To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.
I'm SO GLAD I've found your channel you have inspired me and help me more than you know. Its also good to know You're a fellow Texas native! Keep up the good work :)
Hi, can you advise and give me details of gimbal and flash light? Please. Also what you recommend to get better nice video with filters? Which ones gives you better look. Thanks
This video was super helpful ! Thank you so so much! I will for sure buy a couple of these things very soon !! I’m doing photography so I’m super excited !
If you buy that SD-Card smaller than 64GB you won't be able to record in XAVC-S because the 32GB variant is SDHC and the 64GB variant is SDXC. I'm not sure how important XAVC-S is, because I don't make much videos. But it's at least worth mentioning!
XAVC-S is the only Codec that allows a higher bitrate (50Mb/s) which gives more information in movement and shadows, rendering sharper and clearer images in those aspects. It's also capable of recording 60p(progressive) fps. Quick note: it saves the files in a .mp4 format, or wrapper, which may make people think that it has no difference, but it surely does.
So ?. Going on a trip to New York and was wondering how you carry the a6000 and lenses around all day. Do you use a backpack or what would you suggest or have had the best luck with? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
I want to ask... Which lens can be used for full photo? Means the lens which capture all photo content.. Neither blow the back nor capture any particular thing?
Everybody talks about the compactness of the A6000, which is very correct. The negative is that I am 6’5” and have big hands, can palm a basketball with my left or right hand. I really can’t hold the A6000 without my fingers changing the buttons or getting in the way. So I went with a quick mount for mounting on a rail. The handle was round PVC, some nuts and bolts for mounting. Then wrapped the PVC with nick cork handlebar tape. I went with a bigger diameter for my big hands. Gives me a very solid grip. I have even integrated remote triggers into the PVC.
Great videos. Thanks! I am looking at picking up an a6000 as a second camera to my HEAVY Pentax dslr. I am doing this to go light and small. My question is about lenses. Specifically, is there a list of lenses that are corrected in-camera (distortion, etc.) I am considering several non-sony's: Sigma 19mm f2.8, Tamron 24mm f2.8. Right now, I don't intend to post-process. I just want to take advantage of the in-camera compensation of jpeg's. Favorite photos are scenery, historic buildings, travel. I have also considered Viltrox 23mm f1.4. (too big/heavy), and Sony 28mm f2 (not sure that I'd like the 28mm (42 EQV). Again, think I want light and compact. (Note: I have apsc 35(50) and 50(75) with the Pentax.) How can I find the lenses that are corrected in-a6000. Certain firmware versions? Thanks. Joe W.
I carry two batteries around with me but because of problems with resetting the gimbal each time which I am not very good at, whilst doing a lot of filming I recharge the battery from a power bank. I find by the time it has cooled down, it has got a bit more charge in it.
Can you please tell me which of the A6000 bundles you would recommend for someone new to using anything other than a point and shoot camera? I wish to spend mo more than $800 but right now with so many sales there are many camera and bundle packages to choose from.So aside from the more expensive individually sold accessories you mentioned above which basic accessory bundle should I get? Thanks so much
Good job as always... I like a monopod and have downsized the pod that I use for my heavier Canon DSLR gear. The pod I chose is (believe it or not!) the Amazon Basics Graphite Monopod... At under $50 and under one pound in weight, it is a great combination; ESPECIALLY with a L bracket on my camera. My generic Arca Compatible L bracket costs under fifteen dollars, fits very well and works great shifting from vertical to horizontal (works great on a tripod also).
Question! I had a Sony a5000 which I recently sold for the 6000..I had to sell the prime lens with it but I do have a Sony E 30mm f3.5 Macro lens (This compliments a telephoto which I have also) am I correct in saying this will make for a good prime for the time being while I save for another lens..I love macro but also the landscape and environment so to have one lens that accomplishes both (without carrying my extra lens) is really ideal.
I need to get an A6000 first. But the tripod and the gimbal would be nice to have. I bought a cheap Nex 3 to have a go at astrophotography and the one accessory I like is the dummy battery I got for it on Amazon for £16.
I got the a6000 last year and do enjoy it. I may upgrade to a6500 sometime in the future, mainly because IBIS and 4k. So if you record a lot of video you might want to get the a6500, but otherwise the a6000 is great, especially paired with the Sigma 30mm 1.4 dc dn :)
No. Not a good choice. December 31 2017 was last day to buy it. Definitely would not buy anything older than 2 years. You have to have everything latest and newest to get great shots. I even change lens cap in every 2 years..
Kutkis you must be really ignorant to say something like that. No equipment regardless how expensive will make you do some good shoots... it's just a tool, your brain and your eyes making the photo
Thanks guys, I've had my a6000 for almost two years now and mostly shoot video... I enjoy this camera very much, a great camera at it's price point, love the auto focus on this camera... also I'm a fan of the aps-c/super 35 sensor, good quality and the 1.5 crop factor gives the zoom reach I like... Oh yea, Jess is so pretty... Thx, Moses...
Great video! Just picked up a very light used A6000 with the kit lens for $450. Very very pleased with the image quality so far. Great camera. I will be getting into video with it soon. Your tripod looks like a must have so I think I'll start there.
What is the difference between SD and Micro SD? For example the one in the description and some like SanDisk 128 extreme, the One UHS-I, U3, V30 etc etc
Question. I just bought the Sony tripod, and the Meike flash. I found out while on the tripod, the flash won't work. Is there a way to get it to work while it's on the tripod?
DO then in editing i would have to Sync my audio Yes? I use Adobe Premier Pro and ive tried other way of syncing audio and it just never does it right. is there any tips?
Cool accessories... I got the battery pack one week after I got my camera... and for the flashes... I'm thinking on getting the Godox AD200, have you done any review or test shots with this light? I would love to hear from you about it....
I love my Alpha 6000 and think about recording vlogs. As you may know there is the problem with the display. I don’t see what I’m recording when I’m recording myself. Do you have any idea how to solve that problem?
What....no camera bag? Where do you stuff your lenses when out on a shoot? I have several primes that I use (and switch often), so I must have a bag/case for the accessories....when the accessories become an accessory.
Can you do a video balancing the A6000 on the gimble? My bf has the same one and kind of struggles getting it right. I have a project coming up and my professor only allows stable shots, so if I borrow the gimble, I'd like to know how to do it. Thanks!
I would say that something that may complement you list is a remote shutter. Depending on the type of photography they can be very convenient. From your list, I think that there are probably better tripods out in the market more photo oriented, maybe the last line of Vanguard is a good choice.
see Matt Grainger for a review of current Nikon-Sony autofocus adaptors. They work OK but not as good as native. Canon-Sony should be better but not tried it. It will depend on your adaptor, your lens and the light. They are not extension tubes in the sense that they don't allow macro focus, they just adjust for the flange distance and will focus to infinity. They are not cheap and not justifiable unless you have regular need to use DSLR lenses. Manual focus is fine for anything except fast moving subjects, and dumb adaptors are just a few dollars.
I use this one. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0734P18QJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I bought it both because I wanted the two battery capability, and at the time I was taking many shots of my son's basketball games, almost all in vertical orientation. The grip works well and as a bonus has an RF remote trigger which works well. I've had problems with the Sony infrared remote in bright sunlight.
Great accessories! I was happy with my tripod, but I see the benefits of have the controls off the camera. The flash will probably be the first thing I purchase. I have the same gimbal and must say I love the great shots that be taken with it.
Holy cow! hahah thanks dude! I just recently got into photography and I'm soon picking up an a6000, your videos have really helped me to get to know more about it and everything, so keep up the good work! 👍🏽
I bought a 22.000 mah powerbank on Amazon, and will get a 2nd soon. It has 3 USB ports and has a pretty good output. I always have that in my bag and at least one of my dual chargers, so I can charge batteries on the go, since I have both the a6000 and a7 when I go out, and a total of 7 batteries.
The absolute best accessory for these cams are lens adapters to adapt old film lenses. Virtually almost any old lens can adapt to Sony's e-mount and the best part is how cheap you can find these lenses. An old 50mm f1.8? yep in a thrift store for $10! It's like finding treasure.
what adaptor do u use ? obviosly the autofocu wont be good or even work but i have anamorphic lens , he Arthur do SLR Anamorphic Lens review and let me get the extra one the send you! Pleaaaaaassee lol ...but i promise you will get the most watch time and subs if you jump into this confusing, badass, artsy, expensive, cheap, real, fake,ANAMORPHIC WORLD that is blowing up right now !
Blitzcreeg All sorts of adapters with manual focusing only as most film lenses are not AF. Canon FD, Minolta SR, Nikon F, Pentax K, M42...etc. The thing is to make sure these lenses are still in OK condition due to their age.
Hi Arthur, I watch your episodes on the channel with great pleasure. Thank you for paying a lot of attention to the old Sony A6000 camera, it is a camera with great possibilities for taking photos and videos, I have Sony A6500 and A6400 cameras, but I still take great pleasure in shooting with the A6000. I have a question for you, in all your shootings your wife is the main model, please tell me, she always agrees to be shooting, no problem?
Awesome list, TechMaf! I'm still debating between that Sony tripod you mentioned and the Magnus VT-4000. I may end up getting both. I've just got some reaaallllly old flimsy tripods that I use for now, which were hand-me-downs from my dad from years ago. I know I desperately need something new, though. Glad I watched this video today, because now I'm going to go re-watch your full review of this Sony tripod to see if I just want to grab this one now, and maybe the other one later as a secondary tripod.
Very nice list. I have to get those extension tubes they look pretty neat from the review you did on them! I personally use the Godox TT350s which I love for flash, all comes down to preference I think
A SanDisk extreme pro for the a6000 in particular is overkill because it doesn't support UHS-II, so you'll pay more for something that you don't make use of.
I'm here getting a nearly new zhiyun crane 2 with the focus servo and a monopod, to use initially with a Nikon D7500 but I have seen a second hand Sony that I might get for it, why I'm here, looking into it.

bro what, why are you posting this here lol
really nice video 🤙🏼
Thanks Arthur for all these videos. You are an amazing man.
You have banding in your video. The shutter speed is not matching the rooms light refresh rate. Are you using the a73 in silent shutter mode?
Technpix I was gonna say the same thing
yup
If you are recording video , basically you are using silient mode.... BCS the camera doesn't use the shutter
Hey there. I just bought the 35mm lens and 2 accessories using your links. Thanks so much for all the info and for all the work you do.
Thank you so much for the support! Very appreciated.
I just got A6000 few days ago and wanted to extend my knowledge to photography. This video helped me a lot! Thank you!
Hey do you recommend it?
How can I protect 50 mm lense. Does hood really work?
I'm SO GLAD I've found your channel you have inspired me and help me more than you know. Its also good to know You're a fellow Texas native! Keep up the good work :)
You don't use battery grips for a6000? Is it convenient?
Do you have an updated list for 2019?
Do a6000 use mc11 + sigma 1750 f2.8 ?
Hi, can you advise and give me details of gimbal and flash light? Please. Also what you recommend to get better nice video with filters? Which ones gives you better look. Thanks
I just purchased the tripod today based on your review! Cant wait to use it with my a6000
Arthur, what gimbal would you recommend?
Scorp C or Crane 2 or Crane m3?
Any chance of using 3.5 mm to micro USB adapter for external mic and put to side micro USB slot of A6000 body?
You are absolutely fantastic my friend. Thank You!!!!!
This video was super helpful ! Thank you so so much! I will for sure buy a couple of these things very soon !! I’m doing photography so I’m super excited !
did anything chanse , ore is it still the same setup ?
Good list and like always... a very nice presentation 👍🏻
Any suggestions for a remote shutter that you could use with a selfie stick? Or even better, a combo of those two :)
Can you please help me set up my flash for my a6000. I got the same flash and camera as you but I’m stuck on how to work it. Please help.
Seiko Sarb?? What watch are you rocking?

So glad I came across this video! Really helped me out in what to get for my Sony a6000. Great video, all the best 😊
For the Meike external flash, if you put in rechargeable batteries, you can charge them in body through the micro-usb port. Amazing!
So ?. Going on a trip to New York and was wondering how you carry the a6000 and lenses around all day. Do you use a backpack or what would you suggest or have had the best luck with? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

hi, about the gimbal is it possible to mount the sony a6000 with batterygrip in the gimbal?
do you know if ther is a remote to controle the shutter and the diafragma? It would really help me out.

Any other recommendation less cost than Gimbal?
I've never noticed those refresh rate stipes. Did you change your video record settings? Perhaps the lights?
Awesome man congrats on to bigger things best of luck and I subscribed to your channel
great video. Please how do you connect the Audio Recorder in the Sony A6000 cam ?
Will this remote operate the power zoom function of an A6400 with the 18-105 PZ lens attached?
Do these lenses work well with just photography?

I like the Meike Flash, another highlight it's that you keep pressed the power button and a continuous led light turns on! 👏
I love my Peak Design wrist strap. Great list. Thank you.
can you please tell me which tripod is good for sony a6500 53 to 135 mm lens
waiting for ure reply
Thanks for those tips. What focal length extender (or x2 teleconverter) would you recommend?
Great! Thank you for sharing all this useful information :)
still recomended the Meike flash after almost 1 year? or better flash came out for the A6000?
Nice, tripod with video control - that's the best accessory in this list for me. THX for this video
Love your video montages. Quick question is buying A6000 in 2018 is a good choice?
pradumn kumar if your budget is higher go for the a6500 (skip the 6300). If your budget is lower, go for the a6000
I got the a6000 last year and do enjoy it. I may upgrade to a6500 sometime in the future, mainly because IBIS and 4k. So if you record a lot of video you might want to get the a6500, but otherwise the a6000 is great, especially paired with the Sigma 30mm 1.4 dc dn :)
pradumn kumar I bought my a6000 last February. No regrets at all. Here are samples of my pictures.

No. Not a good choice. December 31 2017 was last day to buy it. Definitely would not buy anything older than 2 years. You have to have everything latest and newest to get great shots. I even change lens cap in every 2 years..
Kutkis you must be really ignorant to say something like that. No equipment regardless how expensive will make you do some good shoots... it's just a tool, your brain and your eyes making the photo
which camera did you use for this video? there is a lot of banding .
How long does it take to charge the battery? and how long does the battery work just for how long? thanks for the answer
Where can I find the Sony Remote you have on the tripod? What is the Model or part number?
I'm looking to buy a Sony camera and am on a budget. Is the A6500 really worth the $300 more than the A6300 especially if I am going to buy a gimbal?
Sony batteries provide drain/level status. Do the batts youre recommending do that?
Thanks guys, I've had my a6000 for almost two years now and mostly shoot video... I enjoy this camera very much, a great camera at it's price point, love the auto focus on this camera... also I'm a fan of the aps-c/super 35 sensor, good quality and
the 1.5 crop factor gives the zoom reach I like... Oh yea, Jess is so pretty... Thx, Moses...
Any chance of you reviewing the Sony Zeiss FE 16-35mm f4?
Great video! Just picked up a very light used A6000 with the kit lens for $450. Very very pleased with the image quality so far. Great camera. I will be getting into video with it soon. Your tripod looks like a must have so I think I'll start there.

I would love a zihyun crane, however that price tag is just too steep. Are there any lower priced gimbals that you would recommend.
That tripod remort.. Is it compatible with a7iii as well?
I love my Alpha 6000 and think about recording vlogs. As you may know there is the problem with the display. I don’t see what I’m recording when I’m recording myself. Do you have any idea how to solve that problem?
Can you remove the remote for the tripod? Or what option would you recommend for taking photos if no one is present?
yes you can remove the remote from the tripod
What about a battery grip ?
Im planning to get a6000 ...What do you think about evf of a6000... i Heard its bad & tiny...
Hey! Where can I find your picture samples made on this camera ?
You helped me so much with my a6000 thanks man love the vids
does this tripod have angle scales for horizontal and vertical settings?
You nailed again buddy
I'm happy for your video, I'm from Africa and wishes to get all those accessories for my Sony a6000.
How do you use the external recorder when there is no external mic connector in n the a6000? I have the h5 btw.
I'm getting the same weird dark, blurry horizontal stripes you are getting with this video. Any idea what it is caused by?
What....no camera bag? Where do you stuff your lenses when out on a shoot? I have several primes that I use (and switch often), so I must have a bag/case for the accessories....when the accessories become an accessory.
I have those ravpower batteries....did you have any issues with them not charging after a few months?
Can you do a video balancing the A6000 on the gimble? My bf has the same one and kind of struggles getting it right. I have a project coming up and my professor only allows stable shots, so if I borrow the gimble, I'd like to know how to do it. Thanks!

What about a vertical battery grip? Would you recommend it for vertical shots and extended battery life? I'm looking at the Meike MK-A6300 Pro.
Great accessories! I was happy with my tripod, but I see the benefits of have the controls off the camera. The flash will probably be the first thing I purchase. I have the same gimbal and must say I love the great shots that be taken with it.
quite helpful, thanks a lot. But I didnt really understand much abt the gimbal
Your videos are really helpful. Thanks you!
Tripod is really good, thanks for the list
Hey, could you tell me how many batteries do you need to go through a full day of use with the a6000?
1 every two hours, so a lot.
Holy cow! hahah thanks dude!

Blitzcreeg All sorts of adapters with manual focusing only as most film lenses are not AF. Canon FD, Minolta SR, Nikon F, Pentax K, M42...etc. The thing is to make sure these lenses are still in OK condition due to their age.
Can you show us how to set up the audio accessories?
Awesome Channel! Very informative and straightforward which I like!
Good list, good advice. Does the Meike mk320 support HSS?
Hi Arthur, I watch your episodes on the channel with great pleasure. Thank you for paying a lot of attention to the old Sony A6000 camera, it is a camera with great possibilities for taking photos and videos, I have Sony A6500 and A6400 cameras, but I still take great pleasure in shooting with the A6000.
I have a question for you, in all your shootings your wife is the main model, please tell me, she always agrees to be shooting, no problem?
Hello ! Can A6500 handle UHS2 ? I don't think... Thanks anyway for the video. A power bank to charge your battery is important too !
Does the camera over heat 🔥 on video shooting
The a6000 does, yes. The new A6400 however doesnt overheat after 1.5 hours+.
I'm loved this camera a6000 and this is only upto my budget and still do you recommend or any others please
I'm here getting a nearly new zhiyun crane 2 with the focus servo and a monopod, to use initially with a Nikon D7500 but I have seen a second hand Sony that I might get for it, why I'm here, looking into it.
