As a UConn fan relieved we got him back. Hope the team uses this as an impetus to get a threepeat.
last year we were hit with a few minor injuries, but every team has to deal with injuries
6/$70? Less money than what UK offered? Thats crazy.
Agreed! Lakers didn’t make a big enough of an offer. UConn will pay him close to 10 million and the Lakers should have known this.
Ty!!! Crushing the UConn coverage.
When you have recruited HS players and transfers and your family is based in CT...you hear them out but you stay. Likely Bobby was like "no, don't steal my West Coast publicity!!" - anyway great to see Dan stay! '93 grad.
Totally agree mark. Very excited about Solo
okay, we can tire out a lot of teams with our speed, shooting, defense and fresh legs!!
Coach Hurley showed mad class. Connecticut's most honored citizen
Great job Mark
He’s not leaving UConn any time soon
Huskies gonna go at least 9 or maybe 10 deep ! What a " Problem " to have for Coach Hurley & his Staff ! They gonna figure it all out. Don't worry ! 😂
Full Throttle & " Going for the Throat " ! The Rabid Husky way ! 👊
Just substitute 5 at a time, that's what Kentucky did that yr you were talking about!
The players know who's playing best, and if they're team players they want the best on the floor getting the most minutes! If they aren't that, they know they need to get better!

Hey Mark, just wanted to say you've done an excellent job running this channel and having checked out some of the other Locked On channels, yours is far superior.
Where in NY you heading with the fam?
Appreciate that
Going to see my parents they live outside the city near the Hudson river
@@LockedOnUConn nice, enjoy your time off!
Mark has earned a vacation
Ya know...they do make ladder shelves for corners. JS 😊
I have no idea what you’re talking about. Like Dan I’m a 1 trick pony
Sorry Mark. I'm for sure being that guy. I'm commenting on the interior decorating of your new studio. I know right. Im bored lol. At first glance it appears that you have a ladder shelf in a corner behind you but it might be an ordinary shelf. I think a shelf system designed for a corner would be aestheticly more pleasing. That was the point of my comment.
Anyway awesome work on the show. I enjoy it very much being a die hard UCONN fan for over 40 years.
Go Huskies!!!
UConn towel draped over the towel rack is a bit tacky, my friend. That said, for Hurley, the UConn option was clearly superior, especially with the lowball offer from the Lakers (e.g., add 30% for state pension + 10% for tax savings + 10% lower cost of living...LA wasn't even competitive financially, forget everything else).
Agreed! Lakers didn’t make a big enough of an offer. UConn will pay him close to 10 million and the Lakers should have known this.
C'mon...its the Lakers. As an east coast guy there was no way he was going to L.A.
I think the talking heads in media don't understand She was not going to weirdo Cali. Unless the money was insane. Rich on the east coast and happy won
I would have been disappointed if he left after he made such a big fuss about not lying and if he would have left he would have left all them recruits and players high and dry.
How much credibility would he have had left after that?
" Is Anthony Davis much better than LeBron, from like a ' Diva Perspective ' " ? 😂 🤣 👊
Ray, Rip, Emeka, Kemba or Tristen, Rashaad greatest 6'th man, Diarra 2'nd
injuries!!!
What about em
Lakers didn’t make a big enough of an offer. UConn will pay him close to 10 million and the Lakers should have known this. Their offer of 11.5 wasn’t good enough. Uproot your family to tackle a difficult LA rebuild for 1.5 million more? I think not. LA is in a desperate situation and should have put something like 6 years 90 million and if he didn’t bite throw 6 years 100 million. Now they are in tough situation with no good options.
Ned Lamont (governor) publicly stated that in their contract extension negotiation, they would make him the highest paid college basketball coach. Lakers brass should have taken this into account. I am a casual fan and even I knew about Lamont’s comments. Knowing all of this, how did Jeannie Bus and Pelinka mess this up? They should locked the negotiation room and produce the $$$$ to make it happen. Make an offer he couldn’t refuse .
In the end I am happy for Hurley and UConn but dumbfounded by the business incompetence of the lakers organization . When you don’t have a lot of good options they should have understood the correct negotiation move which was to go big!!!
If and when Hurley makes a jump to the NBA … I’m guessing 1-3 years from now, it’ll be the Knicks, Nets or San Antonio. If he 3-peats then he should jump ship and make bank. If he doesn’t 3
Peat, he tries for a few more years.
@@derekf77721 to 3 years? No way. The older he and Andrea get, plus the more comfortable they become, feeling like Storrs is their home, with Dan maintaining his success at the college level, winning more championships,he’s not going anywhere.
Lebron bashing is not valid, it's his players and the commitment they made to him and also to the parents. That's enough.
I'm not bashing lebron, he's a top player in the NBA and will continue to be until he retires but he is a LEGIT COACH KILLER and he's never been about accountability. So That is 100 pct a factor into why Dan Hurley turned down the lakers
