This was an extremely interesting and helpful video. It had not occurred to me to stack old Canadian silver quarters, but I will be certainly looking into doing so after viewing your video. Excellent.
I just finished my first full tube of Canadian quarters. I get them at spot. I have been collecting more Canadian silver coins because my coin dealer sells them with no premium unless it’s a commemorative silver dollar. Great to diversify your sack Waze to ultimately add SILVeR To your stack.
@@totalowwnage91 Correct, I have never been able to buy junk at spot at my dealers. Only on UA-cam have I heard some people say they got them at spot. I guess that's great if you can get them that cheap.
@@totalowwnage91 The Canadian junk silver that I bought today at one of my LCS's cost 17x face. Not that cheap, but it was my first Canadian junk purchase I ever did.
They are too expensive to get on Ebay, so I have to find them at an LCS, which isn't easy because they don't usually have much Canadian junk unfortunately.
Just bought my first Canadian junk silver today, which I always wanted to get, but being from the U.S. I have only bought U.S. junk silver until now. Got a silver dollar, six halves, and ten quarters. Hope to get more in the near future, but the problem is most of the LCS's near me never have any Canadian junk, except maybe some silver dollars every once in a while. I was fortunate that one of my dealers told me he had some loose coins and some old Whitman bluebooks with quarters in them, so I picked through everything and bought some of the coins with the least wear on them.
Quarters are great, but I still love me my half dollars ;)! Great video! Also, PLEASE tell me your ring size and what U.S half dollar you want for your ring!
@@NorthCentralCoins I can't find anything that says that a half dollar is 'legal tender', so I guess I could make you a Canadian half dollar coin ring. I'll do some more research.
I can’t tell if a coin I have is silver because it’s a 1901 quarter is it silver in that year?
If it’s a 1901 Canadian quarter, it’s 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper
@@roberts1922 thanks!
Thanks, I picked some up today at my LCS. 😊take care
Got around 20 oz or so at face value🤙🏻
I just got a roll of Canadian dimes for 90 cents a piece and the older Canadian quarters and dimes have a nice price for a collector
That's a great price!

Thanks so much for watching hope you found it informative!
I have almost 100 silver Canadian quarters that are 80% silver. Always scoop up some when I get a good deal!!!🙂

How do you get them at spot?????
@@totalowwnage91
I guess it means that the dealer buys them for under spot in order to make a profit on them.
@@jzak5723 its almost impossible to buy anything at spot even if the dealer gets them under spot.

The great thing about stacking silver coins is at lease you know they won`t be melted down.
That is very true! Gotta preserve our old Coins Somehow
Some of the 1968 quarters and dimes are 50 % silver
I like them 👍
I may start keeping a eye out for them.

Us Half Dollar you can't do a Canadian :p and Probly 10/10.5

@@NorthCentralCoins I'll make it a 10.5 to be safer. I'll probably ship it out in mid-July.
I wouldn't worry too much about the legality of it
Awesome I am exited I will be wearing it in all my videos!
Great video
