I get it, I didn't have a crush on her but felt very drawn to her character on ER. Maura has a 'salt of the Earth' appeal. Her portrayal of Abby Lockhart inspired me to become a physician's assistant!!

My point is that while most people operate on the m.o. of not making anything or anyone uncomfortable, society sometimes needs someone to step up and do exactly that. And I think Maura's descriptions of Joe over the years seem to acknowledge that.

He's consistently taking steroids to enhance his natural strength stamina and sexual appetite. That can be good or bad for his wife.
