You have an amazing talent for resurrection of the past and the decaying memories of the past. Thankfully the citizens of the UK have an asset like you, and I in the United States have access to your knowledge and research. Your the best Adam. Stay safe and healthy, both you and Chris. Cheers mates!! 👍👍🏴🏴😊😊🇺🇸
Many thanks Martin! Enjoy your week! ⚓️⚓️⭐️⚓️ ps- something funny happened today!! I was in the shops, and the cashier gave me a 5cent coin from America!! How on earth.,, ⭐️⚓️⭐️😂
Hi Adam. Now, this is what every Mudlark should be doing! Telling us information about the sites they actually Mudlark, so I have to award you with that! Thanks 😊
LOL the one time I sleep through my alarm lol Great job, would love to hear more history, I love history and love hearing it from a younger generation and seeing things through their eyes. I love the hard work you produce, It is beautifully edited and you have such a natural talent for getting in all of the beauty and having a focal point. Only thing I have to say is "Slow down and smell the roses" Take your time because when you do you notice more than you first expect and life fly by already that sometimes it is best to slow down and soak it all in. You live in such a beautiful place, you have great access to everything there. I find it horrid cause so many young people hate where they are and can't wait to get away from it but you really live in such an inspirational and amazing area. You are brilliant combing it through... go hit that bottle dump before someone else watches your video and tries to get to it first!!! Love you my dear friend across the pond
Thank you Adam, wonderfully filmed and found the history of the creek very interesting. Those beautiful barges reduced to skeletons 😔but so glad those that didn’t get broken are being restored and cared for⚓️. Wow that train was shifting 😲.
Sad about the barges. Last year it outside was complete, now the backend had collapsed :((( I want to take some home. A Peice of the wood with the nails in. May take it next time ⚓️⚓️⚓️
Fantastic! I really enjoyed this multi faceted video! I look forward to seeing your artwork and more videos of your hometown! That speedy train kinda scared me ha ha! Great work!
Lovely video Adam. One of your best ones yet. We always love to see you and always bring a smile to our face. Best wishes to you and Chris Mark and Julie ⭐️👍⭐️👍
@@Adam-Gates-Mudlark mix it up, have it all, if you can mix it in with a lark do so if not do a history one on its own. Not all larks may have history or you know the history. On another subject I am sorted out a bucket of blue and white for you if you would want it
Hi shire - hope your well, thank you for your comment & feedback. My best regards that I’ve replied so late, I forgot about this video, ha! Well actually, saying that I’m off recording a abandoned railway tomorrow 🙂😊 if it doesn’t rain of course. See you soon & stay well. The anchor Mudlark⚓️🙂
A great video . I think some more local history videos might be cool . I did some mudlarking today it was nice to get out in the lovely sunshine ..stay lucky...V...
Great video, but a couple of slight inaccuracies. Smeed Dean is still alive and well, and Marshall’s are a cement plant next door (nothing to do with clay brick manufacturing). Smeed Dean is the last clay brick manufacturing site in Kent, and we currently produce 16 million bricks per year. The digging you are doing is on our land, and the bottles are from the fire pit ash that was delivered to Smeed Dean on the barges returning from London. That is what gives the Smeed Dean London Stock its distinctive black spotting. Unfortunately, the bricks you were handling, with the slightly rounded frogs, were produced in the last 3 years and not vintage items. Those bricks are weathered, crushed and then added back into the mix. If you want any more information on Smeed Dean and it’s history, please feel free to reach out.
Hi Chris! Thank you for letting me know this fascinating information! I sure would love to know more 😃 I don’t Dig the bottles from the Site, I just pick things up from the surface , this is allowed right? 🙂
I would watch any videos you make about history or whatever, keep up the good work. I must ask, what got you so interested in history? I love your cat Squeaky, I once had a white cat named Squeaky, and we recently rescued a little kitty that looks just like yours we named Squirt. See you next time!
Hi, well covid made me walk around the river, in March 2020 I saw a bottle in the river and it was a rare London bottle!! Ever since I’m been more interested. ⭐️⚓️⭐️⚓️ best wishes - adam
@@Adam-Gates-Mudlark I guess there are a few good things out of this mess, It's great that you live where there is so much history to find. Living in western Oregon USA the finds are very scarce compared to there. We do have our agates and fossils to search for. Cheers
You two will be excellent historians if that’s what you might like. 🤔 Then again maybe research analysts… or how about archeologists.. just sayin, this “hobby” is preparing you for many cool things.
Great video Adam, would be nice to watch the occasional video of your local history
