  • Hi, this is an update. I've been working on finding a solution to my BFS and leg cramps for almost a year and it seems to be 2 things that cause it and reduce it for me. I hope it helps you too.

    My twitching started in April of 2017…hasn’t stopped for a single second since.
    I’m going to give an elimination diet a try.

    The trouble with BFS is everyone has different triggers. For some people it is gluten, others it is caffeine. I was never a caffeine person. Never drank coffee, or caffeinated drinks and still got BFS. I have cut out gluten and can't say it makes a huge difference, maybe some.

    • @JamesGough1
      @JamesGough1  2 роки тому

      Hi Dave, yeah, I would't say caffeine triggered my BFS, but cutting it sure relieves the symptoms. Cutting out sugar as well helps, and alcohol. you'd be surprised at how many foods and supplements and medicines have caffeine in them, watch out for those.

    • @JamesGough1
      @JamesGough1  20 днів тому

      Yeah, I'm having a sugar episode as I type this. It is the most addictive substance on the planet that slowly kills us. I might do a video on that. Hey, good luck on your quest for a solution. The electrolytes make a 95% difference for me and the change can be as quick as an hour, but easily the same day. It is like an on/off switch with electrolytes for me, especially potassium and magnesium. Good luck, and God bless.

    I don't know how you get good rest after eating so much meat in the evening. That's a point of contention for a lot of people specially red meat. They find it difficult to go to sleep and stay asleep they tend to be up and sweaty. I sleep a lot better if I can eat just vegetables for dinner it has not been easy. Grains are also a problem

      Hi, Roberto, that's interesting you mention Keto. Do you have any tips on self testing to discover which electrolyte might be low or how to test for metabolic alkalosis or low ionized calcium? With covid at the moment doctors aren't too interest in seeing patients. Also, what was your remedy for this? How bad was your twitching? How long did you have it? Has it completely gone now? Thanks

      Thanks, I know. I lived on Morocco and ate a lot of what turned out to be sugar syrup fake honey with fatty pastries and sugar in mint tea. They appeared during that period. They did reduce a bit. Cholesterol is good for me of course. All the good research has debunked the link with heart issues and our brain his high in cholesterol - look up Ancel Keys and his dodgy research. Although, the type of fat is important. IMO animal is best, although due to getting h pylori a while back, I don't eat as much meat just now. The good greens are good for medicine in certain situations and so I now grow my own veg in my home - microgreens. That way I can be sure they are clean and pure and also 40x higher than a mature plant. It's veg oils that are causing a lot of the heart issues, again according to the research. And lectins are the problem according to the top heart surgeon Stephen Grundy. I wonder why it was named it after greek Oceanids?

    Hi! I’ve recently come across the description of this disease and it’s EXACTLY what my symptoms are! I have an appt with a Neurologist in Sept. you mentioned cramping in your legs! That’s me!!!! It feels like I ran a marathon. You’re saying electrolytes help that? Help!

    • @JamesGough1
      @JamesGough1  26 днів тому +1

      IMO it is 100% linked for me. I put up a video a few weeks ago saying the twitching had stopped, and it had, but I then had a period of high stress and my diet got bad - eating sugar and drinking caffeine - and my twitching and cramps became really bad again. So, i took 1 x mag, 1 x zinc, and a sachet of electrolytes, and things were much better within the hour, the next night the same thing and my legs were back to maybe 80% better. The third night last night and i feel great and its the second of great sleep after months of very broken sleep patterns.
      For me, the electrolytes are an on/off switch with the twitching. Re the sleep, I have known for years that ZMA is a potent solution for men who have problems sleeping at night. And that proved again for me. The difference is night and day ;-)
      The reason my diet has been so bad is that I had h pylori and it caused me quite a few digestive problems that I now have to work around and it seems to be causing me a problem to balance out my electrolytes. Interesting fact, if you go into hospital, the nurses first job is to check your electrolye levels, and that bag of liquid they might feed into your arm is mostly electrolytes.

I’m going to have to take what you took when you said it helped in an hour. I need that! I’m screenshotting your formula and will have it on hand from now on. Thank you! I’ll let you know how it goes.

    I totally agree with you.. I do drink 2 of the small cup-size coffee every day at the same cafe !! + at night usually have 1- 1.5 cups diet cola.. So, if I had the balls I'd do what you say and quit all caffeine drinks..I do have BFs either in my thigh, which then switches to same place in other thigh (tells me it IS a brain activity/but isn't everything !?)..Last 3 weeks my belly to the left of my belly button has been twitching...Then sometimes (like I'd gather most of us BFS-ers do have) It's an eyelid twitch..
    Also, I think it may have some psychological reason for its presence.. You know, how you can sort of stop it by sort of not thinking of it, or thru extreme relaxation..
    I wonder if science will ever come up with meds to stop both BFS and TINNITUS which I also have (ringing in head 24/7/365).
    btw: Those who DO have tinnitus, do note the noise is due to damage to the cilia in the cochlea. BUT the ringing is in the brain and is why they can't so far, go in and shut it off..And NOTHING sold for it, works ! NOTHING...

They should be able to treat most issues in a few treatments.
