You cannot really speak ancient greek. We know how it might have sounded because of literature and it is similar to modern greek in many ways, but I don't think you could find anyone that could translate the whole movie and then speak in ancient Greek for two hours. It's extremely hard and it will probably be imprecise.
Franci that’s not really right. they are clearly related, if you are fluent in modern Greek you can sort of figure out ancient Greek and recognize some words. it’s not the same language but it’s similar to the relationship between modern English and Middle english

The American accent, with the more guttural sound, especially with the 'r' bears resemblance to characteristics in Irish accents, but is a congolmeration of many other accents by emigrated Europeans, like for example Dutch, German, even Spanish traces (even though you'd find only the slightest traces of it nowadays, barely discernable for most ears). John Smith, however was from London and given that he was a sailor/soldier he would have been from the East End dock land area. He would have spoken with a heavy Cockney accent. Kaysa Øyan Maybe to you, but that might be because you’re a native speaker. My native language is English, while also knowing Italian, but for some reason, Norwegian culture and its language really appeal to me, and as such, I began learning it at the start of the year. It’s the nicest of the Germanic languages, in my opinion; not as coarse as German, abrupt and non-phonetic as Danish, nor overly tonal like Swedish. It’s a lovely thing to hear, and on par with the likes of Greek, in my book.
This is not how you ask a question in French: you would have to say something like “Voulez-vous coucher avec moi?” if you would use Mr or Ms to talk to that person. If not, you would have to say “Veux-tu coucher avec moi?”. Just saying.
linnea cederqvist yeah. I have a hard time understanding why Sweden is the most popular Scandinavian country. IMO It's the most boring one of them all.
Derek Bryceson Right!!! It's always cold and most of the people are so fucking boring! I wouldn't wanna live in any Scandinavian country tbh cos they all suck. When I turn 20 im gonna move as fast as I can😒 Believe me Sweden sucks
Oh, you're from Sweden? No offence meant to you or your country. What I meant, is that ofc Sweden has some good things about it, but I personally find Sweden to be the most boring out of the bunch. I personally have nothing against the cold, I usually sleep in minus degrees actually :P But I do think that the culture and language in other Scandinavian countries are more unique and interesting. Danish sounds very happy. Finnish sounds kinda exotic. Norwegian sounds like singing. My description of Icelandic would probably be biased since I'm Icelandic. And Swedish just sounds like a dull mixture of them all to me. Anyways, hope you have a nice day/night :)
Just letting it out here: according to mainly everyone, Frozen was the first movie to tell people that princesses don't need a prince to save them. Uhh hello? Brave has no Prince whatsoever.
to me Mula is the prince of the story...I mean yes yes there is an "actual" prince but Mulan wants to be a guy? We could be talking genderqueer/fluid/Transsex/-gender/... here sooo
Which is disapointing in my opinion. If you want to portray a British person (in an English spoken film), use a British voice actor. Or take lessons to get a British accent. But that could be difficult....Gibsons Scottish accent wasn't that good either, lol.
Zayla Kelis my brother and I were talking about this (were from the carribean) I think an African princess would be a beautiful movie because of the culture and dances. I’d love to see a princess speak Amharic or Swahili
Maybe disney could make a trick film about the italian fairytale princess Fantaghiro (but with a better end). Then a italian Disney princess would exist, too.
+Tabassum Tarafder Aladdin is a story from the Arabian Queen shaharazads book Called "One thousand and one night " Aladddin is an arabian boor man fall in love with Badr Al-Bodor Disney change the princess name to Jasmine and added another story to it from the same book called "Ali-Baba and the cave of Gold" sorry for my bad English
German, Norwegian, and Danish were my favorite. I study alot of the Germanic languages, including Old English and Dutch, and so it feels very comfortable and familiar
Love watching Frozen in it's true language. I am Dutch and understand German, but Norwegian is something else and still very understandable. Maybe I'll try the Danish Ariel, although I am a huge fan of Jodi.
RaxxTV because as Arabs grew up to watching Disney cartoons in Egyptian dialect and in this vid it’s in the formal Arabic that isn’t used in the daily life just in school .. so it felt cringe to see it in a way we are not used to it
Serene B. Yahya some like it in formal some in Egyptian it’s normal to have different views of a thing But I think there are more Egyptian lovers rather than in it formal Arabic because of when Disney started to put the cartoons in formal Arabic there was a campaign to change it and remake it in Egyptian dialect
Kristoff is actually a Sami (an indigenous Finno-Ugric people inhabiting the Arctic area of Norway, Sweden, Finland). Reindeer husbandry is important part of Sami culture and that is why Kristoff aswell has a reindeer companion. Sami people speak Sami languages (not related to Scandinavian languages such as Norwegian or Swedish) but since it is so small language group Disney movies are not dubbed in Sami, so we have to go with Norwegian Kristoff even though it's inaccurate..

No, it actually is him. He dubbed for Li Shang in all the Chinese dubs. He also sang the promo video for the movie.

You should hear Mulan in Cantonese

Yea lol 😂😂😂
I honestly didn't think Prince Philip can get any HOTTER. Draw me like one of your French girls Philip!!! Vous voulez coucher avec moi!!!
Oh and I always found Shang attractive, but now that I know Jackie Chan voice him, I can never unsee that.
This is not how you ask a question in French: you would have to say something like “Voulez-vous coucher avec moi?” if you would use Mr or Ms to talk to that person. If not, you would have to say “Veux-tu coucher avec moi?”. Just saying.
Gettin' That Ass nope it ‘literally’ means “do you want to sleep with me”
Gettin' That Ass but not LITERALLY . It’s a figure of speech
Literally it's "want-you to sleep with me?"

Derek Bryceson
Yeah swedish is so boring if u compare
linnea cederqvist yeah.
I have a hard time understanding why Sweden is the most popular Scandinavian country.
IMO It's the most boring one of them all.
Derek Bryceson
Right!!! It's always cold and most of the people are so fucking boring! I wouldn't wanna live in any Scandinavian country tbh cos they all suck. When I turn 20 im gonna move as fast as I can😒
Believe me Sweden sucks
Oh, you're from Sweden? No offence meant to you or your country.
What I meant, is that ofc Sweden has some good things about it, but I personally find Sweden to be the most boring out of the bunch.
I personally have nothing against the cold, I usually sleep in minus degrees actually :P
But I do think that the culture and language in other Scandinavian countries are more unique and interesting.
Actually Mulan was the first and then you have The Princess and The Frog
Makaela A. Bowen yeah true
and Ariel saved her prince haha.
to me Mula is the prince of the story...I mean yes yes there is an "actual" prince but Mulan wants to be a guy? We could be talking genderqueer/fluid/Transsex/-gender/... here sooo
Mulan doesn't want to be a guy, she just pretend to be so she could save her father.
John Smith's was extra disappointing...
What were you expecting? He's an English settler.
I found him dissapointing because I expected British English...not American English, with him being from London and all...
Which is disapointing in my opinion. If you want to portray a British person (in an English spoken film), use a British voice actor. Or take lessons to get a British accent. But that could be difficult....Gibsons Scottish accent wasn't that good either, lol.
Denise de Prouw Isn't Gibson Australian?
jessegoodwin2635 Yes, my point exactly. He's from Great Britain. So British English

RaxxTV because as Arabs grew up to watching Disney cartoons in Egyptian dialect and in this vid it’s in the formal Arabic that isn’t used in the daily life just in school .. so it felt cringe to see it in a way we are not used to it
M A I actually I’m the opposite, I like the standard Arabic more than Egyptian
Serene B. Yahya some like it in formal some in Egyptian it’s normal to have different views of a thing
But I think there are more Egyptian lovers rather than in it formal Arabic because of when Disney started to put the cartoons in formal Arabic there was a campaign to change it and remake it in Egyptian dialect

Kristoff is Norwegian. He just happens to have a reindeer companion.
Meep Meep I love my Norwegian Kristoff 😍
