Thank you so much Zach! I deliver a lot of Balutes!!! And trust me you are right they will let you know if there’s anything wrong. I do wish they made a light even brighter than when you use, sometimes I still have issues trying to figure out if one is fertile or not. I charge eight dollars a dozen for a jumbo. I never have any throwback on that. I do chicken volute and charge $14 a dozen and no one ever complains.
Zach, this video was right on time. I just had someone place their first Balut order earlier this week. We are doing a trial run to hopefully create more future business. You answered aloe of my questions in this video. Thanks so much for all your help!
Thank you for always being so informative!! What I’m trying to understand is how do you find new customers & what do you say? I’ve heard one person say that they found their customers at nail salons, but I wasn’t sure if that would be frowned upon, going to their jobs to ask them to buy from me. I am a bit shy/introverted so maybe it’s not that big of a deal. Would love some tips though!! 🙂
Thank you so much! Very informative. It’s great that you’re so open and honest, willing to really share to help us! When I get moved and settled again I’m going to up may process and I’m going to start with Balut. I will definitely be getting some standard quail as my jumbos are all over the place on sizes.
This was incredibly helpful!! We’re in the process of gearing up for exactly this. Thank you so much for providing such detailed information. Will be sure to let you know how it turns out!!!
Good stuff, very helpful as I am looking into possibly doing this. Question though. I've been looking all over and so far haven't been able to find much information on this aspect..the regulation. Are baluts classified differently than eggs legally/what licenses you need to sell them etc? Though of course I suppose that could vary from state to state. Thank you!
@@elkalabaw7665 this is for cleaning the egg itself not consuming it. Curious if they throw away the non developed ones but being a big farm I doubt they “consume” it lol
Have ever tried balut? What do they sell for? Does one type sell better than the other? Are they all same price? I don’t see balut much but I used to see it at the swap meet. I’m not sure what type of eggs they were but I know they weren’t quail. Either chicken or duck. Love your videos. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
@@MyshireFarm I don’t think I’m gutsy enough to try them. I can’t even process my quail. They hatched and instantly became my babies. Lol. I watch videos and thought I could do it but I was so wrong.
Sad to say, I bought an Incubright candler at Amazon that did not light up when turned on. I already emailed this issue to the company but all I got was an automated email response.
I got a reply from a certain Jason from Incubator Warehouse saying they were going to send a replacement light for the non-functioning unit….that is after Jason suggesting that I do basic/common sense trouble shooting steps. I am hoping the light is the problem and not the unit itself itself.
So, honestly I just found out there was a market for this. I had a question. I've subscribed and have been skimming through your videos. How do you find a clientele for such a thing? Not trying to sound ignorant, but do you go to Asian restaurants and nail salons. Kinda throw a bug in their ear, "hey I got this product"?
@Myshire Farm thanks guys! I've raised birds and made videos for the UA-cam on a another account. Being, never together. But, both sides are alot of work. You for be getting an order from me in the near future. Thanks bud.

First time I heard about baluts was on the tv show Fear Factor.
Hey Zack, I never heard of Balut before. I looked it up, very interesting and sounds like a good extra income.

Are baluts classified differently than eggs legally/what licenses you need to sell them etc? Though of course I suppose that could vary from state to state. Thank you!
It varies from state to state but usually they are considered eating eggs
@@MyshireFarm Good to know. Thank you!
Hi Zach, usually at what day do you pull them out of incubator? for average - most desire - size balut?
12 days
Do you clean the eggs before incubating for balut? Or just incubate and when it’s cooked it’ll be fine?
We do not clean. Once they are incubated and boiled then they will be fine
@@MyshireFarm what do you do with dud eggs?
@@HongCack dud baluts are called penoy. they're still eaten.

I have not eaten a balut. They sell for a little more than eating eggs. It all depends on your local market.
@@MyshireFarm I don’t think I’m gutsy enough to try them. I can’t even process my quail. They hatched and instantly became my babies. Lol. I watch videos and thought I could do it but I was so wrong.
Do you add 20% just in case the customers want more or just give them away for free?
20% for those that did not develop and to make sure I have enough and have some extra to try to increase the sell or we hatch them out
What’s your recommendation for free delivery on how big of an order ? Or at what amount would you charge delivery?
$20 flat rate or 100 eggs free delivery but it all depends on your market how many customers you have and how far away they are
Do you ship into Canada. Will be willing to buy in bulk.
Unfortunately we do not ship internationally at this time.
Question..what is the minimum order that you require to offer free delivery? Thank you for the great information!
It varies in distance. But usually around 500
@@MyshireFarm thank you
How many are you able to incubate at one time ?
We can incubate around 12,000 at a time every 2 weeks
I forgot about balut for a minute there.
Absolutely
Do you ship eggs to the uk ?
No I am sorry not at this time
@@MyshireFarm shame
Maybe one day
So want some quality jumbos

There is a piece of plastic between the batteries you might need to remove

Wow! a dozen regular non Balut eggs goes for $6 here. That seems so cheap for Balut.
Every market is different
It only makes sense that the buyers are reselling the eggs. This wasn’t mentioned as a possibility in the video.
I doubt it. With them being out of incubator at a critical time very unlikely they would hatch healthy
@@MyshireFarm I meant selling them as baluts to their community. You had mentioned making deliveries to a hair or nail salon so I'm guessing they sell them to their clients and their local community.
Don't tell.the Post office your not using their supplies without postage...They frown upon that
We have an agreement with them but for sure
Do you need to put eggs in an automatic turner to incubate balut? Does it matter if they're not going to hatch? Also, do you keep humidity at 30%-40%?
It is a best practice.
Incubate as if you plan to hatch them then at day 12 pull them out, candle and deliver
Umm excuse me whats a Balut ?? 🤔🤔
Fertial but unhatched eggs used for food consumption.
