- This arrogant guy got me. I was so pissed of his arrogance that I was so glad that I had the option to punch him in the face. Very satisfying indeed but he turned out to be a real jackass in act 3. This guy got beat up with a bunch of goblins and now he wants to fight the Nightsong and the Tav's group in our own camp. Aradin really wants the 5000g but I wonder what he's going to do with it.

PC: I’ll find the Nightsong
Aradin: You think you can do better? When you die, I’ll be in Baldur’s Gate.
PC: *Kills three gods and saves the world*
Punched him at the camp, took his map, gloated the Nightsong was in my camp so he would come and kill himself agaisnt her, subsequently losing my Paladin's Oath because endangering someone for fun is not very paladin like
Valid reason to break your oath
Wants to, but likes his other two with him. They leave as soon as you knock him flat.
Fun fact, you can find a tombstone in Baldur's gate with an inscription: "Aradin the Elder - open the the bloody gates".
I guess Aradin got some things from his father/grandfather, but was luckier than them. (That was until he decided to kidnap Nightsong from our camp)
I don't know where Aradin grew up, maybe at Baldur's gate but I think he knows how much money is important in this world and he knows how hard life is without it, so he isn't scared of anything for money, yet he still gave us info about that contract, told us he would stop looking out for Nightsong. But bro still wanted the money and tried to attack her in our camp, bro thinks life is paper rock scissors
OPAN DA BLUDY GAYT
Nope🤣
FRUSTRATED: Why can't he be the first Durge victim?
🤣
I agree with every word you said, and I really don't like Lorroakan fight. If Alyn is on our side, she's pretty weak. If we decide to betray her, she not only has like 80 hp more, but also summons 3 Devas to help her. I guess it's due to Larian wanting this fight to be balanced in both outcomes, but come on, with Nightsong as ally I'm having strong impression that she suddenly forgets how to use her sword, magic and totally doesn't feel like powerful lesser diety. Not to mention Lorroakan himself is weak, he and his humanoid companions in my playthrough died like after 2-3 turns, yet his myrmidons are OP and are real pain in the a$$ 😆
True👍
Iguazu and Aradin is on top of my list as the most punchable characters in the game and also Lorroakan.
Who's iguazu?
@@Zyrgia A character in Armored Core 6 super cocky and always down plays your achievement calling it luck.
well he is the "nazeem" of BG3. I don't really hate him but it just kinda weird seeing a person being a jerk through and through, he doesn't even break or change his attitude even in act 3 (I mean, a lot has happen to our party and camp members). either way both the writer and the VA did a good job on making this character a true jerk.
thought that spot was reserved for wulbren
Nah, that's definitely Wulbren Bongle
I gotta think the guy has gambling debts or something he owes given his constant risking his and others lives for gold. 5k gold is a lot but it isn’t an unthinkably high amount- he could have just saved up that amount but for some reason he was in a hurry.
Plus he had an eight man party - he would have had to divide that gold up between that group, leaving him only about $625 gold.
i dunno, the coinhouse apparently only had 10k for the entire population of lower city
@@Dzugashvili Apparently a single gold coin is worth about 600$ in real world terms, so that's still a hefty 375000$ for kidnapping 1 lady. If he somehow finagled the entire 5k for himself that would be 3 million dollars, pretty tidy for some rando level 3 warrior with crippling debts.
@@boanoah6362so a whole chicken is over $1k
I think Aradin is a typical hothead, who believes he can do everything. His arrogance is completely repellent.
I did recognize only today, that he tries to pull that off in Act 3. In my first run, I did not tell him anything about the Nightsong -- and I was basically right to do so. But the joy to kill him, would also be nice (did not kill him once in Act 1 because I want to hold peace with the Druids).
legit the worst npc ever, I hate this guy
but I hate his questline even more because there's basically no choice at all
you can either tell him about the Nightsong or not, it doesn't matter
he's still blaming Lorroakan for his mistakes and trying to reap the rewards for doing absolutely NOTHING
Exactly
I agree that aradin sucks majorly but I think some of his attitude during the raid is his guilt at losing his party. It seems like he may literally just have nothing left. No one left to be with. He gets a group together to raid your camp, sure, but that’s not his friends that he’s grieving from act 1. I think the raid on your camp is a bit of a su1cide mission on purpose. I think aradin really just gives up on life at this point. If he can’t get the gold he may as well just give up ya know?
Either way, one of my favorite moments in the game is whether or not I’ll be able to punch him. That always seems to determine how well I think I’ll do for the rest of the run. Or if he just dies in the fight with the goblins.
Won't spill any spoilers, but after two playthroughs, I just killed Aradin on my third, when he was done arguing with Zevlor, and in low health. Just to avoid later encounters with this pri*k :D
I never meet him in Act 3, because I always kill him in Act 1.
Same. I diffuser the fight at the bloody gate, but always pushed him off the cliff inside the grove.
My opinion he's more like a kid playing with a loaded gun
