Thanks for your tips I did it. Thanks a lot! ....after 6 years !
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! My lens worked again!
Awesome dude.
Bought the parts from Aliexpress and all works perfectly.
Cheers!!!!
Thank you. I had a same problem . i repaired my own 16-50 buddy along.. WoW Many thanks... Superb video..
Amazing! I saved about $60. Thank you so much!
Thank you.
@@randomtravelerjournal Same issue. Did you ever figure it out?
@@richardscmatt unfortunately no :/
@@randomtravelerjournal Bummer. Thanks for the reply.
I have the same issue. What do you mean by "last band was not with the golden side up?
Thanks! I had exactly this problem. Following the instruction made it possible to fix the lens. Very greatful:)
