If you have kids, just invest in a good painters canvas drop cloth. My oldest is 26 and I still have the original one. It is now a masterpiece of their childhood.
Great tips! 👍🏻 I have another one that you didn’t mention but I think it’s a good thing to know. I was talking to the store manager at my local dollar tree about the huge quantities you have to buy online. His suggestion was you can buy them online and if you have to buy a case of 24 or 36, you can take out what you need and bring the other ones back to the store and exchange them for things that you need, in the store. I thought that was a great idea because then you’re sure to get what you want but you don’t have to waste the ones you’re not using. That’s my my tip!😊
Hello from a fellow Connecticut resident!! I have ordered from Dollar Tree online a few times and have opted to have it shipped to my local store to save on shipping. The problem I run into is that every time I have done that is the store has placed my order on the sales floor for retail sale!! So now I just pay for shipping so I'm guaranteed to get my items.
Wow. You should complain/notify them so it gets corrected. Otherwise they're advertising a service they don't provide. I'm sure it's associates not paying close attention.
Hi, it doesn't sound like it since you are ordering online but have you found a good store around you? All the ones around New Haven are mediocre and don't have the items I've seen in videos.
that's weird because usually they come sealed in its case box and there is a label on it with your name. DT usually puts it in shopping carts, they are located near the office on the far right next to the furthest cash register, but people usually know not to touch those items. i've been buying bulk items for years from DT. maybe you are buying them in smaller quantities. definitely something to watch out for if that happens to anyone. a lot of the DT employees aren't aware that people buy online and ship to the store.
Thank you so much for your ”secrets for shopping ” videos. 💯👏👍❤️I've watched the Walmart video and this one. I thought every item at DT online was sold by the case. Now I know I can order what I need without ordering 24 or 36 of an item. You're very clever and I like it!! You're a smart girl. TFS. Stay safe out there everyone. 😷😷😷
1. Snacks (cheaper by oz.) 2. Party Supplies (serving ware, tablecloths sets of 4, gift bags) 3. Dinnerware (bowls//in quantities of 6) 4. Plate chargers (more variety online) 5. Gardening (terra-cotta potting) 6. Office supplies (notepads/comp books in quantities of 4x12x24 online) 7. Storage (glass jars usually set of 4////usually more variety/items online, BUT usually comes in a pretty bulky amount) 8. Kids toys (doodle pads sets of 4, bubbles sets of 4) 9. Arts + Crafts (colored pens/pencils/markers sets of 8, board canvases) 10. Cleaning (white linen cloth/towels)
I'm *always* ready to watch a dollar tree video! Is that sad? 😂I can't wait until they open / it's safe to go to dollar tree again near me so I can do a dollar tree DIY video! 🙌🏼Love your videos girl! 💛
I don't know what state you're located in but in Alabama I went to the Florence Dollar Tree and they would only let a certain amount of people in I had to wait in line till some people came out so they definitely are doing the social distancing thing and people had on mask so they're taking it very seriously but it depends on what state if your States open or not
@@nealanpaulaking9708 I live in Maryland and that's how most of the grocery store and more essential stores like Home Depot are operating, but stores like Dollar Tree and regular shopping stores are still completely closed as far as I know. I sell a lot of ladies clothing and accessories on Poshmark, Ebay, etc. so I always check DT’s website for goodies to include in each sale with a little thank you card. Recently, I’ve included jade facial rollers, BodyCology bath jelly, can’t think of the brand but they’re macaroon shaped and scented lip balms, really cute! Stickers, gift bags, mason jars are always great too!
Thanks so much for sharing this info. I'm reorganized my home right now and I am constantly looking for the bins that I am using. I may run into a few a week in the stores that I shop at but I am needing more than I am finding and I love the tip about there being ones that the stores do not carry. I will be checking that out today. I would definitely buy snacks in bulk. Right now we are really going through them with every one stuck at home. Thanks for all of these tips!! Keep them coming!! ❤ Ashley from Alabama
So many great tips to shop smart at the dollar tree! I often forget to look at the dollar tree and knowing I can do it online is a huge bonus! Thanks so much for sharing your secrets with us! 😊❤️ also, colored crayons 🖍 😂 love it.
(sort of the same but not really) if an item received from an online order was damaged.. like say you bought a bunch of plates and some came chipped. you can call the store manager and talk to him/her about it. sometimes the manager will be gracious enough to allow you to bring the damaged ones in store and have them exchanged for ones in-store
I like to buy my word search puzzles by the case from DT; there are 4 each of six different books so I just mix them up and I have 24 puzzle books! It’s awesome!! 👏🏻👏🏻
I made my first order a couple weeks ago. 24 plant pots... I had already found some in store but not as many as I wanted. Plus so much more affordable than at least $5 each (24× $5.00 =$120 😣) at my nursery.
Crazyflamingolady85 King They are fun for kitties. One of our cats loves to chase them, the other one is scared of them. So, don't traumatize a timid cat. It is fun to watch our other cat try to figure out what happened to the bubbles.
I love candles . Especially old williamsburg candles I saw two on ebay for 9.98. They were hot cocoa . I bought 12 for 12.78 and did a store pick up. The candles had a good th rut now and smelled wonderful and lasted a long.time.
Wow, the stuff I've gotten by the case from DT: Deodorant for my 3 fellows (they all use the same type, so buying 12 at a time is not nuts), candy at Christmas time, a set of 12 really nice beer glasses for a party (12 of them was perfect, again...), foam boards (my crew needed them for ongoing projects, so a big box wasn't nuts either). Oh, hair conditioner that we all used, and every fall at the beginning of flu season, I get a case of 12 bottles of hand sanitizer. Thank goodness I did that this year! Right now isn't a good time to use as an example - so much is out of stock. But under normal circumstances, this is a wonderful way to go, especially if you have it delivered to your local store. I've had things delivered with the $4.95 shipping special that they sometimes offer, and those times were the ones where there were issues with the items (when you have your purchase shipped to store, you can open the box and examine glass wear, etc.). I highly recommend ordering online.
the only thing i don't like about ordering online is when they have mixed colors or styles and you have no control over that.. like say you want to buy the case but only all black, but they come in a case of black, brown, blue
@@utubestalker.dotcom Funny you responded! I just had my first truly bad experience with a DT online order. LOL 100% cotton hand towels - I've purchased 100% cotton kitchen towels literally countless times. Great experiences/loved them. Got a case of 100% cotton black hand towels for a mudroom bathroom, - a combo made in heaven. That's where my mechanics scrub up. And these towels are dreadful. I started the process of the first wash before use and they are falling apart from the long side in on each towel. Shredding. DT policy is no returns, so Yea. Junk. All I could do is to post a warning review and a photo. I'm not mad as much as stunned. What a wholesale failure. A couple towels, ok, that happens, but I've washed 12 out of the 24 and dang, every one?
Me too! I love watching & making Dollar Tree makeup videos! I knew they had a website and sometimes I’ll browse it, but I have never actually ordered anything before. I need to look into it! I think they do a bulk ordering type thing 🤔💖
Another bonus to buying art supplies in bulk: They make great gift packs for kids birthdays. Kiddo forgot to tell you about a birthday party? You need a last minute gift for your niece or nephew? Packs of crayons, markers, and doodle pads.
This video was great and very useful for me. I will definitely be checking out the Top Rated Cash Back; 😀 I been hesitant to buy online from DT. but now that U gave the run-down, I going to give it a try. Thanks for the work u do putting these videos together!!
Great video. Thanks. I want to buy some thanks from dollar tree but I can’t find in my local store. What has been your experience on the shipping time?
I purchased 100 plate chargers for my best friend’s wedding, had them shipped to our local DT & when we picked them up, noticed that each charger was damaged! Every. Single. One. DT wouldn’t let us return them so I was out $100! We ended up modge podging them. They looked cute but ended up costing $4/each!
I didn’t notice if anyone else said it or not but the other good thing about buying from the online store is that if you do order 36 of something and you only need five of them if you keep your receipt and take them to the store the store will buy them back from you to put on their shelves.
If I buy online and don't need all of the item I must buy my Dollar Tree will buy the extra items. So say I must buy 24 but only need 10 my store will buy the other 14. Check your store before buying

If u bulk shop
I recommend the stickers! 24 or 36 count may seem like a lot, but not when you have a child or two in the toddler-kindergarten age! LOL 😂
schill2002 this is a great idea! My 2 year old just got into stickers and WOW they never just want 1 or 2 lol gotta use the full page!

Thanks for the info about ordering online and saving shipping cost by clicking deliver to my local store!
I used to order from Dollar Tree when they sold yarn. I’d buy a ton and have it shipped to my local store. Great buys! I wish they still sold it.
I usually buy the baskets in bulk because you can make your own gift baskets for friends and family.
