- I got to spend an amazing weekend dressing up, taking lots of photos, and eating tons of great food with some really wonderful people! We did a hobbit picnic, dressed up in Rococo gowns, and even had a surprise Sleeping Beauty themed engagement shoot!

It felt like this video was massaging my brain. It was amazing. It was also really cheering to see all the work that goes into beautiful photoshoots. This made me miss my days doing re-enactment back when my friends and I all lived together and could do art and shenanigans. I am so glad and so jealous you got to have such an amazing weekend.

I remember seeing the hobbit picnic pictures a month ago and being in AWE bc everything was so adorable. It became the inspiration for my 20th bday and I’m so excited!! You all were so lovely in those photos 🥺❤️

Not to be dramatic, but I love this video...I cried because it made my heart ache and wish I had friends, liked my body, and can live out my cottagecore fantasies. I absolutely loved the area it was absolutely beautiful. Thsnk you for letting us experience such a wonderful adventure.
i'm so glad you liked the video! to be very honest, this is the first time I've felt like I've made good friends who I really connected with fin a very long time. It took me a lot of failed efforts, but it'll happen for you too eventually! As for body image, that's also an ongoing effort, so don't be discouraged. I really don't want my videos to add to the 'perfect image' of social media, because you're definitely not alone in feeling all those things, so I hope this helped a little!

This was just the right amount of chaos. I've started watching vlogs on other channels but couldn't finish watching because it was just too chaotic for me. This was a little chaotic but not overly and I really enjoyed how you edited everything together.

@@moth.faerie I don't watch a lot of vlogging channels. I usually only see vlogs when I already watch that person's channel to begin with and they happen to do a vlog, which is why I watched this video since I like watching your channel.

I really enjoyed this vlog! I've been looking forward to it for a while. I'll be honest part of the reason I am here is I just like over the top pretty dresses. More pretty dress vlogs!
Maybe something you could do in future vlogs is re-styling old costume pieces? That way you don't have to sew a whole new outfit, so it's less high-effort. Plus it'd be cool to see you go back over old costumes and see how you can make those work with your current experience and style.
Oh that’s a good idea ! I definitely want to do more styling videos but I hadn’t thought of reusing big costume pieces 😊

Poison ivy sucks, and it likes to hide amongst a five-leaf plant called Virginia Creeper that's perfectly harmless to touch unless that poison ivy is hiding underneath like the real creeper. 😭 But you all look great and like you had lots of fun, so super kudos! 👏👏👏👏👏
It’s hiding under a bunch of periwinkle vine in our yard 😭 very unfortunate for my legs lol
@@moth.faerie Same! I've had to go out regularly in jeans, rain boots, and dishwashing gloves and pull it up to toss in the compost pile. Not fun in summer heat. 😂

I personally love the sewing videos because I learn a lot and are amazing to use as a guide along when working on similar projects. But this video was so lovely, sweet and fun, just watching girls have a good time together. I really wouldn't mind seeing more like this and look forward to future video's

I want to do this so bad. It looks like one of those weekends that you'd remember for a lifetime. I imagine it feels a little bit like con, in which every night you're both so excited from the day but dead tired at all times. I don't even want to think about the post weekend feelings.
The photos are beautiful, you all found such a perfect location. I can't get over how beautiful that 5am photoshoot was with the mist rising from the pond.

yeah it was very similar to a con! i think a little less exhausting tho actually haha, fewer people to keep up with and everyone went to sleep much earlier than at cons. i'm so glad you liked it, i'm really happy i was able to share it!
@@moth.faerie Sleep definitely isn't much of a thing at con that's for sure, especially like 5 to 8 years ago. How I changed cosplays three times a day and slept 2 hours, I will never know.

Everyone looked beautiful and it looked like a fun and exhausting weekend. I'd love to see more vlogging like this. Is it ok for me to ask what you do with all your costumes once you've gone to the event or done the photo shoot? Seems like you'd need a ton of storage space if you kept everything, but I can't imagine rehoming or throwing away something on which I'd spent so much time, money, and mental energy. I'm sorry if that's too nosey!
not too nosey! i keep all of my costumes, or if i end up not wearing them for. a really long time i try to sell them. My cosplay stuff is all in giant plastic bins, but the more fantasy stuff I hang in a closet. it does take up quite a bit of space 😅
I aspire to have friends I can have woodland frolics and hobbit picnics with.. tbh I aspire to have friends but one step at a time, such a cute video though :)
