Thanks for this - I tried this mod on mine and works flawlessly- just make sure to pay attention to where you drill the hole - TIP - cut the ON/OFF toggle label with tin snips and use that as a template for marking the 12mm hole - one draw back I noticed is that you cannot directly set the spool speed on the mp200 instead you have to change all the settings and gas to like cr25 to approximate
Anyway to get a little more information? I assume you're taking the power from the board that powers the wire feed motor and using that as the primary power to the DPDT switch? Then one side of the switch is going back to the wire feed motor and the other side is going to the spool gun?
Hi I got the YesWelder MP200 for my husband and the spool gun upgrade because he want to do alluminium but he does not speak english so would it be possible to have a plan of how to connect the wire to help him.
I didn't want to modify my welder but I just might ... I also want to take a wire out to quickly switch polarity for the gun instead of the screws inside. Also any chance you have / can make a diagram?
How do I get in direct contact with you to obtain directions and/or a diagram to make this upgrade modification? We are new to welding, so we don’t know the inner workings well enough to know what to tap into. Not sure how to share contact info without it being public to all. Thanks!
@@stegallmetalworx awesome. I just ordered all my parts. Can’t wait to get this set up myself. Can you share a wiring diagram? I think I can see we’ll enough in the video, but would like to be sure. Thx.
could you do a 1 year later review?

Yes that's exactly what I did be very careful
@@stegallmetalworx Thanks for helping me setup this little mod, however what do you guys mean but setting things to CR25?
Got a link for the lead connector?
Need to have ac/dc tig with pedal and spool gun then it would be the ultimate diy machine.
Would be awesome and I'm sure it'll fly off the shelves
Well I'll Be 🤩

Yes
Want to try Arccaptain Machine?
Yeah I'll give it a try here's my email stegallmetalworx@gmail.com

Do you have a link for the Amazon connector lead?
Did you ever get it dialed in? What are your settings?
How has the mod been holding up? I'm looking to do the same thing.
Can you do a more detailed video. My mp200 should be here end of March and this looks like something I want to do
Just message me whenever your ready and I'll be more happy to help you through it
NICE!!! 👍
Any conversion for the TIG
The machine doesn't have AC capability
You could DC tig but you need 100% helium

Im looking at doing the same mod. If i wanted to do it more budget friendly are there other spool gun options. Yeswelders is $190
Unfortunately I haven't been able to find one that only has a two-wire plug that controls the trigger most of them are 4 wire or more
Do you have part numbers to parts you used?
Thanks for your contribution. Were you still using C25 gas?
No pure argon
That much is a dc machine only
why can't you run aluminum from the factory spool?
a good question! is there anything stopping you from just swapping out the spool since the wiring you are doing is just for the spool drive
Aluminum is soft and can jam up in the liner. That's why they put the spool at the gun to keep it a shorter run.
man, that bad boy is packed! what is your interpretation on the stick function, on the 60xx rods, does the ground go to positive?
How can I get details on where you tapped into? Is it just the spool drive motor?
Yes it is just the spool drive motor
Does the factory 2-pin connector still function after this mod, or do you have to use the new connection when using the standard MIG torch?
No it still works just fine
