- Part 4 We will be replacing the rear thermostat / Water Valve. This is step by step video on how the cooling system should be serviced at 150,000 miles.
Part 5 We will begin to replace a couple of the cooling system hoses with after market parts.
Thank you for those part numbers. Very much appreciated.
At what part does he mention the part number? I can't find that portion of the video
I have a leak from that same hose, haven’t taken off the intake yet. It’s gushing water when cold and idle, but I was able to drive it for about 30 minutes and no overheating at all. I plan on changing all the gaskets for the intake and valve cover gaskets. It was running cold prior to the overheat. The radiator is less than a yr old should I swap it out since it’s still under warranty or keep it?
Did you use import green coolant when that radiator was changed out? Mixing normal Prestone green coolant with import green will causes microscopic clogging. I don't normally change radiators out unless they are clogged, leaking, or a majority of fins are damaged.

can you change the front thermostat not not the rear thermostat. i notice my qx4 température gauges goes slightly up to H when im waiting for a long time
You can change the front thermostat only sure, but if the rear thermostat (water control valve) is stuck shut you will still have an over heating situation. If it has over 150k miles you might want to do both to make sure it runs at the temp it was designed to.

@@KNKRNR as a first timer , is it a hard thing to do myself ? i bet scared but then again i am confident i can do it by being extra cautious. a mechanic charging close to 900 to replace just that one

Hi, great job man . Question when pulling out the injector fuel rail how did you pull it out cause mine is giving me hard time, and the thermostat do you have to put rtv to prevent leaks.
You really just have to pry it out slowly and make sure you don’t lose any of the o-rings from the injectors, it took me several tries before I was successful
