I suffered with gyno for years until i gave up meat & dairy. I switched back to pesco at one point and could only eat white fish to limit the soreness. Since turning vegan in 2019, the gyno has never once reappeared. ANIMAL produce affects hormone balance! 🌱💪

Whenever I get confronted with the manboob or effeminate argument, as an Asian myself I usually first answer with "Are you looking down on the whole history of East Asia and all its men?" The shock value of such a statement usually gives them pause and really gets them questioning their claims. Historically, soy has been a staple food and much more important (due to availability) than meat. It's only in recent years where meat has been readily available.

      Not true.
My father had loads of dairy, especially fresh cream.
It's what is put into the cattle - and more.
A lot of it is due to altrazine and other hormone altering chemicals deliberately put into water and all we consume.
A whole shoal of river fish were taken to extinction by having their hormones feminised. All of the males literally became female and of course they couldn't procreate.
I would rather hear anger about that than anger against the male human victims. Obviously it affects some more than others - especially those younger.
Incidentally, it isn't the soy but the way it's processed and far too much of it in ways it isn't supposed to be consumed.

Actually, soy is one of the best longevity and protein foods on this planet. This has tons of research behind it. Very high in spermidine, very high in glycine and very high in phytonutrients. All of the compounds longevity research screams about. Ofcourse, the dairy lobby has done everything in it's power to stop milk alternatives. GMO Soy is also something I avoid myself, but it's easy here in Europe.

If Rogan is so determined to avoid all soya he had better not eat the cattle or chickens who've been fed soya. Rogan must have similar views about the millions of Japanese and Chinese men who eat soya. Soya consumption doesn't seem to have a detrimental effect on their fertility as is proved by their huge populations. Hulse suggests that eating soya will prevent people from building muscle. The cattle and chicken victims on farms, who are fed soya, manage to put on a lot of muscle for people to eat. I call men who drink animal milk babyboys because it is for babies.

A couple of glaring ironies on this topic.
First is testosterone and other androgens =male/masculine, oestrogens and progesterone = female/feminine/ effeminate.
The endocrine system is a complex interactive system, and all people produce all the hormones, it's the concentrations and balancing mechanisms that are significant....and yes we can interfere with that balancing mechanism with excessive metabolically active sources. Anabolic steroids, famously known for performance enhancing and muscle building, widely used in gyms to produce the "masculine " physique, and based on testosterone, have very femininising effects, such as, genital shrinkage, erectile dysfunction and low sperm counts. That's testosterone, not oestrogen. Balance is crucial for positive health effects.
Venturing into the socially more controversial ironies on the perception of effeminate, the male gay community usually get targeted on this characteristic...yet in my youth the main bodybuilding gym in the town was absolutely dominated by the large gay community and if you want to harp on the shallow visual anesthetics, which is often compelling, I'll admit, no nightclub in the town had members displaying the muscular physiology like the gay disco. How exactly are people looking to ring fence the definition of effeminate according to cultural cliques?

its just a cope. They have a thinly defined and materialist sense about what masculinity is. Its not a fully formed concept at all, and its just used to delineate for the user of the term who is part of their ideological team and who is not.
I think the vegan community does this as well but in reverse. The lables are meaningless. The actions are what matters.

Yeah, you don't need either but soy products are a good healthy source of calories/protein if you choose so. But you could choose other legumes instead if you choose. Every one of the blue zones include a legume as a staple so probably a good idea to at least choose one or a variety of them and that can include soy or not. Other ones are just as good.

    • @Julottt
      @Julottt 3 місяці тому

We dont need any legumes neither, the protein need is very low for the vast majority of people who dont want to build a big amount of muscles, as studies showed 0.5-0.6 gr per kg of healthy body weight.@@BM1982.V2
The common recommendation is 0.8gr/kg because there is a margin to cover all populations.
